I started to have this problem yesterday. The power and volume down buttons are just unresponsive, so the only way to unlock my phone now is to use the camera button. I've tried resetting the phone and it didn't help, so I'm guessing not a software issue, but hardware. Should I just return it to the store for repair/new
and yeah, the reset was done via Settings, not soft or hard reset since the buttons aren't working.
My lumia 900, 3 navigation buttons at the bottom of screen have stooped working that's the back arrow,windows start button, search button making the phone unusable have reset phone to factory setting still the same?
View 2 Replies View RelatedToday the Home, Back and Search buttons stopped working in my Lumia 900. They don't work at all now. Zune says the software is up to date. I even tried a Hard Reset on it, but it didn't help.I tried once to boot without SIM card, and it seemed to help -- but only for a while after which the issue reappeared. Now I've been rebooting the phone a million times with and without SIM card and not seen the buttons working at all. Is it a HW failure?

I have been using it for a 4 weeks now and suddenly when it was on the lock screen won't show up just the background without the clock, wifi, 3G or any other icons showing. After that when the screen timed out I can't get it to wake up anymore. When I get a text, call, email it doesn't vibrate. The volume, power or camera buttons don't wake it up. The screen doesn't light up or the touch keys. Does anyone one of a solution or has seen this before? I still have a 60% battery so won't be able to try until tomorrow until the battery dies. Plugging it into USB, I can see the phone on the computer.

I find this annoying because:It would definately cause my battery to drainI don't really need to see the buttons lit alwaysI'm sure this is part of the latest software release for Nokia Lumia 900 is SW 2175.2301.8779.12223 because I restored to previous firmware and this issue wasn't present.

View 6 Replies View RelatedJust went to a local Rogers store here in Canada to buy a new Nokia Lumia 900 with my friend.I noticed the grey software keyboard of the 900 seems "pinker" than my 800 keyboard, that and some other things.I also noticed the hardware buttons backlight on the 900 seems to be more "yellow" and they are pure white on my 800. Yellow backlights doesnt look as good as the pure white backlight hardware buttons on my 800 in my opinion.

my phone was fully functional, until I dropped it off my bed, then stood on it getting up to get it off the floor, anywhoo, the screen had broke and only the three buttons on the bottom were working. I sent the phone off to be fixed and hey presto, I got a new fully functioning screen, but now the three buttons along the bottom do not work.

But when it is in music player mode they turn the volume up and down perfectly fine. Any ideas how to fix it or is a trip to Nokia Care needed? View 2 Replies View RelatedI am experiencing since yesterday a rather annoying thing on my HTC ONE 4.3 (unbranded). In some Sense apps (Gallery, Mail, Music, People) some on screen buttons have become unresponsive.
The "three dots" menu button on the top right side of the screen does not react, as well as the "share" icon in the Gallery app. Same problem with the three dots menu button on Mail, Music and People (these are the apps I tested so far).
Its started happening yesterday but I've been running 4.3 for a couple of weeks now. I have the feeling it might be a Sense 5.5 issue rather than a 4.3 bug, because it. only affects the original Sense apps, not any other app that I have downloaded.
After the upgrade to lollipop 5.11, my "back" and "recent/menu" buttons do not work. The do not light, nor do they do anything. I've tried the recommended display and power setting fixes, but they do not fix my phone. I've also done a factory reset, but the problem is still there, even in safe mode. Several apps I use a lot are now totally unusable because they don't have their own back and menu keys. Is there any answer outside of downgrading to 5.0?

i Can receive calls and when that happens I can access the settings field. I have turned off screen lock in the home to deplete the batter.
Seems like the brightness of the capacitive buttons on the Lumia 1520 with the Denim update stays on high. The buttons seem much brighter in low light. Is there a way to turn off or reduce the brightness for the buttons?
View 24 Replies View Relatedwhere the capacitive button LEDs seem to randomly turn on/off, or don't turn on in the dark, or seem to flicker for no apparent reason? We had the same issue with our 1020. It appears to be directly related to battery saver mode in settings. When we turn battery saver off, the LEDs seem to work perfectly. When battery saver is on, we experience all the above strange issues. We also have a 920, and battery saver mode does not affect the LEDs on the 920 at all, hence why we're hesitant to say with100% authority that this is the issue with the 1020.
View 10 Replies View RelatedRecently the back, and start buttons on my 1520 have not been turning on, or flickering. The search button has not shown any signs of the issue. The buttons still work, and have no functionality issues.
It started randomly, and I notice if I press on certain parts of the phone, the lights may go on or off. They may also go on or off of their own accord.
I had dropped my phone a few days prior, but there was no visible damage, and the issue was delayed.
I'm assuming this is a hardware issue and I would need to replace it in order to fix it, but are there other possibilities?
I have a Lumia 1520, and everything is awesome, but lately, the phone acts up in the way that the 3 buttons get pushed out of a sudden and screen becomes unresponsive, when not even holding the phone. Restarting works, but only for a period of time. I noticed if the place where the sensor is, near the earpiece, is clean, it does not act up like this. Phone was dropped once, but the problem did not appear util very later - 1-3 months. I used the Nokia Recovery Tool to install and re-install the OS, problem is still there.
