HTC :: HD2 Will NOT Be Upgradeable To WM7?
Mar 1, 2010There have been quite a few rumors of a Windows Phone 7 OS upgrade for the HD2, and until now, there was hope for a possible upgrade to the Windows Phone 7. In an interview with APC Magazine, Microsoft claims that the HTC HD2 does not meet their criteria for the new OS. Natasha Kwan, General Manager for Microsoft’s Mobile Communications Business in the Asia-Pacific region pointed out that the HD2 will not qualify for an upgrade to WP7 as “it doesn’t have the three buttons”. The three buttons Kwan refers to are the, Home, Back and Search keys that are mandatory for all Windows Phone 7 devices. The HD2 on the other hand has Call, Home, Start, Back and End/Power controls. Buttons might not be the only thing that’s keeping this Snapdragon monster from a WP7 upgrade. Tony Wilkinson, Business Operations Director for Microsoft Australia claims that, “There are some hardware components that the HD[2] doesn’t have”. Thanks for crushing our hopes and dreams Microsoft!

Mar 28, 2012I recently got my sister's 'old' iPhone 3GS after she upgraded to an iPhone 4. What I'd like to know is, can an iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.2.1 be upgraded to iOS 5.0? If so, how do I do this (step-by-step) without losing any of the apps she had installed on the phone <note: the iTunes on my iMac's not allowing me to transfer her apps (things she purchased) because she purchased them - I don't really want to lose them, but if I can't avoid it, then, I'll just deal with it>
On the same note, I have a friend with an iPhone 3G; he claims he used to have a 4G card in it, but inadvertently locked himself out of the PUC card and forgot the password. is his phone upgradeable from iOS 3.x.x to iOS 5.0?

When I try to connect in the PC nothing happens and when I try to put the battery into the device. it turns on by itself and restarting sevaral times. I dont know what kind of problem I am facing.

Dec 23, 2012I have a Nokia 500 with Belle installed (vers: 111.021.0028) and Nokia Suite vers 3.6.36.On the 17.12.2012 I've installed the latest version of Romania maps: 00.02.47.103 and since then I get the same error message 'car navigation cannot start at this location'. I can access the maps, I get the correct position but the problem occurs when I try to navigate to any address. It doesn't seem to have an actual issue with the location because I've tried several locations in Bucharest and got the same error.

Mar 11, 2012I performed updated from Anna to Belle today for my girlfriend on Nokia C7. I synchronized contacts, calendar and notes via iSync on my Mac OS. After update all messages are erased and she had important information there. I read in trouble shooting, that:: What should I do if the automatic restore of my phones content doesnâ work after I did the update to Nokia Belle and I dont see my contacts, calendar, bookmarks, etc.?A: The backup of your phone content is stored under C:Users[username]DocumentsNokia SuiteBackups and includes "Nokia_Belle_Update" in the filename. If the automatic restore doesn't work, you can try to restore your contents manually by opening the "Tools menu" in Nokia Suite and selecting "Restore".
I installed Ovi Suite on Mac and downloaded extra support for C7, but I couldn't restore that information. She never installed Ovi Suite on her PC. My question is: is she installs Ovi Suite for PC on her laptop, will she be able to restore old messages? I recently switched to Belle as well on my Nokia N8, but I'm not that crazy about old messages, so I haven't noticed it. I checked on my phone using Files disk C, but there wasn't any folders with my username.

Aug 23, 2011Yesterday I wanted to update my Nokia E63, I saw there was 2 ways of Updating, 1. Over The Air, but there was no clear definition on how to do that, So I want to the other option, Nokia Ovi PC Suite. The download kept failing but it kept resuming when I tried to download the update again. After the download finished Usually you do not need the internet to install something that you already downloaded (Should Always Be Like That!!) So I thought that and while the update was installing Nokia Ovi PC Suite said something about Cannot Connect To Service, Although My Internet was PERFECT! and I tried to turn on my E63 and it would just vibrate and then turn off. I tried reviving it by leaving the battery out for 5 mins ( I also left it out for 6 hours) And when you turn it on Hold the Green Button Call And the 3 and the *. But none of that works, I wanted to send my phone to Nokia Care through Post But you need the IMEI but How can I do that?
