I'm just curious about the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic phone. Does the front camera or second camera take photos? There are some Nokia cellphones that do and some that don't. If not, can you give me a few names of Nokia phones that the front camera can take photos?

When I today (3/21) reached to collect phone and told them to please get me tested the phone front camera, what they told me is "there is no Front camera in E71. If you prove will give you new phone? This is pathetic they even don't know that there is front video camera in the phone. My jobsheet no is 11433527/100320113. Even I saw jobsheet, they have not even tested it. The image is flipped upsidedown for some reason. wanted to know if Nokia 700 has a front camera.. on the internet some sites say they have and some say it doesnt.. confused abit.. in hte phone theres an option for video call.. but cannot activate the front camera at all..
So, my camera stopped launching. I fixed this yesterday by backing up my contacts and bookmarks and doing a reset (*#7370#).But then I noticed a few MORE issues with the phone that didn't exist before.
1. File manager. I can't copy files from one folder in my memory card to another. when i attempt this, the file manager spontaneously shuts down and redirects me to the main menu.Also, I can't seem to install any files on my phone. I'll start the installation, i'll accept the terms of agreement, i'll press continue... and then NOTHING. It just sits at the screen showing the .sis file i was trying to install. but nothing happens. i can't even delete the file b/c it says it's in use.
2. Image editor. i can edit images, but when i try and save them, the editor just closes and takes me to the image gallery. No saved image.
3. software update. the software update shows me a list of available updates like adobe flash lite, ovi contacts, shazam etc. I'll select a file to update, say for example, adobe flashlite.It'll say downloadin adobe flashlite (1 of 1) but the progress bar just WONT progress! it stays empty!
4. Settings>application manager>installation files.this will show an installation file for one theme that ...i'm not even sure i have on my phone anymore! at least, i can't find it on my memory card ( which is where it's supposed to be)which is strange, since i have a bunch of other installation files on my memory card which aren't showing up at all.it's perplexing. they should have a seperate forum dedicated to issues with the 5530, given the amount of trouble one has with it.
oh, i forgot the mention, my firmware is very much up to date. it was up to date before i performed the reset.but i updated it again last night, just in case that'd fix the issues above.it didnt.
I bought xpress music 5530 just a month ago. It's almost perfect except camera and some other little problems.
First its my biggest problem I can not open camera !!! when I press the camera nothing happens.when I check the running programs its seems its working but its not this is annoying.I reset my factory settings it worked for a few days and its gone again.I formatted the phone it worked for a few days and gone again..And my other problem I can't create my own profile.I think its a software problem and I bagging you to fix it.I can't take this anymore I bought 5320 before it failed at everything I gave it back.If this problem will not solve I promise I'll not use nokia anymore.
How to use the front facing camera on 808? Also, I hope Skype or any developers will come out with app to utilize the FFC.

Some times i'm able to start camera from "applications" to take pictures, but most of the times, if i go to applications > and click on camera, i just see the loading circle, but the camera doesnt launch.restarting the phone helps but the problem gets back. I reflashed my firmware using the nokia updater, but the problem has returned back now.

- I have read a lot of the posts here. Some people claim its the dust entering through the ear vent.
- I used a cannister of pressurised air onit today - and it indeed cleared all the dust out of the camera.
Where did the dust go? I read soemwhere that this blown out dust can wind up under the screen..Could it also end up obstructing the proximity sensor and mess up calls (blanking screen out)?

I am writing to express my disappointment with the Nokia product I purchased recently.
I bought an E66 handset from Carrefour in Shanghai last month, thinking that it would have full features.
With the Nokia site for China not having any information available in English, I used the Nokia site from Oman (where I am currently living) to research the specifications.
It was not until I returned to Oman that I realized that the E66 sold in China and the E66 sold elsewhere was not actually the same phone.
The phone that I bought is missing key features that persuaded me to buy it in the first place. It is missing:
Front camera.
3G capabilities.
WiFi connectivity.
Lifetime navigation with OviMaps.
Plus a range of other features that I was looking for.
This is marketed as a business phone, yet is missing the features I need to properly conduct business.
I do not understand why a global brand such as Nokia would ensure that the E66 model would have the same features universally.
I am thoroughly upset and disappointed at Nokia; having been a Nokia user for more than 12 years I have been let down by the brand that I have remained loyal to. Essentially, I was misled into buying a very bad phone.
Is there any way that you can explain the reasons behind the difference in the Chinese and Global E66 and/or equip me with an E66 that has the features I am looking for?
Any possible way to use the front camera in n900, coz i cant see any option for the front cam and for basic camera any option for night vision when shooting ?

Sometime I carry with me a tape measure and I lay it along the lenght and/r height of the item just to get a rough measurement of the item's dimension.Is it possible for Nokia to develop a camera with a built-in measuring tape that shows up in the pictures taken? The measuring tape should be able to adjust to the distance between the camera and the object so that the actual dimension of the object is measured accurately. If I take a picture of crawling snake from 20 feet away the picture taken should be able to show the actual lenght of the snake.
