May 26, 2010Can someone tell me how to upgrade my firmware to the new PR1.2 released yesterday.I have a Vodafone direct N900 and understand they are going take months maybe to upgrade.I know they say it will invalidate the warranty, but not worried about that.

Aug 6, 2010Nokia, is there ever gonna be flash 10 support for the n900. When I bought this phone I was under the impression that it would be (as you advertised) the ultimate internet browsing experience. How is this possible when just about every other smart phone device has flash 10 support . Without flash 10 the n900's just another device with no other exceptional features.I bought the n900 to browse the net on the go, however due to lack of flash 10 and absolutely no support from you guys (nokia), I have now moved on to android and I have no intent on looking back to any if your future devices, as I'm quite sure many other n900 users have. How can you (nokia) release a "flag ship device" and drop support for it immediately afterwards. Hell I'd hate to see what you do to non "flagship devices." And my god, it's been 7......7 MONTHS and there's still NO OVI STORE SUPPORT FOR THE N900.To any future n900 buyers viewing this thread, do not buy this device! Nokia shows absolutely no support for it for over 6 months now and the only apps available for it are from a very hard working community, and they are very few , declining and they are also very...very **bleep** at nokia.

Jun 5, 2010It seems the version of flash on the N900 is vulnerable to attack.. and attacks against flash already exist!To make sure your phone is safe until Nokia release an updated Flash plugin, you can disable flash:
1) Open the web browser and tap the top of the screen to open the menu buttons:
2) Press Options
3) Press Add-Ons
Select Shockwave Flash, then Disable.Then you can close the window.

It would be great if Flash 10.1 were to come to N900. Flash on Maemo was one of the main reasons for choosing N900.Android is getting it with 2.2 (Froyo) and with turn by turn navigation is already ahead of the game.

Jun 26, 2010I Just reflashed my N900 to RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1.203.1_PR_COMBINED_203_ARM and wanted to clear it completely by flashing RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM Though the first 1 flashes just fine, but the vanilla file wont flash. I entered this command flasher-3.5 -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_ MR0_ ARM.bin -f -R. It detects the device, then it says "booting device into flash mode" But then nothing happens anymore, phone does not show usb icon anymore And i just see flasher v2.5.2 <sep 24 2009> Image 'mmc', size 255947 kB version RX-51_2009SE _10.2010.13-2.VANILLA USB device found found at bus bus-0, device address \.libusb0-0001--0x0421-0x0105. May 16, 2010i have downloaded fapn and configured the settings, now when i go on the application manager and find fmms, it only finds fmms 1.0.3, now iv downloaded this and followed this video off Internet http://www.Internet.com/watch?v=zardaw47lh8 on how to set it up, yet the version the person in the video downloads is 0.2.8-1 and has different setting to the one i find and download. iv tried sending an mms and always comes up with the error: - 2 name or service not known, please make sure ur apn settings r correct!

Mar 2, 2012I spoke to vodafone oz, who said that Nokia have not sent belle over to them for testing yet....it's HIGHLY FRUSTATING to upgrade to belle, than not be able to use vodafone's own skype app (so i can get unlimited data very cheaply).....firstly it's a shame vodafone put a wrapper app behind skype in the first place!!! For now I have to just use skype from the ovi store and use my data allowance. Anyhow, will nokia be sending over belle anytime soon to vodafone australia????????? They said until they do and it passes testing, it won't be supported.

Apr 26, 2010i realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.

But i can't buy using operator billing in Nokia Ovi Store.My story:Until June, operator billing was available, but only for apps between 0 and 5€. Apps that costed more that 5€, operator billing was not available, and even didn't showed on the billing options. I complained to Vodafone and they said that they will try to fix it, and acknowledge that the problem was in they're side.After some weeks, the operator billing option showed in all apps. But since then, it's impossible to buy apps, even if they cost only 1€.This problem happens since June, and is still not fixed. Now they also say that it's also a Nokia Ovi Store problem. May 18, 2012I have a factory unlocked Vodafone 9900 from the UK (Carphonewarehouse). I've moved to Canada and inserted a Koodo, Bell, and Rogers SIM and the phone could not pull in a 3G signal at all.
It can pull in a Rogers/Fido 2G signal easily, but for some reason 3G won't work.
When I do a manual search for a network, it detects a Rogers 2G network, and for some odd reason a WIND and Mobilicity network.
Now I got this phone in the UK, and according to Vodafone's website it uses the following bands: HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100 why in Canada I can't pull in a 3G signal using 1900/850?
