Nokia :: Upgraded N97 Firmware Games List Empty

I upgraded my N97 to the latest firmware. After upgrading I have noticed that my games list is empty.When I go to my Games section it displays "Empty".The only game I have in N97 is Guitar Rock God or something like that.But when I go to the Applications I can see that game in there.So the thing I want to know is how to put that game back to the Games list.I'm pretty much new to N97 so I dont wanna screw anything up by doing experiments.

I fecently upgraded the firmware (as suggested by Nokia) on my E72. The firmware version is 031.023. Everything seems to be working fine except for the message alert tone. Ever since the upgrade was made, there's no more alert whenever a new SMS comes in. It's causing too much hassle since I have to look at my phone every so often.
I've tried reinstalling the firmware but the same problem occurs.I've tried changing the alert tones but to no avail.All other alerts except for the SMS works.

The contacts are deffo saved to the phone following the restore. I can do texts based on my contacts, and phone recognises numbers from incoming calls.But for some reason the contacts hotkey wont being up my contacts, which is making calling people a little difficult. I have tried setting the key to be something different and changing back to no avail.

I was asked to either take it to the service center or upgrade the firmware. Then I upgraded the firmware and no change. Then since I was busy with work only today I got the opportunity to take it to the service center. I gave it to the service centre they flashed the handset and still no change. Now as per them it has to go to the head office and they have to repair it. I explained to them that this is a new handset what kind of repair are we looking at. She said the system board needs to be replaced as it was over heating.
I do not want to take any chances as the phone us heating up hence I asked her for a brand new one. She said that it is the sole decision of the Company. Hence I have given it for service. Details are below. Job Sheet Number: 310-465550/100312/7 NCC:- 310-465550 I also then called nokia customer care and complained that I needed a new handset as the phone was over heating. Nokia Complaint Number:- 1-10882690643.

My new E72 doesn't seem to support contact groups as well as my old N73.
Once upon a time I used to prefix contact names with special characters so that I could sort by different types in the contact list.
I then got my N73 with contact groups, so I used those instead and did away with the prefixes in the names.
The N73 let me quickly switch from the full contact list to the groups tab, so that I could then select the appropriate group and find the contact within it that I wanted.
Now I've 'upgraded' to an E72, I still have Groups, but they buried in the the full contact list in alphabetical order, so I can't select them quickly.
To make matters worse, there's no use reverting back to my ol prefixing strategy, because special characters (non alphanum) now seem to be ignored as part of the collating sequence, so I cannot easily influence the order of entries.

I use nokia 5230. after I updated from 12.0.089 to 20.0.005. I feel better on dragging menu icon, faster and wider screen web browser, more stable music player. but I found some bugs that:
1. When I opened web browser for 3-4 pages with music player and then went to menu(all programs still opened) screen still show contact bar and menu's icons didn't showed.
2. Programs installer are much time freezes if open after downloaded from web browser immediately.
3. Sometime menu icons don't responded espectially specially the Application icon and Log icon
4. Phone lock slide bar sometime vibrate agaist the slide but sometime not.

I'm starting this thread to list newly introduced bugs in 21.0.045. I am, uhm, flabbergasted with it. I don't see any real fixes, but I noticed new bugs that didn't exist in v20!
#1: I'm on a concall right now, with speakerphone activated. I hit the Mute button, and the screen has a big handset with the red slash icon, and on the top of the screen right below the carrier name, the message "Muted" is displayed. But, if you unmute the phone, the big icon disappears, but the message "Muted" doesn't go away.
#2: The dialer seems to have a lag now. You press any number "too fast", the display will register the hits, but the audio tones will skip. Not a big deal, but it makes you think you didn't hit one of the buttons, so you either hang up and redial, or you stop and double-look. This didn't occur in v20, so I'm surprised that this exists now.

planning to buy this phone. I understand that it has Android OS, v1.6 (Donut),upgradable to v2.1... if you have 2.1 you can only install games/applications to the phone memory. if you have upgraded to os 2.3 will you be able to install the games to the mem card?

When go into my contacts list and the first thing is the "New Contact:" space. Right under that it says "*No Contacts*" And then there are like 5 empty spaces, and only then are the contacts. When I try to save a new contact, it occupies all the empty spaces, and I would have 5 straight contacts with the same name! help!!

I have a sony erricson W395 and I have saved the contacts from my old SIM card onto my new phone memory, I put the new SIM card in and I cant find the contacts that are saved on the phone, the contacts list is empty. But if I type in my home number and ring it, it comes up with ringing home. Yet if the contact weren't saved on the phone it would come up with random number ringing and not saying calling home. How to transfer my contacts from my phone memory to my official contacts list/

some games was working so good till i uptade to ICS then all of games didnt work and touch screen make me crazy untill i downgrade again by flashtool 2 GB then every thing bcome great as it was bs some games FC and give the same msgs that i faced on ICS. so is there any report file on the fone that i can delete to make the games work again or something like that.

After updating the firmware (V31.0.004) on my X6 and then restoring the back up file, none of my games work anymore. The games are still there for me to select but will not open. When I try to get the games from the Ovi Store again a message says that the link has been sent to my phone but I don't receive it.

I got a user whos just recently upgraded to the E72. After the inital setup of MFE, she noticed that her inbox was empty, I tried reinstalling the mailbox, restarted the E72, it didn't work. I then tried putting her sim in my own E72, setting up the mailbox, using her settings, then my inbox got deleted and left empty. I swapped SIM again, and was slightly going into panic as my inbox was still empty after I applied my MFE settings, a reboot however, fixed it. Then I tried deleting/moving what was in her inbox on the PC, still no success. I then tried putting the sim in a old E61 and this time it registrered a test email. So the inbox seems to work on the E61 and not the E72 for some strange reason.

Is there a way I can make some of the pre-loaded games like Crash Bandicoot or Star Battalion and just make them like regular games so I can move them to an SD card and get get them off my phone?
I don't really want to delete them, as I like them, I just don't want them to be part of my phone if possible.

I just bought a Samsung Impact (T794) without a data plan. Is there a way to copy downloaded Java games into the Games Cell Folder through the USB?Whenever I try, I can only copy it to the other folders on the phone or Mini-SD card and the phone will not recognize/run the program in Java.

I used to store all texts in memory card. Yesterday as usual I tried to open the msg frm my frnd and suddenly the phone freezed. I had to remove the battery and put it back to make phone working, but then I was shocked to see that inbox was empty! I'm confused as what would've been wrong. I had around 5000+ texts. Is that a reason or could it be a virus?

Unfortunately, I made the error of upgrading my N8 to belle. Among many other DISASTERS of this ***bleep*** system, when I now connect the phone to my computer (in any way you like: mass storage, OVI, Bluetooth, either in MAC or Windows ambients) there is no way of seeing ALL the photos I have in the telephone. Some of them appear, some don't.
could you tell whether there is any way of seeing and transferring them all?
just acknowledge the fact that you inserted a BIG BUG (actually, more than one, but let's talk about this one for the moment) in belle. Believe me: having lost the possibility of transferring photos is little more than extremely annoying.

i have nokia n8 the device turned off after empty battery then i installed the charger such as the habit of before then i waited a littel bit of time and then cam the writing nokia .then comes the five pointes that bleaching series lengh of time at now every thing is ok as you think but i say no after that i try turned it on but the five points that bleaching series lengght of time .then stop five points for glow period of time then re-glare five points of a new glow then stop then re-process for four times then switches off the device i try pushe at button (off / on ) 8 secends then felling 3 times vibrate ...but no thing hapen always same proplem nokia my device not want go to home screen !this problem happened to me after belle refresh update ( before the update was normal the battery is disharged and re without any problems ) nokia pleas dont tell me go to nokia care centre beceuse we have no on in algeria

I downloaded the Facebook app for my Nokia 5800XM so I could do some real time travel blogging on my Facebook and share the pictures I take with the Nokia. The Facebook app does offer such a upload functionality, however the thumbnails from the photo gallery is all blank so you do not have a chance to choose the picture you want.

I have a Nokia N8. I downloaded the LinkedIn App from the Ovi store. When I try to share an update I get an error saying "'submitted-url' can not be empty". There's text in the main window and I've tried all the combinations of visible to and post on twitter, but I get the same error.

My E72 always shows the outbox notification icon at the bottom of the screen even when all emails and messages have been sent. I think that this means the phone has unsent emails or messages but there are none.Apart from that good phone.

I lost all my Text Messages eventhough I did a backup and restore using Content Copier. What I did was:
1) Backup my n95 using Content Copier (backup log is shown down below)
2) upgraded my n95 to the latest firmware and it was a success
after the upgrade it deleted all my Text Messages
3) Restore using Content Copier: Contacts, Calendars, etc. were restored except none was restored on any of my Text Messages folders (Inbox, Sent, etc.) are all empty.
What did I do wrong given the log even stated I can transfer the Text Messages to another phone?
Backup log:
Backup includes:
- User files
radiostations.db
etc.. etc..
- Full backup
Wireless keybd.
CentralRepository
etc.. etc..
Following content can be copied to other device models:
- User files
radiostations.db
etc.. etc...
- Contacts
- Calendar
- Text messages
- Bookmarks
I did try to restore using Device Memory, Memory Card, Device & Memory Card but still none of my Text Message have been restored. My Content Copier software version is v6.82.15
