I am trying to sort my contacts in 'People' by Last Name, First without success. I have selected both 'Sort by Last Name', and 'Display names by Last, First' and the list still displays as 'First, Last'. I double-checked my entries to make sure they are correct (i.e. Last name is in fact in last name field).
View 2 RepliesI create a folder on my laptop an paste 50 photos in it. Then, I rename all photos with numbers 000-050. On my Windows laptop, the photos are sorted correctly (001, 002, 003, ... 049, 050).
However, after copying the entire folder to my 1020, some of the photos are not sorted correctly anymore. A few of them appear somewhere in the middle of my album (folder). The problem is on the phone only.When I connect the phone with my laptop, the photos in the folder (on the laptop) is shown correctly.
I am trying to sort my contacts by last name. Everything I try doesn'rt work!
View 4 Replies View RelatedWell on a call the other night I tried to access my contact list, it keep putting me back to the call screen, (caller id, speaker phone, mute, etc.) but no contact list icon, so you have to hit home, then people, then name , and open the contact to retrieve the number. tedious to say the least. and it's bad enough, but half way though the process it kicks back to the call screen, now its frustrating. I had to call them back.
I salved the problem by put my contacts in a folder on my start screen. simple enough , but I still had to open the folder, and each contact to retrieve the number. Well I was watching the folder cycle though the names, it came to me, why not add the number with the name , John 123-123-123, (if you want the number above the name add it first), now the live tile will cycle though showing the name and phone number, open up the folder and you get all the names with number in front of you.
After updating to Anna, the songs are all messed up - songs from various artistes are separated from the main album especially soundtrack from movies albums. I wish Nokia could look into this issue and hope that there is a sorting options - eg. sort by albums, artistes, names...

Calendar widget will display only low priority tasks. That's stupid.You need options for task sorting or some "algorithm" for sorting that will take priority into account.

View 6 Replies View RelatedNow, I turn on internet sharing with my Lumia 900 and it simply does not appear in my WiFi networks list on my iPad, MacBook Pro and iMac (OSX 10.7.4) or my Lenovo G575 (Win7 x64).I try to manually connect in both OSX and Windows but it either causes the trouble shooting wizard to appear (Windows) or throws an error saying either the network does not exist or the connection has timed out (OSX/iPad).
When I first got the phone the beginning of June, I was able to tether to my computer at work whilst the internet was down (Fujitsu Lifebook, Win7 Pro x64) - I did this twice without a problem and was able to get on the net (I'll actually check this still works tomorrow; if it doesn't then it may be a hardware issue).
I have had the phone for a week or two now and every now and again my contact list deletes several contacts, and I do not know why. It also on a number of occassions adds several contacts from my email account and I have no idea why? and to top things of, yesterday it duplicated most of my contact list. Is it something im doing by accident?

On my old Nokias it was possible to view the contact list with both the name and number of each contact when looking at the contact list i.e. When sending a SMS. Is it possible on the E72 to display the number too? At the moment all I can see is the name. I have had a quick look around the menus and couldn't find it anywhere.

Although I find it functional and overall it looks well, I'd like to know if this can be turn off. The only downside I see is that I find myself scrolling down a for longer period of time.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a really weird and annoying problem with my Lumia 800.Pretty much it starts with this:The phone totally random powers off, it wont start until i put the charger in (even if the battery really is at 40% or more).After that whenever I receive a text message (sms and mms) it won't be listed in the messaging conversation. I only see the last sms I sent/got after the phone powered off, new messages is listed in the notification window, but only there. Sending new messages works, but they won't either be listed..So I can't really read my new texts other than in the notification window that pops up when I get a new one.Deleting all my messages doesn't solve it, restarting the phone doesn't either.

Currently, my menu list is just a list--no letter headings, so you can't push on say, S, and zip down to the S apps. (Kind of how you find people on the Facebook app.)I am not articulating this well, but do you know if there is a way to jump to a particular letter in the 920? Does anyone know why and how I can re establish it? Its such a quicker way of access contacts than pressing contact key.
I find that I call and message the same people more regularly than the rest of my phonebook. As such, I believe it would be much easier to have a "Favorites" or a "Recently Used" section at the start of my phonebook to quickly find my most commonly contacted friends.
The "Recently Used" section could be similar to how Microsoft Word works where it saves your last 10 used fonts at the top of the menu when you click to change the font of your text. How do I go about suggesting this to Nokia to update their software?
Can anyone assist with resolving the problem I have with downloading of the contacts list from a Samsung Galaxy Gio to the CK-200? I also find it strange that when pairing the devices, the phone does not request the code 0000 that is displayed by the CK-200.The other problem experienced is the breaking up of the incoming callers voice and a loud humming noise.The CK-200 has V4.0 software.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new problem to update with FP2. Suddenly last evening I noticed that all my contacts are showing as unnamed, although their details are intact. Just the names are missing. The whatsapp favorites/contacts list looks fine and the contact search before making a call is also identifying the contacts. The names have disappeared only from the master contacts list. I tried doing the usual restart couple of times.Also did a Nokia sync but the issue hasn't been resolved. I'm worried about restoring the backup lest the problem remains.

I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. View 9 Replies View RelatedLove the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!

At first when I would add a new contact it would save to my contacts list & being that I have my google account connected it would save it there as well.
