i am using nokia x6 00. When ever i try to open any application i get error. Memory full. Close some applications and try again. I have given my phone many times to to nokia care to get the software re installed. But no use. I do not have any ohter application installed other than maps and watsapp

This is a new phone and i have not installed any additional apllications. Also if i got this error i checked i don't have any running applications.
I am getting this error on a daily basis since the f/w update to V21.When I get the error I check available memory via taskman and I usually have 40+MB in my RAM available.Even when I close all apps and have 55mb free I get the error.To add to this, it usually happens when I charge the phone overnight. In the morning the screen lock vibration feature dissapears and soon thereafter I start getting the memory full error.
View 22 Replies View RelatedI'm on a 5800 and I'm currently on firmware v40. Ever since I've upgraded, my mobile browsing experience has suffered. Sometimes when I'm surfing the net, a message will appear on the lines of "Memory Full: Please close some applications." This occurs even when the browser (usually Opera Mobile, but it happens on Symbian just as often) is the only app open and used to occur only on CNN but now it has started occurring elsewhere. Also, since I've updated to v40, I have been unable to open a second tab without crashing the browser. Has anyone else had this problem? What was your fix?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have had a Nokia 6120 for some time now and it has never given me any trouble.Until about a month ago it just stopped sending messages,It would say "General: Memory full, close some applications and try again" I have tried everything I can ever think of for a whole month and nothing seemed to work so I thought I might have a look on here.
Here's an update to the problem:
I was able to track down the problem to the settings by backing up the entire phone, doing a factory reset (*#7370# with lock code 12345), then reloading the sections one at a time to see which one screwed it up. Whenever I loaded settings, the problem seemed to return.So there you have it.Make a backup and reload everything except settings if you want this problem to go away. Or write angry letters to Nokia to get them to put out higher quality software for an $800-$1000 smart.This is by far the most frustrating problem I've had with a cell phone, and there's no reason a stupid bug like this should exist on so many handsets (not just E90, it seems to be a problem on the E71 and several other phones) for so long.

The thing is, I'm not a real technology geek and I have no idea what this means I have restored all factory settings with the lock code 12345 but that didn't change any affect to my problem so what does this post mean I have to do?
My n97 mini tells me that the memory is full close some applications , but I don't have any applications open. There appears to be loads of space on the phone memory when connected to Nokia suite.Also handset powers off periodically even when it has plenty charge.

I know that it's got heaps more on it. I’ve noticed that when I open applications such as log, contacts, etc. If I am to go and open for e.g.: phone setup a message appears "memory full, close down some applications”. View 2 Replies View RelatedIt happens all the time even if nokia map is the only app running I think the reason is my phone memory is almost full there is less than 1 mb left and I cant find any thing to delete via phone manager in the phone memory either empty folders or folders which have only hundreds of bytes, when I check the phone memory it says 85 mb used 36 mb sis apps and 48 mb other files and I cant find any of them. I am having issues trying to backup my phone to the mini-SD card. Whenever I try to backup the phone, during the 'Preparing backup' stage I get the message:
File Manager : Memory Full. Close some applications and try again
I have uninstalled any unnecessary apps from the C: drive and cleared out unwanted files . This is how much memory I have available:
RAM : 51mb / 120mb
C: 41mb/86mb
D: 51mb/43mb
E: 5869mb/ 7596mb
I have recently carried out a hard reset on the handset and upgraded the software, so this is not the solution. This was a problem before doing this and remains an issue now. I know that I can backup the phone on my PC but I would like to resolve this so I can backup the phone on the fly.
In order to save battery I attempt to close all unneeded applications. Under Options|Show open apps. I see an question mark icon for an open application. When I close this application it momentarily disappears from the list the next time, however, when I select ptions|Show open apps. it is there again. How can I forcibly close an ill-behaving application? Very excited about the N97 mini

When I run the application, it takes me to the screen where you have to type in your e-mail and password. After typing in my e-mail, when I activate the password field the application freezes for a split-second and then closes spontaneously, with no error message or anything else.I already tried reinstalling the latest software version and reinstalling the application, to no success. I also tried typing in the password before the e-mail, but the same thing happens.I do not want to use those other applications that manage your social networks, I want to be able to use the official facebook application offered by Nokia's official store on my phone which cost me a lot of money and should be able to do these things.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwe are living in the times when internet is in our pockets. yet we have a crippled web browsing experience. without full flash support, we are unable to do most of the work, communication, information gathering, nor enjoying entertainment sites.in the modern days of internet where speed is the most important issue, website developers just can't deal with mobile versions of websites. not even the biggest sites, like cnn have a capable and usable mobile site.
yet, our mobile phones, such as nokia 5800 (and also the rest of the communicator-like phones) with a serious browsing capability is discriminated because the websites recognize them as "mobile" phones. most of the time you're not even able to browse the "normal" website and get the same experience to move around and even see the same information on your mobile phone.
i'm also experiencing browser application issues. freezes, hungs, because the site cannot coop with the disabled flash light. it starts to load the data, you able to see the flash box and then the browser just stops working. after a long time of exercise on different sites, such as Internet i'm convinced that flash 10 even bring our browser to its knees. the new flash 10 videos totally killing the browser on my nokia phone. and this is not firmware, not memory nor website related problems. it's incompatibility where the site and the browser just unable to coop.time to fix and update browsers in nokia smart phones including 5800!
get rid of discriminating our mobile devices as a"crippled" internet browser and give us the full web-experience.i was a faithfull nokia owner in the past 10 years (!!!!). i spent a lot of money on my phones. i always bought them even with limited information on the capabilities because i was trustful about the quality and feature-rich products. however if this issue will not be fixed on this particular phone because of whatever reason, be it as technical issue (the phone is not prepared for such internet experience), or be it as a way of lacking in development (never ment to handle such internet experience at all) then i have to leave nokia for good.
this is not "silly warning" or an angry and frustrating finger pointing. it just the fact that if nokia forcing me to swap phone, then i cannot trust a company with such business decisions to limit the timespan of their phone in such a way, that would generate more money for them. if this is not the case and we able to finally use our phone as it should work since the beginning then we will be the happiest buyers and supporters on earth.
i'm also trying to send this to the customer support in the good hope that finally we will see some advancement on this topic. i think we, the users, were quiet patient up until now (a year or so passed and still no sollution on this).
