Samsung Galaxy S II :: App Images Appearing Between Loading And Closing Of Other Apps?
Aug 26, 2011I play a game called Haypi Kingdom on my phone which is quite addictive. The problem I have however is not with the game itself but with the images it has put on my phone to run itself, they seem to have 'inbedded'into the system on my phone so when for example I go into my camera I have a Haypi symbol on the bar at the top and then when I close it and its between closing an app and going to the main screen or vice versa the Haypi Kingdom shield and sword and severaL motifs appear briefly.I have tried removing the game to get rid of this but it still happens even when its not installed now, its like as if its installed a Haypi Kingdom theme to my phone! I like the game but not so much that I want to see it all over my phone!

I have updated software (even though phone didn't see the new firmware) & it didn't help. My 9800 only did this if I opened too many pages. Only 1 page runnning when this happens

Nov 14, 2011No matter if I've just rebooted my xoom or if It's been on for a while, whenever I decide to suft the web using the stock browser I have the ability to for maybe 5-10 minutes and then it will just randomly crash and I have to open it again. I'm not doing anything that could be considered memory or processor intensive.

Jul 12, 2011Most applications don't seem to have an exit option and the only way I know to close them is the via the "Back" button at bottom right.
In the native Web Browser this button doesn't close the browser but just goes back to the last web page; and then the next last, etc until it runs out of previous pages and then closes.
It's an awful way of closing the browser, going back though all previous pages; and often there are warnings that you may be re-posting data again.
If I press the left menu button I can get to "Windows" and if there are more than one there is a "minus" sign top right allowing it to be closed. But when there is only one window there is no minus sign.
So if I've been doing some interaction with my bank and want to close the single main window I have to select "Menu", "Windows", create a "New window", select the new window, go back to the "Menu" choose "Windows" again, find the minus sign on the original window press to close it, then go back to the new window and press "Back" to close that one.

Nov 5, 2012I have Nokia 701 with FP2, Whenever I open the default browser or software update, the background apps or open apps like Nokia store, opera mini are closing on their own. When I closed the software update and started to use the opera mini and Nokia store, the Nokia store app is closing on its own. Other problems with fp2 are, camera takes long time to open. Gallery opens but we cannot tap on images, same thing with thumbnail image in the camera sometimes.

Jul 13, 2011how to close the Internet browser on the S2. After viewing several pages via links I don't know how to exit the browser. If I just exit the app by pressing the Home button it means that the next time I tap the Internet button it takes me immediately to the last page I was viewing. Surely that's wrong and there must be some way of closing the browser properly.

Jun 1, 2011I've come from an iPhone 3GS where in order to scroll within drop down lists in the browser, you use two fingers to scroll up and down, then 1 finger to make your selection. This doesn't seem to work on the Galaxy S2. Is there another multitouch way to interact with drop down lists?or example, a site requested my date of birth and the drop down list for year started at 1902 and showed the next five years. The only way I could work out how to get to my year of birth was to select the highest number showing which then closed the list, reselect the list and select the highest number showing which then closed the list, reselect the list and select the highest number showing which then closed the list, reselect the list and select the highest number showing which then closed the list and so on and so forth until I got to my year of birth.

Oct 5, 2011When I try to clear the browser history the program crashes. I have tried a couple of apps from the Market but neither of them have worked.
I have tried, unsuccessfully, to locate the history cache in the filing system.
P.S. I can delete history links one at a time. Is it just that I have allowed the cache to get too large before trying to delete it - I'm not sure I have ever cleared it before!

Nov 22, 2012i am trying to play cityville on the samsung galaxy sii using the stock internet browser. i can open facebook without any problems but when i click on the cityville link, the loading bar at the top just keeps refreshing every time it gets to the end and the page doesn't ever seem to load. there are android cityville apps but you can't use them to play the actual game, just check and collect bonuses.

May 28, 2014So i have been using a Galaxy S5 for about a month now... I noticed i was getting fullscreen pop ups and i though it was some downloaded apps and i removed them. But I am still getting them and i noticed it was only when I backout completely out of hangouts messaging app. If i press home or switch to another app I dont see the add. It has a grey background and the letter "i" on bottom left corner where i can press and it displays "ads by google".
I have scanned with Lookout, App brain and some other popular ad detector tools and nothing pops up so my guess is some setting on the phone that i might be opting out of something. Or maybe i turned off bloatware that is causing me this. My wife has the same phone and uses hangouts and its not getting the pop ups.
Galaxy S6 Edge :: App Windows Keep Closing Randomly?
Nov 5, 2015I've been noticing this happening for awhile now.. for some reason my app windows will close randomly- no warnings, no errors, i tap the Recents key and apps that i had open are now gone.
There doesn't seem to be any pattern or consistency to this, i'll just eventually notice after doing things in other apps, that when i tap the Recents key, one (or more) have closed- in some cases i've had multiple apps open and they've all closed- ie, tap the Recents key and it's blank.
For example, just recently i had the Facebook app open (along with a few others), and when i went back to open it from the Recents key, it was gone. i've also noticed the same thing happen with the Instagram app, but i believe there are others..
So I'm assuming this isn't supposed to happen? my only thought was maybe apps are crashing when too much stuff is open at once, thought it's a pretty high end phone, and i typically only have 3-4 apps open at the same time, at most.. or maybe apps are closed automatically if they're open for too long with no activity? i can say that in some of these cases the apps had been open for hours or in some cases days by the time i noticed they were closed..
Galaxy S6 :: Chrome Has Been Closing Shortly After Launch
May 26, 2015Been having this problem the past few days where i open chrome, and within about 10 seconds (random time intervals) it will just close.
Sometimes i can get it open type in the address bar what i was going to type in and then it closes, sometimes i open the app and it closes right away. I haven't seen any updates recently so not sure whats been going on.I just tried clearing the app cache to see if that works, will report back later.
Clearing Cache didn't work, still seeing the issue. Can't seem to re-create it as it happens at random, but it is still happening.

Jul 27, 2015I have had my galaxy s6 edge for a few months and I love it. Just recently, though, I have been experiencing some issues. My phone gets very hot and a notification pops us that says "Closing apps to cool down", all of my unnecessary apps close and then my home-screen image changes to the default. This has happened about 3 times and I am wondering if it may be a defect in my phone. Ever since this issue started my battery life has been terrible it only lasts about 6-7 hours. I wipe cache pretty much every week and I am on Verizon.

I do not use the mobile browser/internet aspect at all, I use the phone as a phone and for texting.After the first bill came in with over $25.00 of data charges I called Bell and got the they are legit charges and maybe you should just pay us a extra $10/ month for unlimited data to save yourself some money.I now lock the face keys and have bought a phone case and don't carry the phone in my pocket at all now so I don't believe there is any accidental button pushed which causes the phone to go online.The per usage data is low 0.014 or 0.0068 megabytes per use but it happens every day and adds up.Is there a feature I may have inadvertently turned on in the phone which causes it to go online to update some thing? I've gone through the phone and do not see anything obvious.

If you have the Samsung Convoy 2 you have probably noticed that the default shortcut assigned to the left side of the directional pad is to the Opera Mini browser. So far so good, I like that. It opens immediately. But it happens to go to a pre-assigned webpage, the My Verizon Account sign in, and throws up a security form that I have to click past - every time! I called Verizon tech support, they had a handset on hand and confirmed the behavior and the presumed irritation of their user base. But all they could do was to point me toward Samsung and said if the manufacturer gets enough complaints they might change it.
