my phone keeps saying application home screen [process.com.sonyericsson.homescreen] has stopped unexpectedly. please try again and asks to force close but wont close everything else is working perfect
I am using apple I5, with 7.1.2 software version. I am facing a problem while using my phone. i.e when i search a contact and click on the same , screen goes blank. I have to click on the center key to make it go normal.
Moreover , when i use facebook for sometime and scroll it twice or thrice, it gives force close and get to the home page. This has happened more than 5 times with me.
My Sony Ericsson W580i says "Another application is running. Close it, and then start the camera" when I try to use the camera. This started happening out of the blue and I have just used the update service and updated the phone software through my computer successfully but still get this message when I try to use the camera.
Mainly happens while on facebook mobile, and will occure while typing completely randomly. The reply from support is simply update software, I can't see why I have to do all this, as apart from anything else I don't currently have a phone line for internet due to illegal BT sales activity! It is also suggested that I send phone off in a jiffy bag to be repaired if unsuccessful, and what do I do for a phone in the mean time?? Not only that they suggest that it will cost me if it is not a fault they cover.
Just interested in knowing if there is an os for the 8900 between 4.6 and 5.0, if so how well does it function or how crappy is it. Reason for the question is one of my apps which allows me to do international calls really cheap is not supported on os 5.0, and will not be supported till like may or so they say. I guess I want to upgrade to as close to 5.0 as I can get so that my phone functions better.
I know sometimes I hit the end button instead of closing windows and that leaves them open. I know there's a way to find out what's open and close everything to make the phone less sluggish but I have no idea how to do it.
Since upgrading to ver 5 OS, my 8900 has been running very slow. Can't figure out if it's a memory issue (there's 24MB of main memory remaining...the storage card has 822MB remaining). It's starting to affect calls received - The ringer is very slow in starting....and my call goes into voicemail before I can answer it!
I'm trying to set up a yahoo email account on a Curve 8900 running OS 4, but when I go to Setup and Email Settings, all I get is the message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server". I'm based in Ireland and have eircom broadband. My wireless router is a Netopia with WEP encryption but no authentication (Open security).
I'm having a lot of trouble concerving battery life on my Curve 8330.I have done all the usual recommended things to save the battery life.I understand that one can do the ALT + ESC to view a list of open applications. However this can be cumbersome.
My questions specifically is...Does anyone know of any application or setting whereby applications might be automatically shut down when not in use, or when you navigate away without closing?Ideally this would be someting that would only affect apps that you defined as not necessary to be running all the time.
i turned on my blackberry and an application notification popped up it wont let me close it, i tried to turn it off several times and it still just uploaded that screen and wont let me exit it however the animated screen at the back is still moving?
I have an iphone 4s from Verizon and I am in Brazil with it. there are not Carrier settings to manually select a GSM carrier. My phone keeps searching for the Verizon network which is not goin gto be there.
I'm using Xperia ray since late September. Last few weeks, I upgraded my phone to Android 2.3.4 build 4.0.2 A.0.42 via Software Update service (Location: Thailand, if applicable) and installed the recent Facebook v 1.8.0 from the market. Now, I'm having a problem with Facebook application. It always shows "force close" for this application and it will automatically re-open the application. I find this error most of the time when update status, check-in places and upload photos. I can't capture screen because "Phone Options" dialog appears behind the 'force close' dialog.I try to remove facebook account from TimeScape and use Facebook for Android from the market instead but still not help. how to fix this.
What is the quickest way to force close an app? I use Groove music and I have to force close it from time to time. I used to be able to swipe down hold down Groove in notification window and click the i and then I have that option.
That doesn't work in the s6 it takes me to notification options.
It's aggravating having to go to settings then applications then find the app and so on and so on.
My phone today seems to be stuck in a force close loop. It pops up down the bottom of the phone in a black box 'forcing close of player' and 'closed?', every few seconds, exiting whatever app I am currently using. This only happens immediately after I turn the screen on, for about 20 seconds and then stops until I turn the screen off and then on again. I have not rooted the phone or done anything out of the ordinary. I did download a couple of apps from the play store and have since deleted them, but I still have the problem. I have read to clear the cache partition to fix this issue, but I believe it is in recovery mode which the Z3 does not have. I would prefer not to do a hard reset. Is this my only option?
I downloaded the new update 2 days ago. Since that time when i try to access the internet, after just several seconds, I get an error message :The application Browser (process com.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. " Then an option to force close.
A random message pops up just started popping up that says "The application AtCommandService (process com.motorola.process.system) has stopped unexpecteldly. Please try again." I have tried the standard turn the phone off and on again but to no success. This message randomly pops up whenever I am using my phone. I'm hesitant to do a factory reset because I do not want to lose all my data.
I am having a problem with the camera on my X10i, whenever I try to take a picture the phone freezes up and after about 20 seconds I get the message: "Sorry, Activity camera (in application camera) is not responding, then I get the option to force close or wait. Waiting doesn't work either.
my X10 Mini Pro. I have configured 2 Yahoo! accounts in my Default Email App. One works perfectly, but the other, whenever I select the Inbox, it just force closes all the time giving the below message: The application Email (process com.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. try again.
Why is this happening, as one account is perfectly working while the other is not? I have tried everything, from factory reset to repair.
On the most recent version of the google app i'm getting force closes when I do a "navigate" command for example "navigate home" if I uninstall updates this no longer happens. This command is working fine on my other devices.
Stock Rooted, Canadian S6 (non edge).... Flashed to stock and rerooted. Everything seems fine now.
I get a constant loop of error messages that tell me I need to Force Close. However I am unable to access any of the menus as the loop is continuous (as loops tend to be for any pedants out there!).
Unable to dial from contacts. As soon as any contact is selected "The application Contacts Storage (process com.motorola.contacts) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Android version 2.3.4, system version 4.5.91, USA AT&T, In my gallery, when I try to add a photo to an album the galler crashes and force closes. Currently there are no albums started. I have performed a factory reset with no success.
Does anyone else have a problem on their Photon with the newest version of Facebook force closing when attempting to use the 'Status' or 'Check In' buttons?
I have not been able to update my apps for 5 days now because I keep getting a force close. I have cleared every cache and history, restarted and rebooted 3 times and I still can't get my apps to update
From the home screen if you go to "All apps" (btw.... I have 6 and a half pages of apps) and go to the second page of apps and hit the "Search" button at the bottom right hand side of your Atrix 2, it will result in a Force Close of the (process com.motorola.home). I have restarted my phone multiple time and have also taken out the battery. I have 3.7GB of free space on my Internal storage.
I have a Xperia mini pro SK17i and i've been using it for about 5 months now.. sometimes when i slide out the keyboard, the unit restarts.. and sometimes when playing music or when it's in my pocket it restarts.. i dont know why.. i message alot and i have about 5000 texts under one number.. whenever i want to send a message to that number i have to wait about 45 seconds for the conversation to load.. and while typing the wait/force close popup comes for messaging.. this is very annoying.. sometimes when in a hurry it restarts or messaging section freezes.. i've updated this to the latest firmware (4.0.2.A.0.62) and i did a full flash using SEUS about 3 months back.. but the problem still exists
My SII appears to have some kind of virus - I am getting a continuous loop of Force Close messages. Kies will not connect to the phone, it is running to the most up to date version. My phone is currently on Android Version 2.3.3 and on Gingerbread.because it cannot connect to Kies, I cannot run a back up. All my photos and videos are on the phone. I have a 3 month old baby and am desperate to save these. As I cannot back up I am reluctant to perform a factory reset as I am conscious I will lose all the data stored. It randomly turns itself on and off. The error messages come thick and fast - I don't even need to 'force Close' they pop up on their own and a constant stream of them will occur. Examples of the error messages are as follows:
Sorry! Twlauncher (process com.sec.android.app.twlauncher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close.
Sorry! The application Email (process com.sec.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close.
