It seems like everytime i try to search for an app, it comes up as blank? however, if soemone sends me a recommendation for an app that works for the bb9900 and I click on the link it'll work. But when i try to search the exact same app, nothing comes up. I can go through the list by categories and sub categories. But the search through bb app world doesn't work..
View 7 RepliesMy nexus 5 is having some issues. Every time I go on google, and type something in my screen bounces back to a blank search. For example, I go on google and type in something like, i don't know, car and driver, and then click search, the screen will search but then revert back all of a sudden to the home screen. I'll do it 2 or 3 times and then it finally works. Have any of you had this issue where the screen bounces back to a blank search?

Is there a known issue with the Search Screen Keyboard not hiding itself when you leave the search screen in IOS 5.1.1? Ever since I upgraded, if I go to the search screen, then flick the screen back to the first Aps page, the keyboard stays there in the middle of the screen and I have to click the off button off and on again.

My Blackberry Bold 9900 is not turning on.Details: A battery pull has not fixed my problem.I tried using another 9900 battery, however it did not work.My battery does not work on other 9900 devices.There are no signs of moisture, nor has there been contact with water.The LED light doesn't show, nor does anything on the screen.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently deployed a new BB Pearl 9100 to a user that is attached to a BES server w/ MS Exchange 2003. This is the users first blackberry coming from a Nokia device. They are used to viewing their contacts by typing in the first character of the contacts last name such as "S" for 'John Smith" and all contacts whose last name starts with "S" are displayed.
On the current BB 9100 I can change the sort option on the phone by going to Contacts | Options | Contact Display and Actions | Sort By: Last Name. But when the user searches the contacts and types the letter "S" for 'John Smith' on the Blackberry, the user is shown all contacts that contain the letter "S" (first name, last name, or company). I know that you can type"SMI" to narrow your query but is there a function on the device or a BES policy that can be applied to display/search for contacts in the manner that they are used to?
I've only just noticed this today but a part of my screen doesn't respond to my touch. Weird as it's only in a specific area, just to the right of the centre through to the top of the screen. The rest of the touchscreen works perfectly fine. I've ran the touchscreen test via diagnostics and the line I draw breaks whenever I go through that area of the screen. This is getting annoying as I've just sent it off for repairs 3 weeks ago for a faulty headphone jack.

So the weirdest thing is when I try to search for available updates, It would start a search but then stop. No window prompt saying whether there's a new update or no update available.
I tried clearing the cache partition, resetting the phone. But no luck. It'll just search and then stop.
When I access the app store I can only search. Catagories and top 25 are not available. It started after I was having issues with my phone and performed a restore. My apple id is logged in and the settings apear to be ok. Any ideas on what might be going on?

Anyhow, it seems that I can't use TTS(Text to Speech) at all, even with Voice Data installed. And, my device didn't come with the Voice Dialer or the Voice Search apps, and they never did pop up after the 2.1 Update.

I don't understand how this happening, I don't know where to turn this OFF. The menus were not so friendly actually. Emails, Internet connection setups, WAP Services something were all around. It's not been sorted out accordingly. The user is almost dizzy how to operate this "friendly" phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've searched high and low, it seems I may be the first to report this issue:not long after I upgraded to the new firmware, I noticed that I can no longer search my contact list; I can get into contact list, but when I try to type some letters into the search box, the letters do not "stay", it comes up for a very brief moment and then deletes itself :-/

I've tried typing in other application: works as normal
I've tried clearing the cache using y-browser: no good
I've tried reseting the phone - both the 7370 and 7780 method: doesn't really fix it -> 7370 reset will fix it for a while, but as soon as I load my contact lists back in, it either stops working or allow for one more search and then it's gone.I'm suspecting it's related to the new firmware... and that's pretty much the only thing I haven't tried, I don't know how to roll-back the firmware

I have a missed called from someone and I'm sure I know the number but can't figure out who the caller was because evidently I have it with two contact entries.I dont want to search more than 400 contacts!
I'm using E72, and I have big problem on this. It never automatic search GSM network when it lost it mean my phone coming to out of service until I go to. Setting -> Phone -> Network to manual search. And here the parameter in my cellphone: Network mode : GSM Operator selection : Automatic.

Why can't you set Contacts to search by company? The settings only allow you to sort by first or last name.
