Nokia :: Checking Credit Balance On Pay As You Go With N900
Feb 24, 2010
i am finding it impossible to check my credit balance and load a recharge credit card with *556# and *555*pin code# as we do on MTN Nigeria. Anyone with a solution,
Have you used the following key combination in N900? If the number begins with * and ends with #, its NOT recognized as a valid number. Instead I receive a message "Incorrect Number".The problem is this. My mobile service provider has given me a number to check my balance and last 3 call charges by dialing the following numbers:
*142#
*143#
But the above numbers are identified to be invalid in Nokia N900.
I can login to my mobile bank website, but when I try to get my balance I get nothing. My banks IT department said if I can access it via my PC using the same address and all comes up good, then I need to speak with my carrier. Knowing the tools I'll end up getting if I call Sprint, I figured someone here with a lot more intelligence than any CS might be able to point to the right direction. I'm sure it some security setting that I don't have right, just find it odd that I can get that far into the site with no issues.
Yesterday, I made up 5 cards to my friends. And then I hit buy now. This morning, I received 5 emails. All of them are from Apple, each one cost $5.79 but when I check my Visa balance, there are two more cost each one $2.81. I was ready to send another card to my mom, but now I can't. Who knows what's going on? Can I get the extra cost back?
I have a client who says she is unable to either check her account balance or load a recharge voucher. when she types for example *556#, she gets an "invalid number" response.
I am having a problem in N900 when i try to check my credit with *222# it gives me incorrect number, i bought it from UAE and i am using it in brazil can anyone help?
I need help for this issue when I am trying to get balance from my mobile by dialing *129# /*130# in my phone at Qatar (qtel- service provider), no response, then i followed steps provided here and downloaded ussd pad editor & tried in it but the editor gets hanged & no response.
I just got a lumia 800 today and man i am blown away by both nokia and windows phone 7.5 Anyways, I am facing a problem: I use a prepaid sim and on my other previous phones, after each call/sms i used to get a automatic message regarding the amount used in the last call/sms and the remaining balance for my prepaid sim. But now on my lumia 800 i am not getting those messages after the call/sms.
Problem with fixed white balance modes on the 808's camera. I had expect some variations in auto white balance, but not with a fixed white balance setting. The same variations appear when tungsten white balance is selected.

i realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.
I just bought a Nokia phone and downloaded the PC Suite.I wanted to put some music in my phone so I tried downloading OVI but it always stops while 'checking for updates'. It says that there's a problem with the internet connection on my computer. I've never had this kind of trouble before.
How do we find the missed call or new SMS when the screen is off? Manual checking frequently is not good option. Many people suggested in internet forums to make use of the middle window like touch key, such way that the touch switch can Illuminate or blink in such circumstance. If the battery is the concern, there can be a configuration option too, to set the blinking frequency , light intensity , etc.
I'm having problems connecting OVI to a Nokia N8-00 handset via Bluetooth. The Add New Device wizard is able to detect the phone but when selecting it from the list and proceeding it stays on "Checking the Bluetooth capabilities of your device." for some 20 seconds after which it eventually fails with the error of "Failed to connect to your device. Problems occurred while authorizing the Bluetooth connection between your device and computer."
I've verified that both devices are configured as authorized by their respective counterpart. Also tried to remove the pairing from both the laptop and phone and re-pair them again - same problem. I am able to sync the phone with OVI via USB no problem. I am also able to use my OVI with another Nokia phone (E72) via Bluetooth without any issues. This points me to a possible problem with Bluetooth on the N8 phone itself but I don't have any way to prove it.
It's been a while since I've made use of Nokia store, and now once again I wanted to download some music and what emerges: my credit of almost 80 euro is all gone. I feel pretty cheated at nokia I now suddenly have nothing anymore. Thought my money was safe with you?
A day or two after the upgrade to firmware v40 I noticed that the phone doesn't disconnect from my WiFi connection after checking email. Previously WiFi would disconnect after it was done checking email. This happens for more than one WiFi destination (home & work), and I have verified that the connection's advanced settings do show that power saving mode is ON.
I've verified that there are no apps running in the b/g that requires connection, and if I manually disconnect the WiFi connection, then it stays disconnected until the next time the email check runs, at which point it does not disconnect automatically.

After buying several apps in the Ovi Store using my credit card I was really surprised that Ovi Store does no longer accept my credit card because I'm not living in the US! (I'm requested to fill in a US address otherwise I cannot proceed.)
I logged into my ovi store account today to discover my remaining credit all gone - abut £15. The has also happened to my hubby's account so that's at least £30 missing. So when I try to contact Ovi Store about this, well I've more chance of going to moon! What an utter disgrace the so called customer services is for Ovi store. Absolutely pages and and pages of FAQs that are not even helpfully organized. All I want is a SIMPLE and PROMINENTLY DISPLAYED telephone number and email address with which to make contact. Why does this appalling company take money from people, allow it to then vanish from accounts and then not give people the simple option of reporting it.
I have a US based credit card and I'm located in the US. All of my account info is updated with my latest address and credit card info. I can't seem to purchase anything in the store with a credit card. When I click on buy it brings up the message "Sorry. Credit Cards are not allowed at this store."
is there any way of permanently turning off the sound for a balance update after texting from C3-01, without affecting the sound/alarm for any normal incoming texts?
when playing back music I'd like to adjust the balance either through the hardware/software of the iPhone 4s or through an app. I do not wish to use an external headphone balance adapter?
Been getting balance notifications every 15 minutes. I am on roaming, have been using Wifi, BIS (only BBM) is activated. This didn't happen 2 days back.
i have unlimited blackberry data plan. the other day i watchd a video on Internet. since then my balance is deducting on data usage. i called the customer care, they said it was because i activated network browser on opening Internet instead of blackberry browser.
I don't know what can be done but the white balance is off for indoor shots, they are more like a sunset color than ambient! Is there a way to adjust the white balance?
