I have a problem when ejecting my phone. I use windows 7 ultimate 64bit. When i try to eject it, it says that you can remove your hardware safely but when i remove my device the device says some data might be lost.When i was using XP it didn't have the problem. Is it something that i have missed?
View 7 RepliesUsing N79 with Ovi suite 2.0.2.42 on Windows 7 Ultimate.I need advice on what to do to the Nokia OVI suite software to avoid it getting its fingers into my system - let me describe the problem.From a fresh reboot, drive plugged in, when I try to eject the external HDD, Windows reports the device is in use. In the system event log, the reason for this is reported as something to do with NokiaMServer.I have not run any applications, so the MServer process must have decided all on its own that it must open something on the external HDD and not let go like a bulldog.Is there any way to get the Nokia software to not lock things? I just connected my new n86 to the laptop which has win7 build 7600 ultimate and now it shows it as "S60 Handset" in the taskbar instead of nokia n86 before and even now if i connect the 5800 it shows it as "Nokia 5800 XpressMusic" anyway the ovi suite reads it well and everything is ok im able to read and write all memories (phone, mass, m.card) but why is this happening?

i seem to be having a bluetooth challenge in not getting all the drivers.on my desktop (win 7/64bit) i am connected and can transfer files just fine. it took a while but finally all the drivers kicked in after a number of attempts.however, on my booklet 3g, win7/32bit, i cannot send files from my n900 to my booklet, only FROM my booklet.
seems no matter what i do i cannot get my booklet to load the additional drivers.in lookin on my phone in the bluetooth settings between what is different:on my desktop connection under supported profies: a2dp, ftp, hsp, opp and on my booklet connection under supprted profies: *blank*
so i think the issue is obvious there. but i dont understand why the phone is not sending the bluetooth drivers or the booklet is not being able to find the drivers to make my transfers work correctly.i have tried going to broadcom and downloading the latest driver package (did this for my desktop) but when i launch it, it doesnt even find my bluetooth adapter in my booklet, says to turn it on, but no matter what i do, (it is on) it will not recognize it to move on...
The E90 (Firmware upgraded today) does not sync completely with Outlook 2007. I'm missing new agenda-entries and ALL notes.(Notes-sync as well as agn-sync are set to manual and of course I have triggered both syncs several times after updating software)
And I'm also missing a possibility to access the notes on the mobile device - the old E90-Software permitted that, but I'm not seeing how to do that with Ovi?
When i connect my bold 9700 to my computer with the usb, the manager pops up and everythings fine. My only questions is that i cant eject safely with the windows safe removal tool. IS there any way to eject safely, or does it not matter?
View 4 Replies View RelatedBefore disconnecting my Photon from my Windows 7 computer I always eject the media prior to disconnecting the cable. I have a microSD card installed in my photon, so when I connect to the computer, two drives appear. It used to be when I clicked on the icon to eject the drives, the two drives displayed under MB855 and I could click on MB855 and eject both drives at once. I noticed recently that this is no longer the case. MB855 is greyed out and each drive must be ejected individually. At first I thought this was due to a change on my computer, but when I connected the phone to my other Windows 7 I saw the exact same behavior. When I connect my external WD HD, which has multiple partitions, to my computer it allows both partitions to be ejected at the same time, so now I'm thinking this change of behavior might be do to the recent Photon update. How to change this behavior so that both drives can once again be ejected at the same time?

I merely want to set up my phone as a PHONE via bluetooth to my computer so that I can use it as a microphone on Skype and on OC. I've had a Lumia 1020 for a while. I've been connecting it to a Win7 desktop to offload pictures at work, and I connect it to a Win8.1 desktop at home. Today, I plug in my 1020 to my Win7 machine and it doesn't show up in Windows Explorer. I reboot the machine, still won't show up. I go to devices and printers in control panel and I delete the driver, replug in my phone, and upon discovery, it's now trying to install a Lumia 909, which fails, BTW... So I can't offload picts to my Win7 box. I need to try it with my Win8.1 machine.

However I just noticed that when downloading the videos I took with it onto my PC, the creation date of the file is no more the date when I shot the video but the date and time when it was imported on the PC.Whatever the way I tranfer the video I lose the right date: either accessing via the Windows Filer Manager or via Media Go.Strangely enough there is no such issue with the pictures, where date and time are the right one.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I use a 2.5 (who's ridiculous idea was that, anyway?) to 3.5 converter for my e71x, and have the headphones plugged in all the way, I only get audio out of the right side of the headphones. If I plug the the headphones in just before it clicks in to place, I can get audio out of both sides but since it's not fully plugged in the sound always bounces in and out. I've used multiple converters and headsets, all of which are working properly. Is this a design flaw or do I have a bad one that I need to send in for warranty repair?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my new e72 (fw up to date 031.023)a couple of days ago and i already found a HUGE problem with the keypad. The keys which have a number (R,T,Y,F,G,H,V,B, N and M) do not work properly!
I found that when typing at a regular speed these keys do not get registered all the time. At first i thought i was nuts and that i just "havn't gotten used to the phone yet" probably to satisfy my emotions of just having bought a completly new phone, having "upgraded" from the e71. For instance.. Without thinking please try typing these words, as you would normally with two thumbs:
I also found when the words start with a number key, everything is okay. But when you press those keys in the middle of a word, or at the end of the word they don't get registered very often (this does not happen with the e71)
I have had a problem with the email not updating properly.It only seems to pull in the emails when I connect to the internet. When I first connect, I get a the email messages coming through. If I stay connected, I don't get anymore emails.It used to always alert me when I got a new email, but now nothing happens. I have checked the settings and it says that it should automatically update every 5 mins. Even if I press send/recieve and I know I have an email that should be there, nothing shows.
