Mar 11, 2010I have downloaded Opera Mini onto my Nokia 5800 but it doesnt appear on my list of browsers? Why is this?

Nokia 5800 :: List Of Alternative Web Browsers?
Apr 2, 2010Does anyone have a list of alternative web browsers for the 5800xm. I'm fed up with it crashing every 5 minutes. I've tried Opera Mini, and whilst it's stable, and really pretty. Some pages just don't display correctly. Trying to watch BBC TV Simulcast with Opera, and it doesn't recognise something possibly the country.

Mar 23, 2010The application icon for opera mini 4.2 has a small yellow key next to it. I am unable to delete the app. I can't install opera mini 5 over the top. I have tried removing it with windows explorer, nokia application manager but neither worked. I tried taking the memory card out and doing all of the above but nothing worked. Please can someone tell me how I can uninstall this application so that I can install opera 5 mini?

I just don't see how folks can navigate quickly with Bolt. That screen is so little and trying to get that little pointer in the right place is frustrating. I have read that Bolt is supposed to render better, if a little slower than Opera. I must just have too big of fingers for Bolt...

Jul 22, 2010I've Nokia 5800 xpressmusic phone and have a vodaphone gprs internet connection. I am able to access the internet from the nokia(default) browser but whenever I try to access net from opera, it gives me the following error "Could not connect to remote server" I have not done any extra settings for opera.Do I need to do additional settings for thrid party sw to access the internet? Cause I m currently able to use the internet from the local browser.

Feb 4, 2010Ever since I've updated to FW2.1 all images I am downloading, either by emailing them to myself and then save or receiving via MMS are not appearing in the "Downloads" folder if the "Photos" app.The photos are in the "Images" folder of the Mass Storage drive, I can browse there and view them, but not via the photo app.Anything I can do, except for doing a hard reset?

Jul 3, 2010I updated my Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic firmware to the latest version yesterday and I also installed the latest Ovi maps through Ovi Suite and everything installed successfully. However, when I go to maps on my phone, the GPS and satellites are working fine, but I can not see any maps appearing on my phone - just a grey/pale green background appears instead of the maps. Only if I zoom all the way out, then the world globe starts to appear, and then disappears as I try to zoom back in.

Iv tried going to the download link which then asks where to download the file to, by defaut the "documents" folder for download destination came up so i went with that and then it downloaded the file to that destination. I then went to install the Opera mini file and cant get it to install, when i click on the file it asks which application i would like to open it with, thats as far as i get coz theres no suitable application to open it with. The Opera mini file thats downloaded has a " ? " on it. Please could any1 tell me how to do this or where im going wrong, or in fact if Opera mini is even suitable for N900.

Jul 16, 2012I have disabled "packet data" ( whatever that means?) as I was told to, to disable the phones internet connection via the network. ( if I want to go online I connect via wifi) But... now heres the thing, IF Im out & about & there is no wifi available, if I try & open Opera mini, it connects! Obviously this is thru my supposedly disabled network! How can this be? AND more importantly, how can I turn off all instances of the phone connecting in this way?Can I ask my provider ( Orange) to completely disable it at their end?
