I have searched and while some topics exist on taking from the sim card using Nokia Suite, none address my issue of moving contacts from phone memory to the SIM Card.I have the latest N97 and Nokia Suite updates, but I can find no way to write to the SIM card.

For using Nokia Drive - is it mandatory to download the maps? Just wondering how Google Navigation / Maps work for Android as I don't recall d/l any maps on Android!
I test drove the Nokia drive on couple of known locations and both times the paths chosen were uncommon - when comparing to the inbuilt GPS in the car as well as with Google Navigation! This was US maps. I hope Nokia Maps / Drive gets better.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi own a 5800 and when i tried to access to the memory card through the file manager it says the card was corrupted. but when i inserted the card in a memory card reader, it works accept that i cant eject it and a pop-up window came out saying an error occured while ejecting the card. it is a 8Gb memory card. i found a solution similar to my situation but is there any other alternative ways that doesn't require me to download huge files?

When going to file manager, seems it doesnt find memory card, even it is inserted.Then when removing memory card, phone works normally and not slow, fast. What is wrong with my 5230, why it doesnt find my memory card and why inserting it makes so slow? I would like to get it work because it has all my music and pictures etc...

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen i switch it on it works very good no problem at all it asks for the pin code i enter it is acceptet i text messages i speak on it but suddenly i get "insert sim card" and if i press ok the phone is switching off and i get this error like every time it may be 2 hours it may be 10 minutes. The phone seems unable to detect it however
The card works fine on the PC, and I tried out a couple of other microSD cards (lower capacity though - 2 and 4 GB) in the phone, and they work fine as well. So it's just this combination of 32 GB card + N8 phone that seems broken.
I was trying to back up my memory card (5800XM) via Windows XP - copying/pasting - and several corrupt files were thrown up.e.g "22%.dat" in the Private....CacheE folder, a file for Opera Mini DS folder Even when I deleted 22%.dat from the phone, it was miraculously resurrected as soon as I tried to copy over again. Do I have to reformat the card & reinstall Ovi Maps, music / image files, Apps again ?

I bought a 32GB MicroSD card for my N8 so that I had enough capacity to store all of my MP3s. Unfortunately I can't convince Ovi Music Player to sync music to that location. It always tries to sync the music to the N8's 16GB internal storage area despite there not being enough capacity to do so. Is there any way to configure either Ovi Music Player or the N8 to use the MicroSD card exclusively for the music library?
