Nokia :: Phone Always Connected To WLAN Network
Jun 7, 2010My phone stays always connected to the WLAN network wherever available say at my home, at office. When i go to WLAN Wizards and disconnect it. It again get reconnected automatically. Even if I remove all the known connection, it keeps popping up the select WLAN network page. I have no clue why is it happening? can anyone tell me what is the reason and hot to get rid of it.?

Feb 11, 2010recently i can't browse the web or use any free messaging apps such as nimbuzz on my nokia 5800 (fw version 21.0) finland made, but clearly indicates that it's connected to wlan...the ones i used before (in my home & @ my work).i noticed it started when i was waiting for a video in Internet to finish buffering, then halfway to it it suddenly went back to my main screen. when i tried again, same thing happens. then i try to log-in to facebook or any website... first it will give the impression that its connecting but then, juz a couple of seconds or less, it willl suddenly revert back to my phone home screen.this started a couple of weeks back, and now the bluetooth too is f***ed-up!because my laptop can't see it, while yesterday it can.it seems that mines the first one with this kind of problem bcoz i can't find any forum discussing this issue.

I have set up a WLAN that works fine with the SIM enabled so it seems as the settings are fine. Is there something special I have to do to enable the WLAN when there is no SIM in the phone?

Aug 27, 2010My blackberry is going at a snail's pace...no, make that an injured snail's pace! I am at a loss as to why. I have very few downloaded apps: one or two games and a couple of random apps. My actual harddrive space is fine (859MB total/846MB free), but it tells me I have 0.0kb of available application memory. However, I do not have ANYTHING running besides what always runs like "home screen" and "phone" and "browser"...you know, the stuff you can't remove from the Switch Application menu. And it will seem fine but when I do open a program, I get the hourglass every time I click something or scroll.
To give you an idea of how irritating this is, it took me over 20 seconds to unlock the keypad, and another 20-30 seconds before the hourglass went away and I could move my cursor (slowly) to the app I wanted to run. And heaven forbid I run 2 apps at once. Then I've had to wait over 5 minutes for hourglasses to go away. It wasn't always like this. I used to leave all my apps running. I never worried about whether I pressed the EndCall button or closed it from the menu. Could this be caused by one of my apps? If so, how do I find out which one? Ugh I'm so frustrated! If I needed to call 911, I would be dead before I got my keypad unlocked. I'm not exaggerating.

Mar 21, 2011My E7 ambient light sensor glows faint red when I try to connect a fring voice call (and the phone stops responding) or when certain apps (pocket lock) for instance is running. is there any issue with my phone? will the "Glow" burn my proximity sensor? is this an indication of any problem with the application. On previous symbian devices this was largely solved by freeing up some phone memory, is it the same on the n900? df -h / in x term says 71% free. or is this normal for the phone, given i flashed it recently and that apparently made no difference

I got a data usage warning message the next day, so I made sure it was still connected to wifi - then I got another warning message advising me more charges were being applied to the data plan. I called ATT and explained and was told that the 4GLTE runs all kinds of stuff in the background that uses data and to turn the data off. I did - since then, no more data usage - however - it will not stay connected to wifi after a time out unless it is plugged in. It still shows that its connected to wifi but its not.

2- Also installed nokia map loader version 3.0
Now all is fine. Isn't it? So they said first start nokia map application till it load completely then close it. I did. Then connect ur phone on PC SUIT MODE and also I did that. Then all I get on nokia map loader app is "Waiting for the phone" thats it and phone already connected I tried in both modes pc suit and mass storage but still the same "Waiting for the phone" and I am waiting too.

Apr 8, 2010How do you use the GPS under your WLAN? I got the GPS working once.used it and it was fine. But ever since then I haven't been able to get it to work. I have set my connection to 'online' and the Network destination to 'Internet' (VF Au Internet). When i try to use it all it says in the top right hand corner is connecting, but never connects. Other times it says sign in and I attempt to but says there is 'no connection'.Sometimes when i change some of these options to test it it freezes on me and sometimes resets itself.What settings are wrong or what am I doing wrong?
