Nokia Nseries :: N97 Mini - Memory Full Close Some Applications
Jun 22, 2012
My n97 mini tells me that the memory is full close some applications , but I don't have any applications open. There appears to be loads of space on the phone memory when connected to Nokia suite. Also handset powers off periodically even when it has plenty charge.
Bought a E72 form ebay few months back.Immediately updated it.Now the only software i ever have open on it (running always) is whatsapp.I am CONSTANTLY getting error messages saying 'Memory Full close some appliations'I was using whatsapp on my E63 which is supposed to be lower spec than an E72 and NEVER had these issues with my E63.Have read a few topics on here regarding this and have downloaded a software called NetQin which has told me that RAM: Memory is 112/199 literally within 20 seconds after starting up the phone. It says the only startup item is whatsapp. Which is all i have running currently.I do have the latest mapping ovi software on here which is only run when i choose to run it.
I am getting this error on a daily basis since the f/w update to V21.When I get the error I check available memory via taskman and I usually have 40+MB in my RAM available.Even when I close all apps and have 55mb free I get the error. To add to this, it usually happens when I charge the phone overnight. In the morning the screen lock vibration feature dissapears and soon thereafter I start getting the memory full error.
I'm on a 5800 and I'm currently on firmware v40. Ever since I've upgraded, my mobile browsing experience has suffered. Sometimes when I'm surfing the net, a message will appear on the lines of "Memory Full: Please close some applications." This occurs even when the browser (usually Opera Mobile, but it happens on Symbian just as often) is the only app open and used to occur only on CNN but now it has started occurring elsewhere. Also, since I've updated to v40, I have been unable to open a second tab without crashing the browser. Has anyone else had this problem? What was your fix?
There is a problem occurring in my Nokia c6 again and again. Instead, I got the change headset but again it giving same problem of "Memory Full Close Some Applications". Its coming again and again when I am opening the photos. When I asked in the Nokia Care about it then they said that its a company's fault in Nokia C6 or it will get solved when there will be a software update.
I have had a Nokia 6120 for some time now and it has never given me any trouble.Until about a month ago it just stopped sending messages,It would say "General: Memory full, close some applications and try again" I have tried everything I can ever think of for a whole month and nothing seemed to work so I thought I might have a look on here.
Here's an update to the problem:
I was able to track down the problem to the settings by backing up the entire phone, doing a factory reset (*#7370# with lock code 12345), then reloading the sections one at a time to see which one screwed it up. Whenever I loaded settings, the problem seemed to return. So there you have it.Make a backup and reload everything except settings if you want this problem to go away. Or write angry letters to Nokia to get them to put out higher quality software for an $800-$1000 smart. This is by far the most frustrating problem I've had with a cell phone, and there's no reason a stupid bug like this should exist on so many handsets (not just E90, it seems to be a problem on the E71 and several other phones) for so long.
C'mon Nokia!
The thing is, I'm not a real technology geek and I have no idea what this means I have restored all factory settings with the lock code 12345 but that didn't change any affect to my problem so what does this post mean I have to do?
Just got myself a new N97mini and still trying to work around it. I noticed that it's a bit slow not very quick compared to my old 6500 slide. I know that it's got heaps more on it. I’ve noticed that when I open applications such as log, contacts, etc. If I am to go and open for e.g.: phone setup a message appears "memory full, close down some applications”. I then go to options in the menu screen and close down the open applications. Firstly why they are there, when they are no longer open and also how do I stop doing what it's doing? How do I turn it off, if I can?
It happens all the time even if nokia map is the only app running I think the reason is my phone memory is almost full there is less than 1 mb left and I cant find any thing to delete via phone manager in the phone memory either empty folders or folders which have only hundreds of bytes, when I check the phone memory it says 85 mb used 36 mb sis apps and 48 mb other files and I cant find any of them. Btw I am afraid to delete some of these files cause they may be system apps
1) I am unable to either open the message section, forget reading or sending messages and it shows he error which says "Messaging Memory full. Close some applications and try again" I have tried every possible way i guess. Have deleted all my messages from the cell( Sim, Memory card and from phone memory as well), but no result.. Still unable to send messages. I tried restarting my cell phone, Closed all applications, infact uninstalled many, Formatted memory card and everything.
2) The message tone in my cell doesnt work. Also it doesnt vibrate when any sms comes. Dont know why it has happened like that. Its ongoing since about 6 months now Nothing has worked for both the problems.
i am using nokia x6 00. When ever i try to open any application i get error. Memory full. Close some applications and try again. I have given my phone many times to to nokia care to get the software re installed. But no use. I do not have any ohter application installed other than maps and watsapp
I am having issues trying to backup my phone to the mini-SD card. Whenever I try to backup the phone, during the 'Preparing backup' stage I get the message:
File Manager : Memory Full. Close some applications and try again
I have uninstalled any unnecessary apps from the C: drive and cleared out unwanted files . This is how much memory I have available:
RAM : 51mb / 120mb
C: 41mb/86mb
D: 51mb/43mb
E: 5869mb/ 7596mb
I have recently carried out a hard reset on the handset and upgraded the software, so this is not the solution. This was a problem before doing this and remains an issue now. I know that I can backup the phone on my PC but I would like to resolve this so I can backup the phone on the fly.
When I open some applications on my Nokia X3, I get a message that there is not enough memory available, and to select an application to close. Is there a way I can see which applications are open? I'd like to close any application that was not required.
wifi signal lost once trying to connect ovi store.despite having wifi connected, ovi still say "no mobile data" connection. few sec later wifi disconnected.how to close in one step all open applications
I am getting memory full error while playing movie..... it plays for abt 5 minutes & then the error message pops up and the application shuts down.....I have checked C:, D: & E: & they have enough free space
I have a Nokia Nuron and it will not allow me to do anything. Everytime I click something, anything, it says that the memory is full. I can't reset my phone because I can't open the settings. I do not know how to reset the phone, because it is not working when I do it. I don't have any apps on my phone, no messages, and only 20 contacts. I just really need my phone to work again.
My N97 seems to have full on board memory. As shown by the pictures there are three memory areas, the first being phone memory which is shown as almost full. 2nd is the expanded memory which is in the phone and is almost empty. The third is a mini SD card that I had from my old phone.
All my outook synced information is probably in the onboard memory area. My first thought is that maybe my 44 MB PST file was hogging up the phone memory so I took the sync calendar setting and went from 2 weeks before to 1 week before and from 6 months out to 3 months out. That change did not make any difference in my onboard memory consumption.
Every application I installed went into expanded memory. The camera puts videos and images in the image and video folder in the expanded memory area. All the extra pdf and image files that I transfered to my phone go on the mini SD.So I can't quite figure out why my memory usage is so high in the phone memory.
I have 5530 Xpress music after inserting my memory card and sim it now constantly has a flashing text envelope symbol (as though a text has arrived) and it says "SIM memory full", Tried rebooting it etc.
Really working nokia giving a very worst experience.i can't use ovi, when am moving to more pages its giving error messages.memory close some application, and when try to open a web page more than 600 kb,same exception is giving.i lost hope on nokia lost..waste of amount.
Just bought nokia N97 mini. Memory always full eventhough I do not open any application, touch screen freezes? already updated all needed to update. but phone still the same. Can anyone help?
Ive recently got a n97 mini, and have transferred my sim and memory from my old phone. In the top right corner, the envelope symbol (usually used when you have a message) is flashing. When I click on it, it says 'SIM memory full'.
I wonder why my phone memory is almost full all the time. I dont have anythin on that memory, all applications are in mass memory and all pics and wids. I have tried to move data to mass memory but i have already moved all that i can and i still have only 7MB free space in phone memory. I cant even install new ovi store to my phone because I just dont have enough space. and I dont understand why it tryes to installa it to c: drive enethough my settings in ovi store tells it to install all things to mass drive.
I have the problem that when I select a phone number in the log application I get a message that the memory is full. This makes it impossible to access the menus and sometimes to exit the log app itself. I can however see that there's 53 MB free RAM and 25 MB free space on C, with an application called Y-tasks. Also, no other application has memory problems. It seems to me to be a bug in the log application
Since updating to Belle I've been receiving a lot of "memory full" messages in a variety of applications, often with barely anything else running on the phone.'ve done a fair bit of testing to try to narrow down the culprit but I'm coming around to the conclusion that it's Belle, not the apps.
I have this phone for only 2 days, Installed 3 free small aplications and suddenly I can't connect to bluetooth and I can't get into my email. A few minutes later I can't even open the menu anymore. Keeps on giving a 'memory is full' message..
the phone can't be full.. with just 3 little applications that i installed. Can anyone help me?
Nokia 808 PureView Memory Error !So i bought my new nokia 808 and i made some photos put some songs in it and everything was going fine.Today in morning when i was shoting a photo and whent to edit it appeared this message :" Memory is full. Please delete some data first and then try again"So i opened "Files" to see my memory status.
My C: memory is showing as full when I try to clear it through the phone file manager despite looking through all folders I cannot identify any large files on it and the same is the case when I try to look through my pc software.
When I hold on the C: memory and look at the memory details it shows 131mb of messages even though I have deleted all txt messages and emails, 46mb of SIS applications I can't see these in the file manager and 72mb of other files which I assume are the OS files.
