Dec 22, 2012I just bought Lumia 710 and I don't understand why isn't there an option to close an app and why do I have to press the back button as many times as needed to close an app. Are you planning to create this option with the 7.8 update?
Otherwise, together with the miserable battery performance, I'm thinking on returning this phone.

1) Is there any way to change the default web browser (from the built-in one to Opera mini, for example)? You get no options when you to the Settings items.
2) Is there any way to save web pages to a file, for example airline mobile boarding passes or train tickets?

Feb 1, 2010Is there any way of saving web pages to a file on the N97?Most browsers that I know have this functionality, but not the Nokia browser. I installed the Opera browser, which allows you to do this, but as it's impossible to change the default web browser on the N97, you can't use it to open links in messages.Saving as a bookmark isn't any good, as that only saves the URL, not the page.

Mar 25, 2010Not sure why, my N900 seems to be pretty slow in opening up web pages. The home screen says that I am on 3.5G. At times the page wouldn't even get loaded (white screen or connection error).To test if it is due to bad coverage, I pull out the SIM card and put it back to my N97. And the web pages seem to load a lot faster (and smoother). This is strange. Is there some settings I need to fiddle with? I have tried changing the memory cache size from 5MB up but the improvement does not seem to be consistant. Now, I set the cache to auto.

Some pages always load fine such as wikipedia however others such as facebook just don't load at all. Jun 19, 2010Sometimes when I'm web browsing clicking some links suddenly won;t work. They'll show selected but won't actually link, even links I have previously selected, so I know they're good links. Closing the browser down & reopening fixes it. I haven't managed to suss a pattern to it yet so am a bit confused. Any ideas please because it's getting really annoying?

Nov 26, 2012Wheni connect to WIFI to browse the inrenet, it works fine, and always has done. But when i use the browser and my network settings to connect, it is fine but only for a few days or a week. Now and again i get a problem where the browser wont display anyweb pages! All the settings are in correctly, and nothing gets adjusted, i even get the Hor 3G symbol to show me that i am actually infact connected to the internet, but a blank page just keeps coming up saying Try refreshing the browser or try again later.. This has happened to me twice now, and the only way of fixing theproblem is by reseting factory settings which is very annoying! ive tried deleting browsing history,and tried other websites to access too but nothing seems to work. Is this a fault, well i guess it must be but has anyone else had the same problem? wouldreally like to know as imreally thinking about selling this phone if it continues to play up..........

Apr 16, 2010I have am x6, and in the main am happy with it. However as previous owner of 3 diff n series, there are a couple of usability issues that drive me up the wall! For instance, i came to rely on the 'menu plus c' shortcut to quickly close apps. But no matter where i look, i haven't found a similar shortcut on the x6. Which means closing apps can only be done by going back in and doing it manually from within the app. Annoying and slow Is it me, or has that kind of shortcut been removed? Can anyone help? Feb 18, 2010I am getting this error on a daily basis since the f/w update to V21.When I get the error I check available memory via taskman and I usually have 40+MB in my RAM available.Even when I close all apps and have 55mb free I get the error.To add to this, it usually happens when I charge the phone overnight. In the morning the screen lock vibration feature dissapears and soon thereafter I start getting the memory full error.
