I have searched the forum, the book and the web to find a way to remove the ADD contact button that appears on the main screen, but so far I have not found a way to do it, can someone please point me in the right direction.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor no reason I can tell my email notification bar on my home screen has disappeared.I am left with just the shadowed bar where the text for the email count used to be. When I select this bar it flashes red as if I've selected it and I also get a select vibrate but nothing opens.I have tried switching off the notification in my home screen settings, and the good old turining the phone off and on again.
View 13 Replies View RelatedWould someone be able to advise me on how to remove Maps v3.04?I already had v3.03 and thought I would try the latest version. There are some features that I am not happy with (not realising it was a beta version!!)
I then tried to downgrade to v3.03. It goes through the installation and then my phone reports Unknown error -5.I tested again - it believes I have v3.03(246) already, and again error -5.I check in maps and the version is v3.04I have obviously confused matters.
Do you know how to safely remove all versions so that I can start again with v3.03? I have read a few topics where people have been able to uninstall - but then still can't get v3.03 to install. I dont want to be in that situation

First of all, I've bought a 16GB memory card, but I don't know how to remove the 2GB one it currently has inserted. I press down the memory card but it won't (Fully) come out! Can someone explain me how to remove it, please?
Another issue is with some Bluetooth connections.
I tried to transfer some songs from my girlfriend's cell-phone, I've connected the 2 devices by creating an authorized(Automatically transfers data between the 2 cell-phones) paired connection. But I can't transfer data from her cell-phone to mine. They connect but the data isn't transferred! Side note: I've been able to transfer data before with the same devices, it would only transfer whenever it wanted, though. If it failed, I had to change the permissions and just try again. It could fail countless times(Once it failed like... 15 times in a row).
Now, it just won't transfer. They connect and the "Receiving data via Bluetooth" screen appears, but nothing happens until the connection times out. I've done nothing wrong and everything is fine, I guess. Does it only happen to me?
My last (main) problem:Battery.
My battery has a very short duration time. At the first time I turned it on, I've used it until the battery ran out, like I was told so. Then, I've plugged it to the switch and turned it on. I've used it through that time though, only to send and receive text messages. I exchange about 400 text messages per day. I've done everything I could to save battery. I've turned off the delivery reports, I always have it in silent mode, the screen bright is lower than the default value, etc. Still, it only lasts me like 20 hours before it ran's out. The first bar takes "a lot" of time to disappear, but the last 6 ones disappear quite fast.
I've tried to let him charge for 10-12 hours 2 times after that, but I didn't notice any change.If I'm on a long duration call, the battery runs out after... 3.45-4.30 hours. But that's definitely not the problem.I don't know if this affects, but it is always connected to my operator through 3G.
I have nokia5230 i send message that stores in outbox. if i delete or resend also its not moving out from outbox. the symbol near battery indication displays as outbox image. How to remove the message from the outbox?

View 15 Replies View RelatedI have the latest version of OVI on my PC which I use to SYNC CONTACTS. Problem is it DUPLICATES the contacts on my NOKIA 5230 even if I DELETE all the contacts listed on the PC OVI list. My understanding of SYNCing is that the PC and the NOKIA should have the same information. Either the SYNC is not working or there is a setting somewhere that needs to be changed? MY NOKIA is showing over 500 contacts when it should be half. Manual deletions to remove all the duplicates is a long job and the SYNC process always returns it back to over 500.I have set my NIKA to save all contact to the Phone Memory (not the SIM). Any ideas of to avoid and remove the DUPLICATES.

View 11 Replies View RelatedMy N9 got bricked when I tried to upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3 a few days back, and when I tried to using the contact page at nokia.com/no-no/support/contact-us/ I got errors saying I had not filled in the message and version number fields, although I had done so.
I tried on 3 PCs, 2 with Windows and one with Kubuntu, tried using Firefox and Opera on all of them, with varying installs of Flash and all that (including the latest) if that should matter at all...
My N9 issue is resolved now thanks to some un-bricking guides and software... so altough it still does freeze and reboot quite often (not as often as with older firmware though) it's finally usable again, but I'd just thought I let you know about my contact issues in case anyone else have the same experience.
I use nokia 5230. after I updated from 12.0.089 to 20.0.005. I feel better on dragging menu icon, faster and wider screen web browser, more stable music player. but I found some bugs that:
1. When I opened web browser for 3-4 pages with music player and then went to menu(all programs still opened) screen still show contact bar and menu's icons didn't showed.
2. Programs installer are much time freezes if open after downloaded from web browser immediately.
3. Sometime menu icons don't responded espectially specially the Application icon and Log icon
4. Phone lock slide bar sometime vibrate agaist the slide but sometime not.

I wanted to look at it in the Settings by going to General>Network<Personal Hotspot. However, once I did this, a new Personal Hotspot button has appeared on the main screen in Settings. Before, the first section of the main screen consisted of Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Notifications and Location Services. Now, it has Personal Hotspot in between Wi-Fi and Notifications. Is there any way to remove it from the main screen? (since I'm not going to ever use it)
