Are there any known issues with Nokia Messaging on an E71 and the recent Firmware v4 upgrade? I recently upgraded to Firmware v400.21.0013 on my Nokia E71. After the upgrade, I can no longer view my Gmail account via Nokia Messaging the front screen.
View 4 RepliesI am wandering if nokia employee can assist to delete my nokia messaging accounts. I registered two accounts by using a Gmail and a Hotmail address. But now I want to delete them for a future registration, in which I would combine these two accounts.
I am sincerely someone can help me to solve the issue.
Since downloading the new Nokia Messaging client 10.2.0.4 (Main) on my N97 Mini (11.0.045) it refuses to sync with my gmail account (it worked prior to downloading the new client via Software update on the phone).
I've tried changing the "When to Sync" setting to soonest or 15 mins etc but that makes no difference.If I change the access point it will open a connection (which it wont have done until this point) but still no sync. It never seems to close the connection, unless the phone is rebooted.Anyone have the new messaging client working ?
I have a Nokia E71 just update to the firmware 410.21.010. I did not recovered backup after the upgrade and I formatted the memory card, so it's completely clean.
Now, Nokia Email has appear as new included application so I would like to use it, but when I configure my email account (form a supported services: ovi, gmail, etc...), the wizard only configures my mobile for the typical IMAP client. It's strange, because I have a different E71 also update to this same firmare and Nokia Messaging works fine and creates the Nokia Messaging account.How could use Nokia Messaging with my E71?. Is there some way to create a Nokia Messaging account form the web instead from the phone?.
I have installed Nokia messaging on my nokia E72 and I have some problems setting my gmail account to work in push mode.
In particular, I would like that my gprs/umts internet connection doesn't stay always active.
When a new mail arrives to the server, server sends a notification to my E72, and E72 automatically connects to internet to download the new mail but after this, connections still remains active.
Is it possibile to turn off internet connection as soon as nokia messaging finishes to download new mail? I don't want connections remains always active as in blackberries smartphones, is it possibile or what I want is only a dream?
I have Nokia Messiging installed on my e71x and it's been working fine until about a month ago. I can no longer get my Gmail account at all. When I try adding the account it takes me through all the steps but at the end of it there is no Gmail Icon and it isn't in the settings page either. Why doesn't Gmail work anymore?
View 6 Replies View RelatedFor the past 3 months, my Nokia messaging is not SYNC automatically again from my Nokia E71-1.Yesterday I tried to firmware upgrade my E71-1 (to latest firmware ver 410.21.010); and install Nokia Messaging from OVI store.And then after 1st sync, all my emails coming back up (which is great); but then I have to sync manually to get the latest email.Currently I have 5 emails account inside my Nokia messaging account (they are 2xGmail, Yahoo and other 2 from my local ISP).

Subscription status Active
My server settings:
- Server name: netac5.vie.hosting.no... (unable to read the rest text)
- Send and Receive: Soonest (I've changed to "every 15 minutes"; still the email not sync'ed automatically)

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have Nokia E71 with latest NMessaging (9.06.24) installed. It worked like a charm for the last 1.5 months but on Feb. 5 Inbox stopped syncing. I have the only mailbox on Gmail connected. The connection icon is green and round as it is supposed to be. Manual Sync clicking does the icon rolling and then nothing happens. My new incoming emails are not in the list. Sent folder is synced just fine. Previous e-mails also work perfectly as I can download truncated messages and attachments. Gmail's own app works perfectly and downloads all new messages.
Nokia, what happened? If you intended Eseries as a Blackberry competitor it is the worst move to disregard the key functionality like emails.Also I purposefully don't want to reinstall anything. Why should I? It is a branded service that must work without "surgery" of any kind. How I can rely on such service that giving no warning just stops working.
You should concentrate on this very important issue and provide you official solution.

I've had my 5800 for a couple of weeks now and when I got it I set up my gmail account with the built in email client under messaging. Everything was working fine. Since yesterday I have not been able to get any new emails to show up on my phone. I've deleted and re-added the mail box and old messages show up and I can view older emails but no new ones? I've checked all of my gmail settings, and I do in fact have new emails sitting there but no joy.

Now when I subscribe again using the same mail Id, and changed password, the system registers me, but when I try to log in to manage my account, it does not accept my new password, and asks me to log in using the password which I used when I first registered. Even after supplying that password, it does not allow me to log in and show up the following message:"We are unable to process your request at this time. Try again later."
recently when I send email from my E72 I get a duplicate message appearing in my 'all mail' in gmail with (unknown sender) as well as the one I sent.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was a very happy user of E71 and Nokia Messaging until I decided to upgrade to fw 410. Because it broke the Internet connections, I had to reconfigure my phone from scratch (thanks for that) including a new version of Nokia Messaging (9.07). Because it didn't want to configure my gmail account (it took forever to validate or connect to server), I figured I could remove my Nokia Email account and reactivate it again. I disabled trial and I cannot reenable it back - I can log in to email.nokia.com website, but I cannot remove or add new email accounts there. If I try to register, after I give my phone number, website advises me to download Nokia Messaging from my phone again.
How to reactivate my Nokia Messaging account? How to set up my email again?

Everything, including the Gmail access was working perfectly until yesterday when I installed the firmware update.I am just curious, how could a reputable company like Nokia release such a **bleep** firmware update? Or this is what we suppose to be getting with this free amature software?

While experimenting with adding accounts, I inadvertantly added two ovi.com accounts to the preinstalled "Messaging" application. One is listed as ovi.com and the other is listed as ovi.com01. There seems to be no way to delete or undo those accounts on the phone. At the very least, I wish to delete the ovi.com01. Does anyone have any suggestions that don't include reformatting the phone? I really don't have the time or patience for that. I've already put way too much time in removing AT&T crapware and rearranging program folders/icons.

I know this because I was able to use another (old) Hotmail account on the device but when I try and set up my current Hotmail account I get problems.

Recently performed a firmware update and hard reset on my 5800 and all looked bright until tried using the email function. Despite having "Nokia messaging" installed I cant get any account to use it, all accounts (not just the 2 assocated with the account) are added to the default message folders, instead being handled by Nokia messaging. Also a friend unhelpfully now cancelled my "Nokia Email" account associated with the email addresses in an effort to help. There any way to reactivate this account?

Everytime I attempt to, it either refuses to acknowledge I have an account (when I know for a fact that I do), then when I try again it will sign me in (if I persevere enough). But if I try to remove an email address or update a password it will take me to this page saying.The page cannot be displayed.The destination server could not be reached.Anyone else having this problem or is it just me? How do I go about resetting my account if I can't get into the Nokia Messaging website to do it myself?

View 4 Replies View Related1. autofit-to-screen web text.you zoom in more, the text wont fit in the screen, you have to scroll right and left to read.double-taps are almost useless, as although it zooms in to fit the screen, most cases texts are still too small to read.learn from HTC's android devices.
2. sort-by-alphabet bookmarks, is it there ? if not, please make it so, cant believe such function is not available.
3. "true" desk-top browser. try cnbc.com, it'll take you to the "mobile" version instead of the full-web/desktop verson. i cant remember a couple of other sitest, but cnbc is one of them as i follow news quiet closely.
4. being an internet device, it must give you unparalleled user-friendliness, which fixing the first 3 above would. of course people may have other feedback other than browsing experience, but like i said, being a browser device, browsing experience is paramount
I was just wondering .. my N97 was bought for me as a present and i use a 02 pay as u go simcard in it .. does this delay me from recieving updates etc? my SW update doesnt show any firmware upgrade and also neither does *#0000# current firmare version is 20.0.019 and my product code is 0587691 .. with these details can anybody on here find out when the newer firmware is going to be available for this batch please? if possible ? i have a problem with my gps not being able to keep up or locate me 130m from where i am and i want to update the firmware before getting a new gps chip fitted.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am unable to add my Yahoo email account using the Nokia Messaging Mobile Email <https://netac72.vie.hosting.nokia.com/account/home.action> I was able to use it before and I canceled my subscription in yahoo because I signed up a new subscription using my Gmail account and it works with the Gmail. however, when I try to add another email account again which is my yahoo mail, it won't work with my yahoo mail anymore. Where using the Nokia Messaging you can add up to 10 email accounts. When I click the button that says ADD ANOTHER, it will lead you to the page where you ad your other email accounts and that email add must already exist, but after i fill up the box typing the correct existing yahoo email add, my correct yahoo password, and after clicking NEXT button, it just doesn't get across. the error shows "This email address must be added on the phone". So, i added my yahoo mail on my phone using the Email setting wizard on my Nokia E72 with the correct email ad and password. After adding it on my phone, I tried to do it again on the Nokia messaging Site and did it all over agin. And still it won't work on my yahoo. I still get the same ERROR!

I have a Nokia Messaging account that I created during the first appear of Nokia Messaging service and now with Movistar Spain subscription. In my account I have 2 Google Mail Accounts (Normal and Apps), a MobileMe account and Yahoo IMAP (spanish address) account.
All the accounts work correctly except Yahoo account. What happen? That I have emails in the inbox of mail mobile 3 days old, the old emails from third day suddenly became unreaded, I open to read, and are marked as read, but after some time (30min, 1hour) or some time like this became unreaded suddenly. For example today some emails, in the case of today 15 emails from 13th of january became unread again again and again.
It's annoying because with this behaviour there's no way to know how really new emails you have and also for every time the email is marked as unread the mobile spend time and battery notifying me. There's someone else that has this problem? Any propose or solution?
I try to delete the Yahoo account in my Nokia Messaging account and create a new one with the address, but the problem come back again and again. A solution could be to classify all the email every day in folders keeping my Inbox of Yahoo account in server clean, but there's some day that I have no time to do this work.

Since upgrading, I can no longer connect the PC and phone by USB. Bluetooth works fine for the record. Tried some obvious troubleshooting - e.g. reinstall drivers and Nokia software, restart PC and phone.

My previous phone was a trusty 6230i so this is bit of step up for me!So far I've found I can upgrade the firmware to 31. but not 40. I would consider debranding the phone if this is recommended.
