Jan 3, 2012My 5800 with Danish firmware 60.0.003.273.03 loses the sound in the two "external" speakers. (Playing music or using navigation with voice command).When I restart then the sound comes back, but disappears again after awhile.

Feb 19, 2010I've been having a problem with my memory card recently.
If I restart my phone with the memory card inserted, my phone just hangs on the Nokia white screen and does nothing, but upon removal of the card it starts up fine...
After the phone starts up, I usually re-insert said memory card and everything works fine untill now, after inserting the card, my phone jams up and won't respond to button presses or screen touches....
I've removed the faulty memory card from the phone and done a chkdisk on it, with Windows doing all the repairs to the corrupted files and reinserted it but it still jams the phone up whenever I insert it....
Did a hard reset on my phone and reinserted my card and now it's stuck at a dialogue box thats says : Installing
Are there any ways that I could get it working again without loosing important data on the memory card?

Mar 29, 2010I'm comparing to my 5530, On the contacts bar it nicely blends into the back ground, on the 5800 is a dirty oversized white block with the contact in the middle, no blending in or anything, same on the email, a horrible big white square, nothing blended in, I've tried different themes, and reflashed but no good.

I'm originally from the middle east and I need to write in Arabic when I chat or send messages. the problem here is that the phone reads Arabic but I can't write in Arabic. my question is "Could I use firmware of Nokia 5800 (RM-356) on Nokia 5800 (RM-428)?
If not, could anyone help me and get me the firmware that support writing in Arabic?

Aug 8, 2010I've just updated my E71 software today and thereafter the quickoffice is unable to restart. Whenever the icon is activated, it goes into the office main menu for just 2 seconds, then it's out to the phone's main menu again. I did not have this problem previously when I updated the phone software. Anybody out there able to help?

Feb 11, 2010I'm not sure that it will work with all people (It's working fine with me till now . So I'm sharing the solution with all of you). It's a very stupid problem, while you are using your mobile suddenly it shows some blue & red lines then it shutdown and start again. And it happens randomly. And every day it happens many times. I tried to format the mobile (soft & Hard) and reinstall the F/W. But chanchan05 advised to check the mass memory. I did it. And it's working fine with me till now. And till now my mobile did not restarted itself for three days. WOW

1-connect your N97 to the PC (Mass storage mode)
2-Go to my Computer right click laaaaast option (properties)

After doing a lot of thing I found that problem is due to INTERNET Connectivity. May 4, 2010I've been using Nokia E72 for about 9 months now and no major issues. I have set up my official email using IMAP option and have been using it without any problem. Today when after sync of my mailbox , I was trying to read few emails. It was taking long time to open the email and later I it was hanging. I had to restart the phone and to my surprise the mailbox disappeared. I tried restarting the phone several times, but my mailbox is gone. I also moved all emails from my server INbox from my laptop email client to local folders. But still the mailbox on phone is not coming up.I do not want to do hard reset of the phone and I want to know if its okay to set up a new mailbox on the phone. WIll it cause any issues ?

Dec 10, 2010I have another annoying adventure with N8. It was turned off, charging via USB, then the morning alarm worked, i pressed "snooze", device froze with the message "Alarm snoozed for 5 minutes" on the screen.
It does not react on pressing the turn on/off button.
On any other phone I would just take off the battery. On a PDA I would use the little pinhole button to restart. Neither is possible with this "gorgeous" n8. It never freezes, aha.
So now it's morning, i need to go to work, and instead i'm trying to start the freaking phone. You're losing fans, Nokia. This is the most problematic smartphone i had.

May 26, 2010I'm having some trouble with the backlight of my N82. I've had the handset for just about 2yrs now and less than a month ago upgraded the software to V 35.0.002. After leaving the phone to charge overnight I woke up to my the sound of the alarm going off (as per usual). However, after disarming the alarm, the backlight started flashing. Not flashing at a set frequency, but an erratic flash. I restarted the phone and even removed the battery for a few minutes, but the problem persists. I thought it may be a hardware problem, but the flashing stops while there is an active window open (e.g. while having the "deleting messages" pop-up or "refreshing the music library"). Also once the power-saver feature kicks in the backlight obviously goes off so the flashing stops.

Jan 6, 2010I have had my Bold 9000 for about two months. I bought it unlocked and have been using it with T-mobile. When I first got it, i upgraded it to the latest leaked os 5.0. The thing is, I had problems with it. First it would just randomly crash and restart and crash and restart, continuously tell it just drained the battery out. Sometimes, on restarts, the standard Blackberry ringtones would not work, and sometimes they would. Sometimes when it would restart after crashing it would say, "net_app_something_ (52) isnt working and was canceled". I assumed it was a bad leak and tried several different version. (and this same occurred with each OS. I would install it on my pc, on my buddy's who has an unlocked Bold 9000 on t-mobile just like me. In the end I gave up and went back to 4.6. Yesterday i tried the new, official OS 5.0.It worked at first, but then when I install the newest BBM, it started crashing again, until the battery was gone. So now I have reinstalled it, kept the standard BBM that comes with the OS. and also deleted Quickpull. thinking it might have to do with it as well. On a last weird note. It seems only to crash in the evening. In the morning it is perfectly fine, however once it passes 4pm , the crashing beings, non if this occurs with 4.6.
Any ideas? My friend and I are both lost. Sorry for the wordy post, but it is really difficult to describe the retardedness of this situation.

Mar 23, 2010Recently i have purchased Nokia 5233 mobile and i activated Mobile Office. Now i am facing a problem like once i exit from internet GPRS connection resumes automatically. Even i tried to disconnect connectivity from Options --> Connectivity --> Connection Manager --> Disconnect. But i couldn't stop resume GPRS connection. I did enquire with SIM customer care they said whether it would be problem with virus.
But i have installed Trend Micro software and i did manual scan for virus. It founf 0 virus.Whether is it problem with virus or software / hardware?
Kindly suggest me how to resolve from automatic restart of GPRS connections.
