View 6 RepliesOn nokia E55 i get once a day this error:
Contacts: Memory Full! Close some applications and try again.
My firmware version is 022.009.c00.1
This is a new phone and i have not installed any additional apllications. Also if i got this error i checked i don't have any running applications.
I am getting this error on a daily basis since the f/w update to V21.When I get the error I check available memory via taskman and I usually have 40+MB in my RAM available.Even when I close all apps and have 55mb free I get the error. To add to this, it usually happens when I charge the phone overnight. In the morning the screen lock vibration feature dissapears and soon thereafter I start getting the memory full error.
View 22 Replies View RelatedJust got myself a new N97mini and still trying to work around it. I noticed that it's a bit slow not very quick compared to my old 6500 slide. I know that it's got heaps more on it. I’ve noticed that when I open applications such as log, contacts, etc. If I am to go and open for e.g.: phone setup a message appears "memory full, close down some applications”. I then go to options in the menu screen and close down the open applications. Firstly why they are there, when they are no longer open and also how do I stop doing what it's doing? How do I turn it off, if I can?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm on a 5800 and I'm currently on firmware v40. Ever since I've upgraded, my mobile browsing experience has suffered. Sometimes when I'm surfing the net, a message will appear on the lines of "Memory Full: Please close some applications." This occurs even when the browser (usually Opera Mobile, but it happens on Symbian just as often) is the only app open and used to occur only on CNN but now it has started occurring elsewhere. Also, since I've updated to v40, I have been unable to open a second tab without crashing the browser. Has anyone else had this problem? What was your fix?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThere is a problem occurring in my Nokia c6 again and again. Instead, I got the change headset but again it giving same problem of "Memory Full Close Some Applications". Its coming again and again when I am opening the photos. When I asked in the Nokia Care about it then they said that its a company's fault in Nokia C6 or it will get solved when there will be a software update.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt happens all the time even if nokia map is the only app running I think the reason is my phone memory is almost full there is less than 1 mb left and I cant find any thing to delete via phone manager in the phone memory either empty folders or folders which have only hundreds of bytes, when I check the phone memory it says 85 mb used 36 mb sis apps and 48 mb other files and I cant find any of them. Btw I am afraid to delete some of these files cause they may be system apps
View 4 Replies View RelatedBought a E72 form ebay few months back.Immediately updated it.Now the only software i ever have open on it (running always) is whatsapp.I am CONSTANTLY getting error messages saying 'Memory Full close some appliations'I was using whatsapp on my E63 which is supposed to be lower spec than an E72 and NEVER had these issues with my E63.Have read a few topics on here regarding this and have downloaded a software called NetQin which has told me that RAM: Memory is 112/199 literally within 20 seconds after starting up the phone. It says the only startup item is whatsapp. Which is all i have running currently.I do have the latest mapping ovi software on here which is only run when i choose to run it.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have had a Nokia 6120 for some time now and it has never given me any trouble.Until about a month ago it just stopped sending messages,It would say "General: Memory full, close some applications and try again" I have tried everything I can ever think of for a whole month and nothing seemed to work so I thought I might have a look on here.
Here's an update to the problem:
I was able to track down the problem to the settings by backing up the entire phone, doing a factory reset (*#7370# with lock code 12345), then reloading the sections one at a time to see which one screwed it up. Whenever I loaded settings, the problem seemed to return. So there you have it.Make a backup and reload everything except settings if you want this problem to go away. Or write angry letters to Nokia to get them to put out higher quality software for an $800-$1000 smart. This is by far the most frustrating problem I've had with a cell phone, and there's no reason a stupid bug like this should exist on so many handsets (not just E90, it seems to be a problem on the E71 and several other phones) for so long.
C'mon Nokia!
The thing is, I'm not a real technology geek and I have no idea what this means I have restored all factory settings with the lock code 12345 but that didn't change any affect to my problem so what does this post mean I have to do?
My n97 mini tells me that the memory is full close some applications , but I don't have any applications open. There appears to be loads of space on the phone memory when connected to Nokia suite. Also handset powers off periodically even when it has plenty charge.

I am having issues trying to backup my phone to the mini-SD card. Whenever I try to backup the phone, during the 'Preparing backup' stage I get the message:
File Manager : Memory Full. Close some applications and try again
I have uninstalled any unnecessary apps from the C: drive and cleared out unwanted files . This is how much memory I have available:
RAM : 51mb / 120mb
C: 41mb/86mb
D: 51mb/43mb
E: 5869mb/ 7596mb
I have recently carried out a hard reset on the handset and upgraded the software, so this is not the solution. This was a problem before doing this and remains an issue now. I know that I can backup the phone on my PC but I would like to resolve this so I can backup the phone on the fly.
updated with the last software, and I'm having a lot of troubles in it, since I buy itbefore updating, the phone used to:-when I turn the Bluetooth on, no device can discover me( available is on)< until I switch the phone off and then on- when I used to search for available networks, it gives system error- and the still problem: General/ memory full please close some applicationsafter updating the software the first 2 problems disappeared but the 3rd became worseIt uses to appear every time I capture a (panorama mode) picture, and when I use the internet. And when I open more than 4 applications at oncebecause I'm about to smash the phoneThe phone is Finland make< and I was surprised for this, I think the best phone I ever had was the N95 8GB. This phone used to run 80 applications at once

View 4 Replies View Relatedmy e63 keeps showing the error message 'phone memory full'.file manager says that 119mb are in use, but i can't 'see' the files that are taking up all this space.i've deleted surplus applications like Internet - but could someone possibly suggest how to free up more space? i don't think it's being taken up by emails or text messages (121kb) either.i would prefer not to format the memory, just delete whatever is taking up the 119mb.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy n97 is showing that the phone memory is almost full. Of the 73MB available, I have 9MB free. I've gone into everything on the memory and plugged it into computer and can't see anything that takes up anywhere near that amount of space.I have updated to firmware 20.0.019 after it was eventually released for my code and it made sweet F A difference, even though it's supposed to free up memory. If anyone knows anything about how to sort this please let me know, as it's starting to **bleep** me off by making videos jump and i can't update other things like ovi maps because "memory is full".
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo ive had my Nokia for a few months now, no problems all going fine. Untill recently I tried to uninstall Fring from my phone and it didnt work. So i connected it via usb and then deleted it via my PC. Then a system error message started coming up and I ignored it at first. However my friends were saying they were not recieving some of my calls and texts. So i looked at other forum posts and people reccomened to update the firmware so i did that and now my phone is in major problems. It keeps saying memory full and when i try to access the memory part to clear some stuff it just restarts. sometimes it says vcommand something and restarts but usually it just says memory full and restarts. Its really bugging me and Im considering selling it and buying a Blackberry becaue it is really anoying. Is there anything i can do to solve this or am i screwed?
