Does firmware roll out depend on networks? I've read that 21.0.004 is now available for the 5230, but my phone isn't detecting it either through ovi or from the phone itself.
I'm on virgin in the UK.
Swing the "8" with the phone but nothing has changed.The compass circle is red.I tried it outdoors, away from any electrical appliances or or any large metal objects. When I bought e52, it was working but now it isn't working. Does it may from mechanic problem. What does the digital compass depend for right direction. Do I must any nokia service. please help me.

View 1 Replies View Relatedfew days back i bought my first BB ( Curve 8520) & activated BSNL (India) BIS LITE Plan (unlimited e-mail access only, no browser, no social networks etc. ) which is perfect for my needs.My problem is i can't get BIS data services over wifi - white dash indication instead of green check in front of wifi connection option, no e-mail over wifi, only browsing is possible. As my office is basement where GSM Signal aren't available, I am badly in need of BIS over Wifi.
I tried very thing given in the various forms from device wipe, wifi diagnostics, bb ip pinging, telneting, HRT WIFI 60 registration to hard reset etc. many times & also did talked to Customer Care a lot but couldn't get my problem solved.
After all communications BSNL Customer Care finally told me that I can access BIS Services Over Wifi only if I take BIS Unlimited Plan (which is 3 times costlier than my current one & quite unnecessary for my needs) & with my current Plan I can't access BIS over Wi-Fi.This makes no sense, basically I don't believe this, never read or heard anywhere. BB document mentioned below regarding accessing blackberry data services through wifi doesn't mention any caveat like this
Just "upgraded" my Palm Pre for a iPhone 4 and going crazy trying figure out how to move my pictures out of the photo roll and into different albums. From what I have tried it seems making different albums only tags the photo but doesn't actually move it. Any suggestions as to how I can have pictures in different albums without them staying in the photo roll also? Do I need to use an app to be able to do this?

Hi, I have nokia 5800 Xpressmusic and I have problem with my wifi. I recently bought it and I cant get wifi networks on the same place that I got 5 networks with my old phone nokia e51. At home I could get 5 networks in my building and now with my nokia 5800 I can't get any of this. It says network not found, my neighbor have a wifi router and with my nokia e51 I had 100% signal now i have (some times) only 20% on the samo place that I had 100%. Can anybody tell me what is the problem???

My AP uses static IP address, and it is setup correct also the phone, but when I want to connect to internet by native browser, system shows error(translated to English) "invalid server name", it shows in others applications too but there was different errors names depending on application. I can only get access to my router, access point and devices connected to internal network(behind router like PC's, laptops or others), in public places like schools or government institutions I don't have troubles with connecting to internet. Error is occurred only in my and some of my friends private networks. I am sure that's my phone is setup correct, because in this same configuration laptop is working. Why I can't connect with external network?

I still can`t connect to my initial network as the wep key is still incorrect but i can connect to 01 and 02. I would like to delete Name and Name01 networks from my list. I have a Bell Blackberry Bold 9700 and I just switch to Rogers! Would it be *better if I flash the rogers firmware on the phone, or leave it with the bell firmware? Lost all the home page functions like apps and options and would default to the menu screen and whilst trying to connect back to PC Suite to try and re run it now has frozen in the "Nokia" Loading screen. To my disappointment, I don't see what was improved from 20.x.x version. And to make things even more disappointing, gapless playback is still not a function I can turn on.SERIOUSLY!It is 2010. Can we get gapless music playback functionality in the music player? Or is live music something Finnish people don't listen to? I cannot imagine that I'm the only person in the world who thinks this is an important function in a music player. Am I?!?

I've read that there is a firmware upgrade that would allow me to use the new Ovi maps with free driving directions and various other nice tweaks and so on to make the phone much more reliable. I'm locked in to 3 at the moment - and I could unlock from them for a £15 fee - but I don't know whether this will then allow me to upgrade the firmware to the latest verision?
