I have a nokia 3110classic (Series40).
1. I can't open almost all applications. It says 'Invalid application. Delete?', whereas I can open those applications before my phone has got problem.
2. I can't open music player. The phone always updates library when I open music player.
3. The phone often restarts when I was using dictionary.
Lately, one touch of my power button causes it to open the profile menu, and then it restarts on it's own, without me holding it. Then it comes back on by itself too, like the power button is jammed...
When I pull the battery out, and leave it out for whatever length of time (I tried 10-20 min), as soon as the battery is back in, it turns itself on.As of the last few days, it has decided than when I place it on a table, or sometimes just getting moved around in my pocket, it wants to restart...
I do NOT want to send it back to manufacturer, as they will give me a $4 phone to use, and still charge me data rates and all that for 8 weeks.... But is there a fix for this, like a program or something that alters what the power button does? Can I disable the power button at all? Other than this issue, my phone is awesome! And if there IS a way of disabling, is there a way I can shut down not using this button, like if my phone freezes or something, besides pulling the battery?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThree days back I have migrated from 2G to 3G network the 2G & 3G Operator. Before applying for migration to 3G, I sought advices from the Office on Desk. He querried that my 3110 classic handset, can I surf internet. On my affirmative response, he suggested me for migration to 3G. I have done and now am a participant in 3G network. My question is (i) is 3110 classic handset is compatible to 3G network technology? (ii) So far media is drum-beating about efficient and speed available in 3G compared to 2G networ, I do not find, after migration to 3G network any signicant magic in performance in internet surfing. Hence I am in doubt that I may be paying higher tariff in 3G compared to 2G when 3110 Classic is not compatible model? If the model is not compatible to 3G network, I would revert back to 2G network as before.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've got a strange problem with my 5800, when I want to enter application manager > installed applications my phone restarts. From recent installed applications a major ones would be Ovi Maps and (today) Java 2.0 from Nokia Beta Labs. I am not sure which one could cause the described problem, but I think it would be Java. Why? Because without memory card present I can enter 'installed apps' without any problem. I have to tell you, that only in my opinion Java causes that, I don't know if any other doesn't. How to manage the problem without a hard reset? I really wouldn't like to install all my stuff once again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone can assist with this. I have an N86 running the latest v30.9 firmware. I have set the default connection in Settings > Connections > Destinations to 'Always Ask'. However, I have noticed that my phone is still connecting to the internet (3G connected icon showing on the standby screen) even when no other programs are runing (according to a long 'Menu' press). When I receive a call I get a message on screen advising that the packet data connection is on hold. 'Packet data active' shown on screen when the call ends. The log also shows the internet connection is being made and maintained often for hours on end, e.g. through the night. Although the amount of data being sent and received is relatively small, this is still a concern for the future if I'm ever roaming or on a metered tariff. Any help to resolve this is much appreciated.

1. Can the problem be resolved? After all, I didn't pump the thing full of Micro-SD memory for nothing.
2. Does Nokia know about this bug? Is it or has it been taken care of?
3. What's the limit on the number of installed apps for the application management to function correctly?
My Nokia asha 202 handset is frustrating me as it cannot open downloaded (nokia related) apps and games. When I try opening a downloaded app it says 'file format not supported. Also,some of the files (music) I receive via bluetooth don't play.

why my iphone 4 restarts when opening up applications? How do I correct this?

I have recently bought an xpeira z2, and from the getgo all it has done is give me problems, it will randomly crash almost every app. Randomly restart itself and for the most part is getting to be an unusable phone. Im thinking of just returning the phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a N900 and have experienced unstable 3G data connection. Web pages at times won't open, take a long time to open, or simply timeout. Internet Radio re-buffering all the time.I take out the SIM card and put it into my N97. Internet connection seems fine in my N97 at the same location. I turn on the Joikuspot on my N97 (convert 3G signal into Wi-fi hotspot) and connect my N900 to Internet via wi-fi and the Internet connection on my N900 runs absolutely smooth. I can open different websites with Internet radio running in the background.
May I know if anyone can help me with this? I am running out of ideas. And I cannot carry both N900 and N97 at the same time like this to make Internet connection works for N900.

I have downloaded games to my new Iphone 4S 8 and when I try to open them, they won't open. I believe that this began when I downloaded I-tunes, moved my music from my computer over by using genius. After this is where I believe my problem may have began, my husband offered for me to load music from his I-pad to my computer and add it to the music that I had loaded to my i-tunes. From this time on my games will not open when I try to open them, and all of his apps have been added to my iphone. It appears that HIS apps will open on my phone, but mine won't.

All downloaded apps do not open. When I click the app to open, the app flickers and then returns to the home screen. I reset my settings, no luck. However, after I download a new app, re-authenticate my password, the other apps work. I just don't want to re-authenticate every time i open the app.
