Nokia :: Auto Profiles Not Working?

Auto Profiles does not work for me. I have upgraded my firmware to ver 23.When reached out to Nokia Email Care - receive a strange reply pasted at bottom. I fail to understand when the App has been provided by Nokia and why they are suggesting that the app is not recommended !Follow up on Telephone at Nokia Care - i am recommended to uninstall the app & buy it from the ovi store!Can someone help ? The profiles button on my phone keeps stopping working, it wont respond when I click on it. Ive tried the small button on the home screen and the larger button on the menu, this has happened before but usually starts working agan after about an hour but it hasn't been working for a full day. It definitely isn't my scroller button as it is able to select everything else.

just downloaded the update Nokia released. After the update, I noticed when I unlock the phone, the screen is nice and bright but then it goes a bit dark. Appears the auto brightness control is no longer working correclty.

I got a problem with the N8's camera. It seems that the auto-focus does not work at all. This issue applies for videos and still pictures.It did work however once. But somehow not anymore and i did not change anything related to settings and neither did i update/install any software.I already had to reset the phone to factory defaults once since the "keylock button" refused to lock my phone when i slided it. This works now, but then again, the camera appears to be broken.

As soon as I updated phone to latest firmware, auto rotate stopped working. Previous firmware I had was v21. I made update through Nokia Ovi Suite. I tried several methods to restore auto rotate:
1. restore factory settings (soft reset)
2. unmark auto rotate, restart, mark auto rotate
3. removing battery for few minutes
4. finally tried hard reset
And auto rotate is still not working. Is there anything else that can be done to enable auto rotate again?

I got a Nokia 5233.2 days ago, I noticed that the Auto Rotate Screen is not working again.It was working fine all the time.I checked the settings, Sensor is activated, and also Auto-rotate screen is checked, but it's not working.

I've recently bought a brand new Nokia 5800 with latest firmware version 50. but after few days i had two problems with it.
1. Sometimes display auto rotate function not working..
2. Touch screen sensibility too poor....
i did hard reset too.... still have problems

My N82 while taking pictures focuses properly in macro mode. (Green rectangular box). Other than macro mode I can see only red rectangular box (indicating improper focus?) and the photo seems to be blurred. Macro mode photos seems to be good. Even if I put camera settings to 'Auto' I am getting red rectangular box most of the times instead of green. Software or hardware fault?

A friend gave me his E72, but when I put my sim into it I found I was still receiving his email on the business profile. It had also updated his contacts on his new phone with mine.How do I remove the profile and stop the connection between mine and his phone? Any help would be appreciated as we both really need to get this fixed.

Is it possible to get the E72 to change its profile from meeting to general to silent at certain times during the day? As in, can I have it silent from 10pm-8am every day and then on general from 8am-10am and then meeting from 10am-5pm?

Quick question - is there are an app for having more than the 2 standard profiles on the n900?I'm asking as I am finding it quite annoying with my phone Device locking the screen after 5 minutes idle while I am driving, thereby preventing me from being able to change tracks that are playing through my car. If there is a way that I can have a CAR profile that keeps the screen lit permanently and turns off the Device Lock, so I can just select that profile and not have to change each setting all the time, it would be great!Does anyone know such a utility? I have two Nokia phones - one is mine and one is my partners. Both phones sync with OVI suite but I want to keep two separate profiles. When my phone is synced all my contacts are mixed up with my partners' and vice versa.

I have new Lumia 920. Still very nice. But, missing the 'Profiles' from N8, and other older Nokia phones. Creating my own and the time function on the profiles. Let one profile be valid until, lets say 20:30. But most just missing the profile function.

I have set a standard ringtone via Profiles / General / Ringing Tone. The phone will not use this ringtone , so I went to Settings / General /Personalisation / Tones / ringing tone and if I make this tone same as Profiles then all my calls go to Voicemail. What am I doing wrong ?

I got this Nokia 500XM phone and when I want to change the ringtone in the profiles it takes ages and just has the scroling bar with opening at the top. I have found a cumbersome work around and that is to take out the memory card but then that just mean I have to stick with the pre-installed ones or copy the selected mp3 file to the phone memory. Is there any way to cut down this wait when I have the memory card inserted? - I wonder if I have added all my mp3 songs to the right folder on the memory card I think I put them in the Music (E: 8gb memory) folder on the memory card I wonder if this is whats causing the problem should they be in another folder? its an 8gb card with 3404mb (3.4gb) and 325 songs or more.

Is it possible to create a "profile" (or similar) which lets the phone recognise that it is plugged in (or perhaps paired with an incar bluetooth device) and therefore over-rides the keyguard behaviour? When I'm driving I use the 5230 as a music player, and it is very frustrating that it locks in the same way as it does when it is in my pocket.I always have the 5230 plugged in / charging to an in-car charger when I'm in the car, so having the screen permanently lit would be good.I can't see a way of making the screensaver / keyguard change depending on profiles. Perhaps there is an app that does it?

1) When I send emails without attachment, the auto signature works.
2) When I send emails with attachment, the auto signature doesn't work.

Didn't think I would be back so fast, but I have another issue that suddenly started happening.
My auto-rotate stopped working. Was working fine the last 24 hours, give or take. Which is the duration of how long I've had the device.
I checked all the settings, and googled around, so I restarted my phone, now it works again.

I have the TMobile S6 variant that I've had for about 6 months or so and noticed a few weeks back that that auto brightness does not work. it stays very very low even in very bright settings, I always have to go in a manually change th3 screen brightness. Is there a fix for this in an update or something because I seem to be the only one with an S6 having the issue although it has been reported for the Edge only.

I posted this elsewhere earlier today and I think it was in the wrong place. Anyway, I've had my one x about 3 weeks and now the auto rotate has stopped working. The "auto rotate" box is checked and I've tried the "G-Sensor calibration". When I try this, the levels "jiggle" and then I get a message "Calibration aborted"

I have a problem after updating to v. 7.1.0.342.After the update everything was fine. Now about a week later the auto rotate does not work any longer.I have removed the battery for a restart but i am still having the same problem .When i pay a game like Angry Pigs (That rotate the screen) it stays that way untill I slide open the phone.

Since my last software update my G Sensor has stopped working, and as a result, my screen will not auto rotate. The top G sensor level (horizontal) is stuck to the far left but the bottom one works.

Had my SII for 3 days now and am loving it but as of 2 hours ago my screen will no longer auto-rotate.
Earlier, via orange swapables, I was watching skysports with the screen held horizontally with no problems at all. Even after that I was sending a message using swype (what a cool feature by the way), holding it horizontally.
Since then I've not been able to rotate the screen. It is set to on via the notifications panel and under the settings menu.
I've put a new Case Mate Tough Case on as of this morning but was watching the football after I had put the case on. I have since tried removing the case to see if it works without, but with no luck.
I've checked the firmware and stuff and am running all the latest versions.
I've done the keypad *#0*# and checked the sensor test page, accelerometer, gyroscope sensor and magnetic sensor are showing different figures as I move the phone around but the image test does not rotate.
Under settings > display I've ran the calibration tests and they all ran fine.

I first discovered that the camera is locked on fixed focus about a week ago when I tried to take a picture of a barcode. The camera takes good pictures as long at the subject is atleast 2' away. This camera actually does not auto focus or focus at all (do some tests yourself). The irony is that there is a "macro" mode under the scenes setting but that does not help either. I called Motorola and they seem to be aware that their phone which is advertised as having auto focus does not actually focus. They have no estimate on a fix for this problem.

This is on a brand new Xoom 3G + WiFi. The auto dimming backlight does not dim automatically. The slider works, but "auto" setting does not.
