Oct 11, 2011I bought a new C3-00 mobile with a new data cable. I installed the latest PC suite and tried to connect the phone with my PC. however, the mobile is not detected.

Oct 6, 2011im having problem on my phone since it freezed, automatically restarted and restored to factory setting erasing all of my personal data like contacts, Mgs, dowloaded games, etc. and some of the applications are in error / Missing(Ovi Store, Communities) i tried to reinstall the software update on ovi suite but my phone cannot be detected in Ovi Suite but can be detected in Mass Storage mode.. weird coz i think my USB cable is working fine..i tried to restore factory settings again but its not helping.

Jul 16, 2010I downloaded the PC suite from the Vivaz via the memory card and USB cable (as prompted by the program). I subsequently downloaded it from the website various times. I'm asked by PC suite to connect first the USB followed by the phone. The program momentarily detects the phone and then proudly announces that the PC suite is unable to detect the phone. Please go back to start or troubleshooting. Which I have done many times, to no avail! I've tried everything! The computer can detect the phone as storage device but the PC suite finds nothing.

Jun 18, 2010I used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)

Apr 6, 2010How can I make my nokia E71 sync back with PC Suite after I started using OVI Suite? I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.

Apr 15, 2010Have a N900. Got the phone to work against Smart Suite and later Ovis Suite very well for the first 3 weeks. Then the trouble started. I used it both with USB cable and BTooth. First my synchronization with Lotus Notes calendar stopped (have to go by the PC), then contacts and messages. And today it does not even recognize the phone as a compatible phone. In the whole period I have been installing all kind of applications. My suspicion is that the trouble is due to an installation of a particular application - my question is:Anyone that got an idea what might have caused this?? Hope for help without re-intsalling the machine.

May 1, 2010I have a Nokia E72 which was working perfectly until about a month and a half back. I might have deleted some important file on my phone, but I don't remember doing so. Anyways, now, in PC Suite mode, the computer doesn't detect my cellphone and still waits for a cellphone to be connected. This is on both Mac and PC. For Nokia Map Loader (Mac and PC) and Ovi Suite and for Nokia Media Transfer (Mac).
iSync still works as do the other modes (mass media transfer and the other ones). I've hard reset my phone. Uninstalled and re-installed all the application on the computer related to this. Even took it to a Nokia Care Point in Jeddah (my warranty is valid in Saudi Arabia only). They however were very incompetent and didn't do anything about it. I've even tested my friend's E72 and it works perfectly. So it's not the computer, rather something to do with the phone.

I can stream audio from the Nokia to my Parrot Party speakers, be hands free in my car bluetooth system, can transfer files between my PC and the Nokia.However, for some odd reason, the Nokia does not detect my Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000. My laptop connects without a problem to this keyboard, but the Nokia won't.

The phone seems unable to detect it however
The card works fine on the PC, and I tried out a couple of other microSD cards (lower capacity though - 2 and 4 GB) in the phone, and they work fine as well. So it's just this combination of 32 GB card + N8 phone that seems broken.

May 12, 2010I recently encountered issues with the photo gallery and the media player on my nokia n900 where all the photos, music and videos are not detected by them. If I were to browse to them via file manager, I can find what I'm looking for but if I go into "photos" in the main menu, it just displays "(no images)" (there are images on the phone) and in Media Player (main menu again) it just shows all 4 icons but shows "(no songs)" or "(no videos)" under music, video and shuffle all songs (again, there is music and videos on the phone). Internet radios still show 48 stations.
If I were to use file manager to open images, music or videos, they run normally as if their programs can detect them but they are still undetectable when gone into "photos" and "media player". Even with music, if I play it via file manager, hit back to go to the media player menu (with the 4 icons), it still shows no songs or videos, despite it playing one!Can anybody help me resolve this?Firmware version = 3.2010.02-8.203.1 (recently reflashed, issue was not occuring when I had the latest vodafone uk firmware version, forgot it's version number)Edit:Forgot to add, this happened gradually. These did work at first after the reflash, photo gallery went a week ago the media player stopped working today.
Nokia Lumia :: Proximity Sensor Stuck In "Detected" State?
Jun 17, 2012I am unable to end calls on my Lumia 800. As soon as I hit send on a phone call, whether the phone is close to my face or not, the phone goes black, and stays black until the other end hangs up.
I went into the Diagnostics to check the Proximity Sensor and it is stuck in "Detected" mode. My phone has no screen cover and is only about a month old. There's nothing obstructing the top right side corner over the sensor. This behavior didn't begin after any update, and I have no background tasks running (though I don't believe the sensor is available via the APIs anyways).
Since there's a ton of people on xda-developers with the same issue, is there any fix to this or is my phone faulty? Is Nokia aware of this and has there been any effort to contact providers or Lumia 800 customers to let them know this is a major, wide reaching problem with this phone?

Aug 23, 2011Yesterday I wanted to update my Nokia E63, I saw there was 2 ways of Updating, 1. Over The Air, but there was no clear definition on how to do that, So I want to the other option, Nokia Ovi PC Suite. The download kept failing but it kept resuming when I tried to download the update again. After the download finished Usually you do not need the internet to install something that you already downloaded (Should Always Be Like That!!) So I thought that and while the update was installing Nokia Ovi PC Suite said something about Cannot Connect To Service, Although My Internet was PERFECT! and I tried to turn on my E63 and it would just vibrate and then turn off. I tried reviving it by leaving the battery out for 5 mins ( I also left it out for 6 hours) And when you turn it on Hold the Green Button Call And the 3 and the *. But none of that works, I wanted to send my phone to Nokia Care through Post But you need the IMEI but How can I do that?

Now I have this problem with the Nokia Suite not upgrading firmware without the sim card.I use nokia now mostly as a GPS and a Wi-fi net browsing device, so I would like to get the new map version since the current one (v3.01 09wk44 b01) keeps crashing when synchronizing favs. I downloaded the .sis file from softpedia (v3.03 10wk11 b04) but get certificate errors when trying to install it. Does anybody know where can I get a signed map, latest version for nokia n95, with a fix for the sync crash? (It does get sync'ed but closes every time)
