Is there any way of saving web pages to a file on the N97?Most browsers that I know have this functionality, but not the Nokia browser. I installed the Opera browser, which allows you to do this, but as it's impossible to change the default web browser on the N97, you can't use it to open links in messages.Saving as a bookmark isn't any good, as that only saves the URL, not the page.

1) Is there any way to change the default web browser (from the built-in one to Opera mini, for example)? You get no options when you to the Settings items.
2) Is there any way to save web pages to a file, for example airline mobile boarding passes or train tickets?
Running v 5.0 in my s.5. Android stopped saving my open tabs so when I open Chrome, I get the google home page instead of my last open tabs. I have a lower android version in my tablet and it still holds my last pages so I suspect this is an upgrade "improvement". The tabs do remain in my history but that means going to my history and opening from there. I wonder is there any way around this - I use specific pages every time I open and this is adding unnecessary steps.

Does anyone know, with stock apps only, is it possible to save a data file to to the homescreen for quick reference? At minimum, I would like a shortcut to the sepecific data file. Example; I use a simple Microsoft word calendar template to do scheduling for the month. I email the file to myself and save it to the messaging folder. Everytime I need to check who is working, etc....I have to go through the "My Files" shortcut, messaging, then the file I need. Would like to just save the data file or a direct link to it on my homescreen very similar to (gulp) windows.

I am not able to receive any file via Bluetooth if that file is not openable by Nokia. ie., if I receive a jpg or mp3 file, it receives fine, and when I open it from Messages, it tries to open it, and then I save it from the Message to the Gallery.But when I try to receive some other type of files which is not supported by the mobile, it receives the message, but it fails to open the bluetooth message and as a result, I am not able to save it to the Mass Memory. View 5 Replies View RelatedNot sure why, my N900 seems to be pretty slow in opening up web pages. The home screen says that I am on 3.5G. At times the page wouldn't even get loaded (white screen or connection error).To test if it is due to bad coverage, I pull out the SIM card and put it back to my N97. And the web pages seem to load a lot faster (and smoother). This is strange. Is there some settings I need to fiddle with? I have tried changing the memory cache size from 5MB up but the improvement does not seem to be consistant. Now, I set the cache to auto.

Some pages always load fine such as wikipedia however others such as facebook just don't load at all. They'll show selected but won't actually link, even links I have previously selected, so I know they're good links. Closing the browser down & reopening fixes it. But when i use the browser and my network settings to connect, it is fine but only for a few days or a week. Now and again i get a problem where the browser wont display anyweb pages! All the settings are in correctly, and nothing gets adjusted, i even get the Hor 3G symbol to show me that i am actually infact connected to the internet, but a blank page just keeps coming up saying Try refreshing the browser or try again later.. This has happened to me twice now, and the only way of fixing theproblem is by reseting factory settings which is very annoying! ive tried deleting browsing history,and tried other websites to access too but nothing seems to work.
