I have an E51 connected to Windows 7 Home Premium using Ovi Suite 2.2.0.241. Every time I connect to the Internet, a new network is created in Windows (called "Nokia E51 USB Modem (Nokia Ovi Suite) 2", 3, 4, etc.) and I'm asked whether it's a Home, Work, or Public network.Why isn't the same network reused? I didn't have this problem with PC Suite.

My n86 8MP are trying to connect to a network ALL the time. Even when i have turned of to NEVER at Tools, Connection Wireless LAN, and Internet connection test.There is no program open i background either.What can that be? Could it be my Email program Check interval? Even if the email program are totally closed?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using Incredible S and every time when I have to connect to 3G network, I have to restart my phone. Earlier it used to connect automatically when there is no active WiFi connection but after some time I had to disable Mobile Network and enable once again.
Later this workaround stopped working and I had to use Enable WiFi Hotspot but now only option is to restart the phone. After restarting it works perfectly fine but once it gets disconnected I have to restart once again.
I remember one of my friend is also facing the same problem. how to get this fixed or is it a problem with Android 2.3?
One thing which may help in debugging when I disable or enable Mobile network, it happens in a fraction of second. I do not get a message "Turning on..." or "Turning off..."
I recently bought an unlocked Lumia 900 in Australia and run it on the Telstra Network. I find it very irritating that the phone has no facility for date and time to be set from the network, particularly as my Lumia 800 did have this facility, as have alll my smartphones for the last few years, including iPhones and various flavours of Android phones, all on the Telstra network. Why does the Lumia 900 not have this facility as it is definitely supported both by the Telstra network and by the previous Lumia 800. It also doesnt help that the Lumia 900 is very inaccurate without this facility. It is beyond belief that the phone does not have what I consider to be basic, taken for granted functionality.

Others have reported that hard resetting the device only lasts momentarily and that the bug is pretty fatal.
My Device Time and network time are different by a couple of minutes. My friends BB is different by about 1 hour.

Is there a reason for this? I would have thought that all networks would broadcast time and that all phones would be able to receive it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI logged on to the work wifi with my 5800 some time ago.Ever since I've had the phone I've struggled to get the Nokia browser to automatically connect to the Orange Internet (3G) access point.Instead it always prompts"Select Connection" and I have the options "Search for WLAN", "Internet" or "Uncategorised".Internet always used to be "Orange Internet" but now the default is "Internet - <my work> wifi".
This would be fine if I only used the phone for internet at work, but obviously I do not.Can anyone tell me how to put it back to having "Orange Internet" as the default, and ideally connecting automatically without the prompt.I've found under settings>general>accesspoint you can set it to either "Always ask" "Internet" or Uncategorised" but as "Internet" is currently set as my work wifi, this isn't an option.

I have tried everything I can think of. I am using a Linksys WAG160N modem router running WEP encryption.
I know the WEP key (because I made it) so I know it is correct, but the phone always says that the password is incorrect.
I have a Nokia 700. Upgraded to 112.010.1404 via Nokia Suite as soon as I got it. I have set my WiFi network as the highest priority. I can connect to my WiFi network, yet after a while of inactivity the phone starts using 3G data again. I go into the WiFi networks and see that my network is listed as "Known" but not "Connected". I have to manually select it to re-connect.Power saving mode for WiFi is set to off.Is there a setting to automatically connect to any known WiFi network when in range? I am happy to manage battery life by manually turning ove WiFi when not needed.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen my Lumia is connected to the car via bluetooth, its connected with both audio profiles, Voice (Phone Call Audio) and Music (A2DP).So when connected and Nokia Drive is running the audio is sent to A2DP to then be sent to the aux input of the car stereo. This is all well and good if you have the radio on and AUX selected. But if you are listening to FM radio or a CD etc you don't hear any voice guidance from Nokia Maps.
This is a question directed at Nokia Maps Developers. Can a setting be created that allows you to select audio output via bluetooth? If you could select it to go via the Voice/Phone call Profile, like for instance the Speech input works on Windows Phone, for reading/replying to text messages, then when ever there is a direction to be spoken, the car bluetooth would treat it as a phone call, cut sound to the radio and speak the direction through the speakers no matter what the radio was outputting.If the above doesn't make sense then please ask me as this would be a worth while setting to be developed.
I know that I have a seen post on here regarding this but I can't find it. Sometime since Dec when I last left my time zone my BB has stopped updating using the network as the source.

I have seen people having several problems with sync'ing. My problem is probably a variation of the basic underlying problem.I got my Motoactv a couple of days ago. I did a workout, and then tried to sync it wirelessly. I tried several times, but each time it gave me a network error. So then I connected the device to the computer via USB and the sync was successful.The next day, I did a couple of workouts. This time both the wireless and USB syncs failed numerous times. After reading several other posts, I did a factory reset.I then did a workout, and tried the wireless sync, and that failed. I didn't try the USB sync at that time. I went to bed, and when I got up this morning, Motoacdtv said that the sync was successful. So sometime during the night, the wireless sync occurred. I then did another workout today, and then did a USB sync which was successful. Another workout, and then the wireless sync (without intervention) worked.
