I have a W385 flashed with the verizon flash on pages plus.when it opens, all it does is display the file's info?I don't think Java is installed on this model.I can't seem to find out how to install java using Pplus.At this point I'd be willing to pay someone to help me via skype chat.
View 1 RepliesOk so I bought an env2 off a guy on craigslist. I dropped my old one in a puddle but I really loved my env 2 so I bought a used one from someone on craigslist. When I went to activate it I discovered it was on revol's network, I dont live in the city hence I can get coverage on revol. Still says verizon all over it when you turn it on and off. I am not very savvy with cell phones but I am with a computer. I took it to the verizon store and they tried to put new firmware on it but it didnt work. I have a tough time beleiving that it can go from verizons network to revols but not back, if anyone has a way that I can flash the phone back to verizon.

I have a Verizon Razr V3m that I would like to flash to Metro PCS. I am completely new to this process and need very easy to follow directions on how to do this. I do have slightly better than average computer skills so have a good understanding of how to do things.
Basically I need to know what program is best to download to do this, what the steps are to complete the process and what I should know before I start, ie: how to back up files from the phone that I am flashing, which files to back up, etc.
I have a cousin that has a droid that was originally Verizon but was flashed to metropcs and now wants it flashed back to Verizon. Now I have no idea how to or if its even possible so if anyone can point me in the right direction to a how to guide or maybe a site that can do this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a new Motorola W385 from US Cellular. I can not get P2K Commander version 6.0.0 to recognize the phone. I have installed the Handset USB Drivers from the Motorola website and set the software to use the correct COM port. If the Mode is set to P2K/P2K05, when the software starts it says that the phone is Linux based and wants to change the mode to P2K05 over USBLAN. This has not corrected the problem. I have tried all three options under P2K Tuning. Do I need a different version of P2K Commander or a different driver? I saw that the instructions called for version 4.9.C of P2K Commander but I was not able to find a downloadable copy of that version.

When I received it I tested it and the keypad worked, as well as the camera and all the menus.I then proceeded to activate it on Page Plus Cellular. Customer Service rep asked me to press *22890 for the OTA reprogramming and after that sequence/process the keypad stopped working correctly.
After that when I open the flip phone it automatically dials *, sometimes I can dial one or two numbers and then it stops. But the majority of the time none of the numbers, nor the clear, camera, send or menu buttons work.I can still receive calls.To try to fix it I flashed to the latest firmware version (.18). No improvement so then back to the one that was on the phone (.16). Still no improvement.Are there any suggestions to try to have the phone work correctly?
I have a motorola W385 phone. I've always used XP and P2k Commander 6.0.0 to change ringtones and wallpaper images.
I've since upgraded to windows 7 and I can't figure out what to do now to accomplish these tasks. I have installed the latest MotoDev drivers 4.2.4 I believe, I have installed p2k 6.0.0 But the software just will NOT recognize the phone. It shows up as a modem on com6... as soon as I set the program to com6, the modem disappears from device manager.
I've done this 4 or 5 times in the past using XP and I'm just wondering if anybody has had success with Windows 7 and what software they used to do it?
Really I just want to change the wallpaper and I'm not sure how to send a text message to the phone with an image attached using Windows Messenger (if that's possible)
I did find a computer with XP, but for some reason P2k Commander does the same thing, as soon as you select the appropriate COM PORT, the motorola modem driver disappears from device manager. This software seems REALLY touchy and I just don't know what to try next. I've tried many versions of P2k as well without success.
I just received a Motorola w385 from Page Plus and when I try to check my text messages, I get an error that says "Inbox requires Setup." and then forces me to exit.I've tried calling Page Plus but their CS is overloaded. Any ideas how to fix this?

I've done a bit of the "intro" stuff: up/down-loaded pictures/ringtones and changed the cover display, so i'm pretty familiar with p2k Commander. But, like some other folks (and as i say in my post) i found either myself incompetent or the software lacking. After starting PST, SWIM creates a new "feature file" and reads the data from his W385 handset. SWIM changes the clock format setting to 24hr and saves the file. Then SWIM tries to write the data back to his handset, but PST prompts SWIM for a subsidy unlock code.
SWIM has no idea what his subsidy unlock code is, nor does he know how/where to find it.How can SWIM either:
A). Get the magic code to finish this process via PST?
B). Make the 24hr format change using another method?

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor a long time AT&T nee Cingular has locked me out of their MEdia (AT&T) Mall, and prevented me from running desirable apps by signing them with a "secret" certificate only available on their branded phones.Well, thanks to a2uploader and the recent acquisition of a locked AT&T phone I have been able to snag these Preferred and Trusted Java signing root certificates. As well as the entire AT&T customization package, which gives me a good template to play with my own if I so desire. (As an aside, I can also now download from the AT&T Mall using a Firefox add-on which allows me to spoof a particular supported phone's User-Agent string.)I digress. When I sent these certificates to my unlocked K850i it places them in the Trusted Cert store rather than the Java Cert store and the apps still have problems running and fail to install using the signed JAD. I have not tried it, but I assume my K790a will behave the same way.Now, the XML which defines the AT&T customizations references the certificates as well as the proper store location for them. Is this my only way to force a cert into the Java store? This also leads into how can I install client certificates?

View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is for my father-in-law's phone. He has just basic service, so no text or data plan. Bitpim doesn't appear to support it and I cannot find a USB driver for it. The phone does not currently have Kies installed (I don't even know if it is supported on this phone). And he can't install new applications because he has no data plan. Is he pretty much out of luck or is there some alternate way of doing this that I haven't discovered yet?

For example, I send a message to my Chief and my message will not appear in the chat log instead it will create a new point in the Text Messaging. Lost?

Now however, if the contact first send me a message then I can append my messages in the Contact Chat Log and they will be syncronous. Otherer wise mine will always end up in another Contact Chat Log under Text Messaging.
I've tried rebooting, cleared my chat logs, and played with a couple of other settings. I even went through the painstaking reset to factory. I will not do that again EVER! We need a way to back up to the computer....

I'm a web developer wanting to debug web pages inside the Xoom web browser.I have a particular issue in which I have a page with a number of <select> lists, the first two lists allow me to choose values but the remaining lists do not - even though I know the lists contain values. I'm guessing that this could be a WebKit bug but am hoping there are some simple debug tools to assist me, similar to Google Chrome, but I have no idea where to find them. about:debug doesn't help much and view-source: doesn't work.
Have tried using Opera Mobile browser and the lists works without a problem and have tried Firefox but this was too buggy to test. Dolphin seems to exhibit the same issues as the default Xoom browser so I'm gessing it uses the same version of WebKit.Getting this working is a crucial part of my system and I do not want to recommend that the customer use iPads to get the most reliable web functionality. So, are there any debugging tools for web pages available on the Xoom?
