Not Enough Space To Restore ITunes Backup On IPhone 5
Sep 5, 2014
I am trying to restore a backup from iTunes for my iphone. It tells me I have not enough free space. I already deleted lots of photos and apps. Still no luck. Could I reset my phone to factory settings and do it that way? The reason I have to go through all this is, I lost a whole thread of text message from one person and need them back.¬
Im using Iphone 4 32G and a windows XP. the space in my local disk C: is not enough to restore my Iphone but I already backup my Iphone and its on my C: So when I restore It copies the backup again on C: So what should I do? I need my stuffs back !

'May 19 10:33:32 BigBears-iPhone BackupAgent2 <Warning>: ERROR: Restore error - File path in set of paths not to back up: AppDomain-com.moji.MojiWeather:Library/SyncedPreferences (MBErrorDomain/205)

I attempted to upgrade my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1.1.I selected 'back up' from the phone in the device menu and iTunes confirmed that the phone had been backed up. I then installed iOS 5.1.1 which wiped everything on the phone & now I am getting the error iTunes could not restore the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that is being restored"I have tried restoring factory settings but iTunes simply will not restore from back up & I'm not sure what else to do
My phone Iphone 5s is broken so istead of it, I received an Iphone 4. I tryed to restore the back-up on it but iTunes asked a password that i can`t remember, in order to unlock the back-up of my iPhone. What can I do because I can`t remember the password. I have also backed-up on icloud, but only contacts. Photos and many other apps were backed-up on itunes.
I just deleted an iMessage thread on accident. I went to plug my phone in to restore from a backup I did last night, but of course it automatically synced as soon as I plugged it in, and now it wants to restore from the backup it just made (in which the messages have already been deleted). Is there a way to select a backup point inm the past that is not the most recent one? I am not using iCloud (yet).
I discovered that i deleted videos and pictures that i did not want to delete and need them back. I have since backed my iphone up a few times on itunes and need to recovers my pictures from further back. I tried the iphone extracter but it would only let me recover from my most recent back up
My new iPhone 6 won't restore an older back up from my iPhone 5 that is saved via my iTunes on my mac as it says the backup is corrupt. I gather this is something to do with different software versions on the two devices but is there a way to resolve this?
I tried to update my iPhone 4S with the most recent OS but an error occurred and it's gone into recovery mode. I want to restore the phone from a backup (which was created just before I tried to update) but the option is greyed out in iTunes... ¬
Do I need to restore the phone to factory settings first?
I have downloaded a new version of iOS. And now trying to restore all of the information from the backup from itunes and it wants an encrypted password. I have never created a password for back up and I don't know what to do!!! my phone is dead now!
I was at a Genius Bar earlier today and they gave me a replacement iPhone 4. I had my laptop with me to transfer everything over and the guy working commented that I shouldn't use data encryption on the backup, so I said fine and he deactivated the option. I believe it was at this point that I was asked to enter the password, which I did. After a long time processing, there was an error message at the end. I wish I could remember what it said, but the guy said it should be fine. He wiped my phone I was returning, and then we set about to restore my new phone from the backup. Only problem is now iTunes doesn't recognize the password from my encrypted backup (this is the only one available). I don't know if something was corrupted during the attempt to deactivate encryption, or if this could be something else? I am positive I know the password‚ÄĒI entered it earlier in the process, and besides, it's the same as my passcode.
I was basically ushered out of the store because the guy said he didn't know what else to do. He just muttered some stuff about third party programs which Apple doesn't support which could retrieve data from a backup. I asked how those could possibly work on an encrypted backup and he didn't seem to have an answer.
I just had my iphone4 upgraded to the latest os .. prior to the upgrade, i synced my contacts and noted using outlook ... however, after the upgrade, when i tried to restore, nothing happened ... so i kept trying, until i discovered that my old backup have been changed to a different date (after the upgrade) ... which means my old backup is gone! is there any way i can restore an older backup? can i do a system restore of itunes or something? by the way, i am using windows 7 ...
I have restored my phone settings and now trying to restore apps & music from Itunes on my computer but is asking for my backup password. I tried my password that I have always used when getting new apps, etc. but that didn't work. I'm loss as to what to do.. I can't even use my phone at this moment because there is nothing on it..
I had assumed i would be able to save/backup/restore the most important info on my cell like my text messages, phone contacts and ALL my photos in my photostream thru iTunes and NOT have to shell out $3.99US + taxes to be able to do so!¬ The App Store has only 1 free app (out of a whopping 5) which, of course, i cannot use on my 6.1.6 iOS..
How can i backup my messages and contacts? How do I add more options from where I backup email contacts etc etc OTHER than just Microsoft programs?¬ i.e. From Chrome or FireFox.
How do I save and access ALL my 600 pics from my phone when only 56 are listed to be able to be saved on iTunes? Would I be completely delusional to hope there is an app or software that could do a cross-platform transfer of my stuff to an Android phone....??¬
I lost my phone and needed to get a replacement. When I did, I started the activation process, but never got prompted to restore from iCloud, just from my last backup in iTunes. I've run the restoration, and the backup was pretty out of date. Is there a way to restore the backup I'd set up in iCloud at this point?
Both my mom and i have an iPhone 4. before we were on the same iCloud account but yesterday my mom made her own. So she can backup her phone to the iCloud. Also yesterday i got a replacement iPhone 4 because my lock button had broke. Everything on my phone is the same they used the iCloud to back everything up. However i want to backup my phone to iCloud but on my phone under the backup and storage, i have 3 phones therefore theres not enough space to backup my phone. I have my first iphone 4, my moms, and my new iphone 4. i already deleted my moms backup but there isnt enough room still. Is there a way i could merge my old phone and my new phones' backups? and what would happen if i deleted my old phones backup? i dont want to lose anything!
I have been having this issue ever since I have gotten the iPhone 4. Its really irittating because my 4 is only 8GBs. Every time I connect my 4 to my computer, iTunes pops up and it syncs it and go through the steps of sync and backing up. But when it does this, my other memory space goes up. Every time I use my iPhone 4 then need to put more music or something it goes through that synchronization process and back up, which then makes my other space go up more. Now I only have 1.1GB of space left. I been having this problem and trying to figure out what is the problem. But when today I connect it I notice it goes up when backing up and all that. I have research a lot of people have the same issue but its because of something else, or because they "Jailbreak It" which mines is not. My iPhone 4 is on the latest ios5 which is 5.1.1.
