i'm using a windows phone lumia 800. it has the latest version of the system operative, but if i use nokia music(or zune) and internet explorer, at the same time, after a few minutes the SO crashed and i have to restart smartphone.
View 3 RepliesI am not sure if it is my calendar customisation or a general problem but since the new year I cannot access the calendar on my Nokia 920.I press the calendar app button and the screen flickers and then does nothing (reverts to home screen). It was working ok yesterday but after the New Year it stopped working.I have a few Outlook calendars (4) linked to the phone calendar as it was difficult ot get feedback from the phone which calendars where linked to it when i set it up.

I will be reading the news, working on the internet, or downloading Apps suddenly the screen flickers, the internet connection get disconnected, and it shuts down.When I start it again, the battery would be empty (even if it was full before) and it shuts off again. I have to leave it for a while to restart it again for it to work. Today I tried hard restart, also factory re-set and erased every thing on the phone but it still had the same problem.

I do not get a force close prompt nor is the program running. It does not do it with the same songs it is purely random when it decides to stop as far as the music I am playing.

Whenever I open a playlist in the music player, and press a letter (to search for that letter), the music player crashes. It doesn't crash if the playlist is small though (I'm not sure what the limit is). Has anyone else experienced this?

Now, my flashlight shuts itself off at random when I'm using it, and I can't get it back without a reboot. Issue 2: my Google Play Music crashes, still. Well, not really a crash. More like its freezing. I open the app and half the time, the last song playing, that's supposed to be @ bottom of screen, is not there. So I have to go into Settings>Apps>Google Music Player, force stop it, then it works just fine again. One other thing I found very odd with my phone...not an issue, just an observation. A few days after installing the update OTA, my remaining ROM/drive space went from a lowly 2.4GB all the way up to 5.5GB free. Nothing was deleted At All. I mean, I cleared the cache for a few apps, but not 3GB worth!

Smartphone works perfectly via WiFi, but doesn't get connection to net via operator's 3G (my tariff is supporting mobile internet). Operator - Russian MTS. At operator's site i checked all internet setting and set up they accordingly. But it doesn't work... 920 doesn't connect at all - Internet Explorer can't connect to any URL. In smartphone settings i've allow data transfer via operator. Doesn't work.A week ago i took smartphone to service center, engineers confirmed problem. Repair took a week. They updated firmware. From the very start after I entered the PIN code it couldn't connect to my Windows Live ID. The Wi-FI won't work, the cingular won't work etc...
I just got the Tango update. However, still no Internet sharing.
My Phone is a Lumia 800. My provider here in Austria is A1. However, I should emphasize that the phone is not carrier branded and that my HTC Trophy that is indeed simlocked to A1 did get Internet sharing back when Mango became available.

I have a song that i downloaded from the Ovi music store and transfered it to my Nokia 5230. It stated that i did not have the correct license to listen to it and that i should try to get it over air. It then leads me onto the internet where i have to enter in my Ovi store username and password, i enter in the correct details but it tells me that i need to allow cookies to access the next page, the only problem is that i have already allowed cookies, why does it not recognize this?

Other apps do show all access points.This is a pitty as the application is rather nice.The app does show settings for the GPRS, 3G and Wi-Fi bitrates, so obviously it does support these connections.I've deleted and re-installed, to no avail.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just picked up the new Lumia 920 from the Microsoft store in Canada. The phone was locked to Rogers and I was required to unlock in order to use it with Telus. I entered all the required APN settings to use Telus data but I still cannot get Internet Sharing to work. I'm having the same issue with MMS as well.
How can I get these features to work? This is a game changer and it's making regret switching to Windows Phone...
Truthfully I dont know if it's Nokia to blame or Rogers or Microsoft but this Internet Sharing and MMS issue has created a really poor Windows Phone experinece for me. Someone really needs to step up to the plate and address this.

Others are able to connect to my network if I share but when they try to browse internet,none of the internet pages are opening. Then I have tried to share my internet to my laptop(Windows 7 OS). I was able to connect but I was unable to surf anything.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI turn on Internet sharing on the phone. I connect my MacBook Pro mid 2012 to the phone by WiFi. Now you normally have an Internet connection on your laptop through your phone.
In my case the WiFi connection from my laptop to the Lumia keeps disconnecting after just some tens of seconds. This has happened on 2 different Lumia 920 phones used on 2 different MacBook Pros and an iPad.
This is NOT carrier related. I have already gone through this with my carrier (Elisa).
I got my Nokia Lumia 800 about 8 weeks ago and everything was working fine until I did an update on my phone when it told me updates were available. I plugged it in and continued with the update. Ever since I have been unable to access any Internet pages on my phone.It still works because it shows how many e-mails I have on my e-mail tab, but no pages will open whatsoever. I try opening Internet Explorer and it makes the swipe action as if it's about to open, but then it doesn't. Same for the e-mails, won't open them, and it won't open the App market, et cetera.I tried resetting my phone and still nothing, is there anything I can do?
