The phone makes annoying warning sound / warning tone every now and then, apparently due to 3G / gprs connection background status changes (lost / got connection / put connection on hold / whatever). It is definitely not due to incoming sms message or alarm clock etc. This kind of semi random noise especially as it can happen during the night for no apparent reason.

But my phone memory has 50.1 MB free space and My memory card has 1.2 GB memory space.

All the cell phones I had in the past gave same kind of sound warning that the battery was running low, but not Nokia 5230. Today, I overslept again, because the battery died during the night and the alarm won't work on a dead battery.Is there a way to activate some kind of sound warning? Or where can I check the battery status? Couldn't find that either.

View 5 Replies View RelatedEverything works ok except the built in camera !It is a very strange and unusual behavior , it is not broken but it works at totally random times !i tried everything i could but i did not succeed in finding a right pattern that makes it working all the time.I just have to turn the phone on and off all the time and HOPE that it will work.
It was like this since the beginning but i tought that a new OS update would have fix this problem , unfortunately after the latest OS updates (just done it last week) nothing has changed , The camera just works when it wants to at random times !it has 2 way of acting either i see the red circle on top for few sec and nothing happen
but the camera is active in the task manager .. but i cant kill it (the exit camera has no effect at all !) or it just works straight away ! very werid !What do u suggest that i should do ? I played hearthstone and other graphic intensive games and my cpu temp spikes up to 75c then goes back to 60c+ (using Cpu Temperature Pure). I started using the app when I felt that the device is getting hot. I am a noob at all of this and I want to know is the app giving me the right numbers? Any other way that I can check if my device is having hardware problems?

I understand the warning is for safety , but the Bluetooth is really quiet for some reason in my truck compared to my previous phones. When turning off mobile data, each time I get a warning that reads "Unless you use Wi-Fi, you will no longer be able to use the Internet, Email or other apps that require a data connection."
I turn mobile data off and on frequently throughout the day. This message has become gradually more annoying. I think it is bad UX and at the very least, there should be a way to disable it.

Had this same problem on the S4. Whenever I open the Google Music app, for example, and then turn up the volume using the volume rocker, that annoying warning that says "Listening at high volume can cause hearing damage..." or whatever pops up, and you have to hit OK to dismiss it. On the S5 that warning even seems to pop up more often. I never figured out how to disable it on my S4, which was running an older version of Android, nor do I know how to disable it on my S5 running Kit Kat 4.2.2.

The problem that I have is that the audio is too quiet when using the bluetooth in my car, so every time I have to reboot my phone I have to increase the volume, skip past the warning and then raise the volume.
This happens when I try and raise the volume with either Google Music or Dogg Catcher.
The problem is that due to my work, I have to keep my phone off so I go through this at least twice a day.

It had issues after the update, but i formatted the whole device (first the memory card, second the mass memory, and third the c: ) and it seems to be workin a lot better. However, the inbuilt themes look dull. I went to www.mibile9.com and downloaded a couple of s60v5 themes. While installing, i get a warning, 'application is incompatible with this device. Continue anyway?' would it be safe to install these? I know they're not viruses because a friend installed them on his 5800XM with no problems. I'm wonderin if installing an 'incompatible' theme would make my N97 suck again. I've got another question. As far as i know, the 5800XM and the N97 use the same OS. The themes installed fine on my friend's XM, with no warnings (other than application is untrusted). Why am i receivin the incompatible warning on the N97 then? Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and the world laughs louder :-)

I also have a ring tone that I downloaded (not the default).I noticed that when the phone is in the holster and it rings, as soon as I take it out from the holster the ring tonne changes from the one I set up to the default AT&T ring tone.
I have downloaded, installed and successfully signed some applications, but for some reason if I try to install any application it gets cut off. I mean that the installation process runs smoothly but then when I select "yes" to the security warning the installation closes. That's it. No warning or error display, it just closes.

How do I change the email tone to a custom tone?
My phone is constantly putting o's into every word, and often just straight up barely types. It also is continuously calling numbers even after I've deleted them from my phone.
I called Bell and they had me wipe my phone and that didn't do anything, so I upgraded the software which also did nothing.
NM on my E72 stopped today. The password is wrong, eventhough it is definitely the correct password. Other weird thing, the usernames somehow got mixed around between the 2 email addresses I have signed up. It worked just fine until about midday.
Tonight, I went to the NM website on my PC to see what is going wrong.I'm getting a warning about a wrong security certificate.Does everybody get this? I've never gotten it before, but it's been ages since I visited the NM web site.
I have a Lumia 1020 for about 11 months now and today it stopped charging. If I try to turn on the phone, I can see the low battery indicator. Then the phone will proceed to turn off after a few seconds. I have tried a soft reset by holding down power and volume down at the same time. I can feel a small vibration after 6 seconds of doing this, but otherwise nothing happens. I have tried 2 different chargers, as well as connecting to the USB in the computer.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using PC Sync for a long while now, and had no problems so far But since about two weeks ago, the entries that have been entered / modified in Microsoft Outlook, are not synced into my phone at all. PC Sync tells a warning message about these events and contacts, says it could not insert entries into the mobile phone. All the entries that have been entered / changed on my phone, are succesfully synced into my Outlook. I did not change / install anything so I do not know why did this issue started about two weeks ago.

This is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email.
And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.
I've recently bought a Nokia 700 and for few days I'm experiencing this weird problem.Every single connection drops (3G, Wi-Fi and USB. Haven't tested NFC yet) at random times and I can't reconnect. It always says after that it can't connect and the connections are unavailable.After turning the phone off and then on again, everything is back to normal. I can normally connect to the 3G connection, Wi-Fi and USB.It's pretty annoying as I always have to restart my phone in order to connect via USB or to the Internet when it happens.Anyone else who is experiencing the same problem or has any solutions to this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy E72 suddenly does not vibrate or gives out a tone upon receiving a SMS.I checked the profile I used and the vibration and message tone were checked.I tried restoring the phone to factory settings but the problem still persist.Not sure where the problem lies though. When people call me, my phone does vibrate and the ring tone plays.but if I remember correctly, the notification light may or may not work at times when receiving an sms and the screen does not lit up upon receiving it too (if I'm correct, not sure now since I didn't notice when the problem occurs). This only applies when receiving SMSes.
