Nokia Nseries :: Insert Sim Card Error?
Nov 9, 2012When i switch it on it works very good no problem at all it asks for the pin code i enter it is acceptet i text messages i speak on it but suddenly i get "insert sim card" and if i press ok the phone is switching off and i get this error like every time it may be 2 hours it may be 10 minutes. I tried to put a piece of paper on it to make the contact even harder but it didnt work i also checked if the sim has problems and doesn`t.

Nov 3, 2011i have a nokia n73 some times it shows the error on screen "insert sim" . and stop working, even its power off button dnt works that time.. i solve this by tacking out the battery from cell to restart the cell fone , after restarting it is working well and there is no any "insert sim" problem .the next day it again show the same problem and i again solve this by putting out the battery from cell to restart the phone. what is the root cause of this error "insert sim"

Mar 31, 2010I just tried adding a (degree) character to an SMS I was writing (from the Sym screen) and noticed that the number of characters remaining changed by 91. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has the same problem. Open a new SMS and you should see 160 (1) in the right hand side of the text input box. Press the Fn (Up/Right arrow) button and then the Sym/Ctrl button. Choose the ° character (third row down, second from right) and watch the available-character count drop to 69 (1).
I know the ° character isn't supported as standard, but I figured I'd try it seeing as how the device was allowing me to insert it, but only expected the count to change by a maximum of 2. Any ideas what's going on? I tried sending the message to myself and it displayed OK by the way

Jul 10, 2010Why will my 7230 only accept names in the contacts with 10 characters or less? I have seen screen shots of the 7230 in phone review websites that show contacts with more than 10 characters. Also will not allow me to use small fonts in Contacts.

May 31, 2010i am at my wits end.I constantly get the message on my n95 8gb to 'insert sim card' this happens 10-20 times aday.The only way to resolve it is to remove the battery 10-20 times aday! There seems to be no reason for this as it can happen if left on a desk,in my pocket etc.I'm also getting the 'sim card registration failed' message now and then as well. IS THIS A SIM CARD OR A PHONE PROBLEM? Any guidence would be gratefully recieved.

Aug 1, 2010I have an E71, and about once a day I get this message saying "insert SIM card." This hasnt happened ever not until just maybe a week or 2 ago. It happens almost daily and I have to restart the phone. Any ideas on why this might be happening and how to make it go away would be extremely helpful!

Jul 9, 2010Since updating to 410.21.010, my E71 occasionally shows a "Insert SIM card" message. This is rather odd, as it's not feasible to do so (the battery blocks the slot), and the SIM hasn't had any trouble before. Worse still, when this occurs the phone becomes entirely useless - not only can I not access running apps (and the model doesn't require a SIM for that), I can't even turn it off.Upon removal of the battery to forcibly restart the phone, it starts just fine, SIM and all - so the card isn't poorly seated or anything like that.

Jun 29, 2010For starters i love this handst but getting very annoyed by this fault I keep on having.Pretty much i am on my 3rd N900 as my last two kept on telling me to insert a sim card when there was one in there which worked with other phones and other sim cards did the same thing in the phone. Also it is always loosing the signal.usually a quick reset fixes this problem but now this phone won't pick it up at all. It has had no signal for 24 hours. Sim works in other phones and other simcards have the same problem in this phone.
I have changed from dual to gsm and 3g but still no luck. Carphonewarehouse says it is a antenee problem but this has happened to 3 of them!! Any ideas, as i am looking to swap it for the Nexus One which i don't really want to do but will be forced to if none of you have a fix.
Nokia :: 5230 - How To Remove Memory Card To Insert New
Jun 30, 2010I'm having 3 issues with my recently bought cell-phone(Nokia 5230).
First of all, I've bought a 16GB memory card, but I don't know how to remove the 2GB one it currently has inserted. I press down the memory card but it won't (Fully) come out! Can someone explain me how to remove it, please?
Another issue is with some Bluetooth connections.
I tried to transfer some songs from my girlfriend's cell-phone, I've connected the 2 devices by creating an authorized(Automatically transfers data between the 2 cell-phones) paired connection. But I can't transfer data from her cell-phone to mine. They connect but the data isn't transferred! Side note: I've been able to transfer data before with the same devices, it would only transfer whenever it wanted, though. If it failed, I had to change the permissions and just try again. It could fail countless times(Once it failed like... 15 times in a row).
Now, it just won't transfer. They connect and the "Receiving data via Bluetooth" screen appears, but nothing happens until the connection times out. I've done nothing wrong and everything is fine, I guess. Does it only happen to me?
My last (main) problem:Battery.
My battery has a very short duration time. At the first time I turned it on, I've used it until the battery ran out, like I was told so. Then, I've plugged it to the switch and turned it on. I've used it through that time though, only to send and receive text messages. I exchange about 400 text messages per day. I've done everything I could to save battery. I've turned off the delivery reports, I always have it in silent mode, the screen bright is lower than the default value, etc. Still, it only lasts me like 20 hours before it ran's out. The first bar takes "a lot" of time to disappear, but the last 6 ones disappear quite fast.
I've tried to let him charge for 10-12 hours 2 times after that, but I didn't notice any change.If I'm on a long duration call, the battery runs out after... 3.45-4.30 hours. But that's definitely not the problem.I don't know if this affects, but it is always connected to my operator through 3G.

When i insert Tata Docomo Sim Card in my 5230, and whenever i try to call any one it says Connection Error and am not able to call anyone, nor able to receive any, although the network signal is full.
When i removed Docomo simcard, and inserted Reliance in 5230, than it works fine and i am able to send & receive calls.When i put that Same Docomo simcard in Motorola, than it also works fine.Why does Docomo simcard shows Connection Error in Nokia and works fine in Motorola??
Nokia :: PC Sync Warning Message - Insert Entries Into The Mobile Phone
Jun 1, 2010I have been using PC Sync for a long while now, and had no problems so far But since about two weeks ago, the entries that have been entered / modified in Microsoft Outlook, are not synced into my phone at all. PC Sync tells a warning message about these events and contacts, says it could not insert entries into the mobile phone. All the entries that have been entered / changed on my phone, are succesfully synced into my Outlook. I did not change / install anything so I do not know why did this issue started about two weeks ago.

So I tried typing the same message again and a noticed that when I use emojis the character limit changes from 160 to 70. This happens on my One m7 with the HTC keyboard, Google keyboard, swiftkey, android l keyboard, and fleksy. Only keyboard it doesn't happen with is swype but I would hardly call swype's 15 face options emojis.

Dec 28, 2013I have a HTC one and after what I assume was a whole system update (around 2+ weeks ago) it gave me the emojis/emoticons on the standard keyboard instead of just the smileys. Usually I have a character limit of 160 on the normal text messages but as soon as I add an emoji it cuts it to 70.
I've read somewhere that adding an emoji means all characters double, cutting it nearly in half, but the thing is, it was only a couple days ago that it started cutting down to 70. I was putting emojis in and it was only taking one character, and not changing the overall character limit.
I was wondering whether there was the possibility to change the sms formatting so emojis will only take one character and not change the overall count?

Jan 18, 2010When I'm replying to a text on my Env3, It doesn't show the character count for 0/160. I did my first text over 160 characters and I received a text from Verizon saying I went over my character limit. It didn't send it in two texts and it also didn't tell me where it cut off. I had to get on my computer, Open a character counter, Retype the text to see where the 160 mark was. Is there an easier way to do this? Can I send the text in two pieces instead of retyping half the text?

I have an issue where when i load on songs that are in Chinese, some of the song names do not display in chinese (its just random symbols). However some of the songs do display correctly.
