some of my n8 contacts have many number within a contact. after sync ovi displays all details but once i check in outlook just one number is taken as i wish to transfer all contacts to samsung s2.

This is useful to check how much data traffic has been used by the phone if you have a limited data plan. View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't seem to be able to sync my contacts to my Microsoft Outlook (2003) from my N8. It worked fine with the N85. I get an error message from Ovi Suite that neither Calendar nor Contacts could be synced but the Calendar does get updated. Unfortunately not the contacts. When I go to Sync Options and select Outlook for contacts and calendar I get a message from Outlook that it cannot connect to the Exchange Server, but I don't use Exchange server, I use a private e-mail account. I have tried to set up the account again as per the Ovi Suite error message (Error 83860004) but nothing. Of course also restarting Ovi Suite.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to sync the contact list from outlook I get the error "unable to read application Data". I can sync my calendar, tasks and memos from Outlook, but for some reason I have problems with the contacts.

1. I have a few messages that I got a couple of days ago, and for some reason, those 5 last messages won't sync into Ovi. But if I send myself a new message now, it will sync that new one, still ignoring those other 5.
They are in the Inbox.
I'm using Ovi 2.1.1.1
Windows 7.
Connected via Bluetooth.
Nokia n95 (4gb) is my mobile.
Why is this happening?
2. Can I somehow reset/delete my current sync profile and start over with a fresh new sync of my mobile phone? I tried to un-install and re-install Ovi, but all the old sync data was already there... I want Ovi to "start over" if you will, in hope that this issue above goes away.

The numbers are still in my simcard or phone as when people call me their name still appears. I just finished applying all the Anna updates and am still missing Quickoffice and PDF viewer. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to get them back?Not sure if this matters but I had the paid version of Quickoffice. Since I installed that a while ago I am thinking the Quickoffice in the Anna update is a newer version.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHi guys, I am an ICT Tech having a problem with my bosses new Nokia E72 and syncing it with Microsoft Outlook calendar.
I have installed the Nokia PC Suite and followed all the instructions, helps topics, etc but still when i try to sync with the Outlook calendar i get the following error message:
"PC Sync has encountered a problem and has terminated the synchronisation.
Please check your synchronisation settings and ensure your phone is in the idle state, then restart the synchronisation."
The settings and phone are in the correct state as far as I can see. I am using Windows XP Pro and connecting the phone via USB.
As a last resort I tried uninstalling/Reinstalling Microsoft Outlook and the Nokia PC Suite, with the same outcome. The E72 replaces a Palm which worked great with Outlook; I have uninstalled all the software for the Palm (just noted in case this helps with the replies)
Has anyone found this problem before and does anyone have a solution for this?
I want to sync (through Ovi) my calendar with my E71. Everything worked fine until I changed my calendar setup in Outlook 2007. I am not using a Calendar with a different tab name and my default calendar is empty. The calendar on the E71 is now also empty as I takes the input from the default calendar. It is there way to sync with a non default calendar in outlook (I understand that multiple calendars is not supported anyway)

Except for notes.I use notes all the time at work, but they don't synchronise at all.If I create a new note on the phone, it will sync to Outlook.Same vice-versa.But if I update a note on the phone, it won't update to Outlook. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had two 5230s for various reasons on two different networks. On my current one (t-mobile, uk) I seem to be missing the shortcut to the GPS data application. I've only just noticed this as I had issues with my GPS when abroad and I wanted to check which satellites were or weren't being seen.
I discovered that the application is in fact installed as if I go into the voice commands I can say "GPS data" and the application is displayed. But I seem to have no way to start the app without using the voice command. I know I could try a hard or soft reset, but I'd like to avoid that option at the moment, and it may not even work. Any way to get the "shortcut" re-applied?
Nokia 808 Belle FP2's gallery is still crippled. There is no way to organize photos into folders or tag them in any useful manner. And there no possibility to select multiple items for sharing etc. Gallery cannot zoom images that are downloaded to the phone from other sources no matter how big these images are.
None of these limitations were present in Symbian Anna, so this is a major drawback and downgrade in terms of features even this 808 shoud be Nokias's current flag ship phone on photography domain.
I got optional update from my N8-00 and I dont know what happened but it seems that it corrupted my phone because it doesn't pass through the loading page luckily I was able to get a fix on that. But the main problem is I've been missing some of Nokia Apps including Maps, Ovi store, quick office and also the pre-downloaded games that came with Symbian belle. I believe those are Need for Speed, Golf and I forgot the other one. How can I have those apps back? I've been doing factory reset every now and then but still programs are missing. And also those missing programs have widgets on my homescreen and an error which is "Error occurred. Widgets removed" will pop up on my screen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLast week I noticed that all my photos and videos have are missing from gallery and i thought I might have deleted them accidentally, but discovered tht after taking a picture they go missing withing a short time, A carefull search with OVI suite and my PC revealed tht all the videos and photos are still in the E;mass memory but for some reason I cant access them from my phone.
I also noticed tht there seem to be a problem with the E:mass memory when I access it through file manager. I cannot access any of my folders saved in the E: memory.
After upgrading to belle all my contacts are gone. Nokia suite also reports that I have no contacts . However in my sms inbox all the messages are still associated with the contacts that send them. Thus a contact database must still exist on the phone somewhere.I am also having trouble with the music I downloaded from ovi prior to the update. When trying to play the song a error message appears claiming that the license for the track has expired or gone missing and asks me if I want to get a new license. after saying yes I would, a webpage comes up saying I can only request new licenses for songs I downloaded myself( which is all my songs). I guess this another win for piracy as ovi is making it to difficult not to

With the latest Ovi Suite version 2.2.0.245, finally some issues are solved but still others persist. In this thread I would like to mention that Ovi synchronization does not sync the Contacts information such as Company and E-mail.
