I can not get Evernote because the Ovi store application does not works on my N900. I can not open Ovi store (no error only it does not start). When I sent a link from desktop Ovi store to my N900 it also doen't work (not opening).

Is it the case? cuz i have been trying to reach ovi store for quite sometime and it says the same again and again. Secondly my Maps are not functioning at all. It cannot locate the GPS . View 5 Replies View Relatedi downloaded the new firmware 44.1 to my phone yesterday through NSU & did my backup restore.but for some reason I canot download from Ovi Store.After I click download in Ovi Store- the app manager opens & just says "preparing for installation" & stays there for ever.. nothng happens... I had to stop the downloads manually many times..I checked the log file in Application Manager & here is the error message.

But now a days whenever I open application manager it immediately gives the message "Operation Failed". But the window remains open. Even download from OVI was also not allowed before and after this message started coming.

Now all is fine. Isn't it? So they said first start nokia map application till it load completely then close it. I did. Then connect ur phone on PC SUIT MODE and also I did that. Then all I get on nokia map loader app is "Waiting for the phone" thats it and phone already connected I tried in both modes pc suit and mass storage but still the same "Waiting for the phone" and I am waiting too.
I want to open word documents on my n900 using word to go application. Can anyone tell me where I store the word documents when tranferred from a PC. I put them into the document folder but the Word to Go program cant locate them.
View 9 Replies View Related1 - Not all n900 applications i find on the net are searchable or listed at all on the n900s built in application downloader. some files i download manually off the net are in gz and deb format. do i need to install the nokia pc software and transfer them to the phone in order to use them, as i cannot find any other way to do it? from using google there are an awful lot of users saying the nokia software does not work very well at the moment and to avoid using it until its fully adapted for the n900, as some features are supposedly unusable?
2 - is there an easy file unzip program for the n900, hopefully easily found within the n900s application downloader? i tried searching for 'zip' and 'unzip' but nothing crops up
So yesterday all of a suddent after working fine for a month my n900 connects to my wifi connection at home but doesnt open webpages or anything. It connects normally but nothing opens. the vodafone gprs works perfectly.I reflashed phone restored to factory settings formatted. Dont everything so any ideas as to what cuold be wrong?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI had been using my N900 for 2 weeks without any issues. I never updated the software. Last night I was trying to take a picture and opened the camera lens cover. Accidentally I pressed the power button instead of the camera capture key while trying to take the picture. The display went off. I also found the phone felt warmer than usual. I took the battery out, put it in and tried again. No success. This time the phone did seem to be getting hot. I took the battery out and tried several hours later. No effect - the phone wasn't feeling warm either. I tried both the USB and wall charger - the LED was glowing green, but the phone wouldn't turn on.
Now even with the charger connected, the LED doesn't glow. Being a Sunday, I can't contact Nokia Care till tomorrow. Breaks my heart to think the hardware could get messed up so easily. We've had several Nokias in the family but not a high end one like N900. I've tried everything suggested in other forurms (including Maemo). I tried to update software with NSU. The NSU can't even detect the N900 when I connect it to the USB port. Probably suggests the battery is flat. I don't have a 5800 to try and recharge the battery externally - its shocking to know the phone can't charge if the battery is flat. If a laptop can why can't a "smart" phone? Anything else I can try?
I am unable to install most of the application from nokia store.E.g..: photofunia, talking cat,nokia drop,etc it gives installation error....

Well, I installed the software, downloaded plenty of songs, all good on so on.However, last night my Windows 7 installation imploded. The only solution was to reinstall the damn thing. This lead to a serious problem with the Ovi Player.
When I run Ovi Player and try to open the store, it just has a message saying that the store is not available right now, check Internet connection or try again later. But the store is indeed working just fine for my brother on another computer, and works from the phone itself. So for some reason, it's just happening for me. So basically I can't download anything or listen to anything I've already downloaded, because I can't even try to register the player to use this computer so I can't play any of the files due to the DRM stuff and the original Ovi installation being lost in the reinstall (the files themselves I still have). I don't really even know if I can set this new installation as the active computer since there's the 3-month limit thing (which is stupid anyway, and I'd never pay for DRM'd digital media anyway, but as the phone came with the CWM code I figured I'd try it out). But as it is I can't even try and can't even browse the store at all.Any ideas on what to do to get the damn software to work? Reinstalling the player didn't help.
I'm using Nokia E7 and I've done a complete reset of my phone but since this reset, Ovi Store doesn't know which programs are installed. It keeps telling me that certain programs are installed while they are not or if I want to reinstall them, I get a system error. One that I really want to have fixed is fMobi but I got to my total amount of downloads and I can still not get it back installed onto my phone. Is it possible to clear my download history in the Ovi Store or what else can be done to be able to install these programs again?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI`m surprised that Gmail for Mobile app doesn`t work on my Nokia 6303, though it did work well with my old 6151 (and the operator is the same, nothing has changed except the phone model). It downloads properly, but when I try to open the Gmail, it keeps constantly asking for internet connection. But the connection is there! I press the "yes" but it keeps asking till finally tells to check the connectivity... And I have no problems with browsing the internet or opening and using my email accounts via web. I checked my settings but they seemed to be fine. But Gmail just doesn`t work, though I`ve tried several versions besides the newest one.
