Samsung :: How To Sync Contacts To Reality?
Does anyone know how to sync contacts to the Reality? I have my contacts on outlook, in a csv and in a vcf format. Figured it out. Here are the steps just in case someone is wondering.
Menu>Setting & Tools>Tools>USB Mass Storage. Copy your vcf contacts to your memory card in the my_contact folder.
Then Setting& Tools>Memory>Card Memory >My contacts, select "move" and select all and then move to phone. This will take the contact from the memory card and move them to the phone.

Samsung :: Reality - Play Movies?
I just upgraded my phone to a Samsung Reality and have a couple of questions. I was at the t-mobile store and saw the new Samsung phone that comes pre-loaded with Avatar, and that got me thinking, Can the Samsung Reality play movies if I can find a way to load them on an SD card?

Samsung :: How To Sync Contacts With Your A900 Via USB
I recently bought an A900, and discovered that if I wanted to sync contacts with it, I would have to: 1) Get a bluetooth dongle for my laptop 2) Load all my contacts into Outlook 3) Somehow use Bitpim to transfer them Well, screw that. I don't have a bluetooth dongle, and I don't use Outlook. I do have a USB data cable, I want to use that. If you want to use it, you will need to download one or both of these: http://www.samsungtelecom.com/driver...900.zip?go=yes [url] You might just need the Contacts Copier program, if not the drivers for the phone are in the first link. First thing to do is use Contacts Copier to backup your phone's contacts. If you can't get that working, none of this is going to work. The only advice I have is if it's sitting at the "trying to connect" countdown screen, click "Back", unplug the USB cable, plug it back in, and try again. It seems to forget the phone's there about half the time, and doing that always works for me. Now that you have a PBO file, download this: [url] This is a Visual C++ project with an EXE file in the folder. To use the program, type "A900_contacts.exe file.pbo" where "file.pbo" is your PBO file. At this point, all the program does is parse the file and print your contacts to the screen. As I have time this week I'm going to modify the program so it can take contacts from my Samsung i500 (probably in the form of a CSV file) and generate an appropriate PBO file. The bonus with doing it this way is you can ignore the phone's built-in character limits for fields. More than 20 characters for a name, etc. I'm not sure what happens if you try to load a file containing more than 500 phone numbers yet. In the meantime, if you run into problems, or the output isn't correct, or have any other questions, let me know. I haven't tested this with an A900m (because I don't have one) so if someone could let me know if this all works with those that'd be great.

Samsung :: C417 - Unable To Sync Calendar / Contacts With Phone
I have a laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium with Office '07 installed on it. I use Outlook '07 to manage my contacts on the notebook. Most of the contacts have their birthday saved as well & in Outlook it appears as a never-ending re-occurring event so in the future when the date arrives I'm notified/reminded about the birthday. I've installed Samsung PC Studio 3 (Vista version) & sync my phones; Samsung X820, Samsung C417 using it. However, when I sync the contacts from Outlook '07 with my cell phones, the birthdays do not come as re-occurring events in the calendar of the phone so I would not be notified about the birthday on my phone. Is there any solution for this? For instance if a contacts birthday was Jan-01-2000. It would appear in the phone as an appointment on Jan-01-2000 & not be re-occurring for the future where as on Outlook it will be re-occurring till forever.

IPhone :: Sync Contacts With Google Contacts And Override The Contacts In The 4s?
I just bought a new iPhone 4S. I have sync'd the contacts with my Google contacts, but now I've got many more contacts and many duplicates that I don't want ... in both places. I've gone through Google contacts carefully, deleting the ones I don't want, scrubbing the list carefully. Now I want to pull the corrected list into the iPhone, and have Google overrride all incorrect contacts, and delete any of the contacts that I deleted in Google.

IPhone :: Exchange ActiveSync -- Calendars Sync, Contacts Sync, Mail Does NOT
My contacts, calendar and mail folders are all syncing fine, suggesting that the OMA and certifucate setup is fine. However, my mailbox wont sync... When i try to open any of the folders on my iPhone it says... "Connecting..." (with the spinner) for about 2 mins, then throws... "Cannot Get Mail" "The connection to the server failed." Using Network Monitor on the server, I can see that there is a SSL connection established to the server, and indeed, the fact that the folders, contacts, and calendar are syncing mean that clearly it CAN connect to the server. No log files on this crappy device makes it extremely difficult to diagnose. Information: Windows Vista

IPhone :: Sync Error Message / ITunes Could Not Sync Contacts
This just started today: "iTunes could not sync contacts to the iPhone "My Phone" because an error occured while merging data" Info: I'm running iTunes 9 and 4.0.1 on my iPhone which is a 3GS. They sync with Google Contacts. I did just install a group contact app called ABCLite (fyi, have no idea if this is related). I use my contacts a LOT on both the phone and the computer so I really need them to sync! Information: 3GS iOS 4

BB Tour 9630 :: Sync Group Contacts Or Export Contacts To CSV?
I've read multiple threads on this topic and still not having much luck here. I don't want to get into all the details, but let's just say I'm not smart. I managed to blow away all my contacts in outlook (playing with Google sync), and I want to get them back. Thankfully my BES/Exchange admins have a rolling 7 day backup, but unfortunately I don't know if they're going to get to it in time.So here's where I am. Thankfully I used the desktop manager to make a backup back in August. The problem is, that I can not restore my contacts as they are set to sync wirelessly. So I turned off wireless sync and then it allowed me to restore my contacts. Awesome, I have my contacts back on my phone, but they won't sync back to BES. My contacts (at the top of each) shows "synchronize using unknown". When I check my options, I see two contacts lists: "desktop" and "unknown". Desktop has no entries, unknown has all of them.So that's where I'm at. At this point I need to either: 1) Figure out how to move my contacts into the desktop contact list so that they'll sync properly 2) Export all my contacts via CSV either from the backup file or from my phone and then import them into Outlook so that they'll re-sync that way. or is there something I'm missing?

BB Curve 83xx :: BES Contacts / Contacts On Outlook Not Sync Wireless
I have a sprint Curve 8330 4.5 on BES. It has worked with no problems until I upgrades to DM 5.0. Now I have some weird things happening to my contacts. 1. There is always 1 name in my list that is listed 5 times on my blackberry but only once in my outlook 2007. If I delete it the contact on my blackberry it is gone for good, both blackberry and outlook. 2. There are contacts on Outlook that will not sync wireless or when I plug it in to my blackberry. I have tried deleting the contact on outlook and then re-entering it, that works for a while and then disapears on my blackberry later. 3. On most of my contacts on blackberry, if you click there name under Company I get this "(*PLMO*<RGT>8=AAAAAAA</RGT>)" If I click edit, quote is under a field I have never seen called "Company Name Reading"If I delete company info that disapears "company name reading" and the PLMO info. But it always comes back when I plug it in. I have called IT department and they had no clue and can not get someone over to look at it until Thursday. Was hoping someone can help me out.I have tried battery pull and wiping my device.

Xperia X10 :: Google Contacts Won't Sync Any More, And Appear In Addition To Phone Contacts
I have the Xperia 10, and overall really like the phone. I've had Sony phones for the last couple, but this is the first android phone. I've managed to get all my contacts onto the phone, and recovered them after they were lost from the back up in the latest upgrade. 1. All my contacts now have multiple phone numbers/emails addresses/mail addresses as when I first synced the phone with my googlemail and facebook accounts, instead of comparing the data and realising that's the same home/mobile phone number etc, it all appears again so duplicating/triplicating (within the file, the name doesn't appear more than once). Is this normal, as it's really annoying and difficult to actually call/email people? 2. My phone won't now sync with the googlemail contact changes I've made online - am I doing something wrong? It will sync the mail and calendar, but the circle arrow icon spins for a bit, then stays there stopped (it doesn't then disappear like for the others when the sync is completed) for the contacts.
