I'm on a 24 month cwm sub and some of the albums i have downloaded in the past are no longer available on Ovi Music. This causes the licence check to fail when copying to my 5800I am entitled to this music "for life" so please can you confirm how I can get my licences back?

View 3 Replies View Relatedi hav Nokia n8 which is a Ovi music unlimited handset...recently i did a 3 finger hard reset...after this the songs downloaded from Ovi music before hard reset lost licence...also i cannot download any songs from Ovi music anymore...it says this is not the omu handset.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMostly, my 5800 handles my music files OK. However occasionally it just deletes some of the songs. So I have to copy them on again. Mostly this just happens once but sometimes again. Several different albums have been affected this way. I have a particular album that is constantly incorrectly filed in the Library. I have tried ripping a couple of formats. As wma files, they are presented correctly but some songs are regularly erased completely. They are suddenly not on the phone at all! As mp3s they appear as Unknown Artist in the Library even though they appear correct and all file details including performing artist are correct in the file manager. They are assigned correctly in Ovi Music but are not assigned correctly on the phone.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded the firmware from v31.0.101 to v50.0.005 and I had the unpleasent surprise to find that the music player is no longer working. It plays only the files stored in the phone memory and is unable to update the library. It shows music files on the memory card that were deleted longtime ago and refresh library does not change anything: always shows refresh complete 0 files added. When I connect the phone to the PC, the Ovi Player doesn't see the phone and even the device manager shows that there is a problem with the portable device (conneced in PC Suite or Media Transfer modes). Done even a hard reset but nothing has changed except that it has lost the applications it had in the phone memory.

Now it won't update or transfer music. Since I got it back from the Nokia store, it have not been working with update on my computer. While it was repaired I also installed Windows 7.
View 10 Replies View Relatedi've just updated the firmware (v. 52.0.007) for my nokia 5800 xm, but when i tried to open the music player application, it tells me that there is a system error. i've tried re-installing the phone update but music player still shows me a general system error. this is making me quite sad. i want my music! heck, it's an 'xpressmusic' phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen i removed my usb cable, the phone said device error then when i went to playlist all the music were gone. If i try to refresh nothing happens, i have removed the data from the card, and put it back still nothing. When i connect with usb cable i can see and even play the music on my laptop. There is still nothing under my playlist the music is still playing under tones but its not showing in my music files and not refreshing.

I left it to try and sort the problem for a while and then pressed STOP. When I tried later, the library was empty.I have upgraded the Music player but that also did not help. I removed the memory card where the MUSIC diretory is located and re-installed it. I have also re-booted the phone several times.From my PC I can see the directroy with all my music. All attempts to REFRESH the library on the phone fail with a message saying that 0 songs have been added. I have left it for long periods of time but still have no songs.If I locate a song with the file manager I can play it.Is there some way to delete/reset the library database and force it to re-create it?

I am hopeless with computers, but i know i have all the system requirements as iv had the full nokia package on this pc before when i had an n96, i then deleted it all when i changed phones.
I bought N97 & transferred some music files from PC. Some them are copied to Menu<Music<Music Library. I want to delete these files. Can anybody guide me for this?

It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?. The phone automatically makes a folder named "Ovi Music Downloads" in the memory card. It should be created in the mass memory.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded my firmware and then maps on my phone. To upgrade the maps I used maps_installer_3.04_10wk17_b07_s60_5.0.Nocs.sis. The install has worked as my maps interface is now different to the previous version. However I have no map showing at all, I can get the little red dot that shows my position, I can get my poition in lattitude and longitude, but that is all. At the bottom of the screen, left hand corner, I get a flashing gps icon with 0.00kb showing, which I assume is the indicator that is waiting for map data, but nothing happens after that.
I have looked on the maps bit of Ovi to try and find the map for my country (UK) but to no avail, it says on the Ovi page to open up Ovi, go to VIEW then maps, there is no VIEW! Also I cannot exit the application by clicking the X in the bottom corner of the menu. I have to exit by pressing the red button on my phone.
I just bought a 5800 (X-Music). To tell you the truth I did not have any problem in dowloading the maps and establishing a first GPS lock. For the time being I use the set off-line (no SIM card inserted). Since I have a flat internet connection at home (Wifi) I also managed to set-up e.mail and go to internet . In other words all functions, that require an internet link, work fine with my home wifi.
What worries me is that when I will eventually use the set on-line (I do not have a flat data profile with my provider) I could be caught into dowloading lots of Mb traffic spending a fortune. For the time I have excluded the A-GPS (Only Integrated is ON).
My questions are :
How can I make sure that using the phone outside my home I do not get linked to internet using GPS or other features ?
What are the GPS limitations that I will face with in this case (i.e. not using any internet link)?
I've had my 5800 for a few months now and love the phone. I downloaded a lot of music onto it when I first bought it and it has been working fine. I have recently moved house and no longer have the internet at home (and cant use it at work as we cant install things like that), and I know I should be able to download the music directly from the phone. I've tried to do this and get as far as the 'My Downloads' section showing the new track I am trying to download, but that's it the phone doesn't seem to store it.
I've tried different memory cards so I know that isn't the problem. I've tried formatting one of the meory cards and retrying it but it still doesn't work. I've tried going into the Applications then into the Memory Card (also tried the Phone itself) to see if it had maybe stored the track under something like images, but it isn't anywhere. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not planning on getting the internet at home so I really need to be able to do this via the phone itself.
I've been using my 5800 XPress comes with music device happily with no problems for about 6 months, now all of a sudden whenever I try to transfer my Comes With Music downloads to my device for no apparent reason they ALL fail to transfer just saying that the transfer has failed but no explanation as to why. There's about 4GB of memory available so it's not a lack of space. I've tried re-installing OVI player to no avail, I can't understand what has happened to stop it transferring, I've changed nothing at all.Any ideas how I might be able to get the music to start transferring again?

View 4 Replies View RelatedCould someone tell me how to save the Playlist's created in the Music Player of a Nokia 5800 to a PC ? Every time I have to format my phone (apparently something goes wrong all the times), lose the playlists n its a headache having to search n add all the songs to a playlist, especially wen there are over 24 hours of music.
I tried Ovi Player but it scans the phone n says tht there are no playlists in the phone whereas I have created about 7 playlists in my music player. My Msic folders would not change in my memory card so saving n restoring these playlist would save me loads of time by not having to create them over n over again.
