View 2 RepliesI just got this Titanium My office usually sends me appointment requests from outlook through my work email. It's not exchange email, just generic email. They used to automatically appear on my BB calendar. I receive the emails on the T but they're blank except for the prompt to open/save the attachment. If I open the attachment, the calendar event is in 'raw' format. If I save it, it stores it as 'unkown attachment' on the sd card. It doesn't get added to my calendar. I've got outlook 2007 on my pc and tried it from my personal account (not gmail), same results. I set up forwarding all email from my work's website to my gmail account. When it gets to gmail, I have to click on the email then choose 'add to calendar' or it does nothing. I need it to be automatic. My calendar type is google. I have sync options set to auto and I've cleared the data from the calendar as posted by someone else who had a problem with calendar syncing) Creating an appointment on the gmail website works fine, it appears on my phone quickly. This seems kind of convoluted. If my fellow employees switch to Android this will be a PITA. Is there an automatic way of doing this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Titanium Backup and my backup folder used to be a USB-drive I mounted with Stickmount.
Now, with Android 6, Stickmount no longer works for me and the built-in USB-OTG mount takes over and mounts the USB drive to /mnt/media_rw/SOMEFOLDER.
But with Titanium Backup, I can't access this folder (folder chooser has no permission to move into this folder).
So, is there a possibility to access the USB drive in another way or do I have to do backups to the internal storage and move it to the USB drive manually?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe phone I use is my company phone. I bought my wife the Motorola Titantium because she wanted it. I refused to buy that Motorola I1, 1.5OS peice of crap, so I pretty much had to get her this one to make her happy.I wasn't expecting much because I have been a Southernlinc customer for a while and am use to getting the bottom of the barrel when it came to phones. The angry birds app (yep, the wifey downloaded it) . . . it locks up every 2 - 3 minutes. I have to go in to task manager, close out everything, restart, she plays it little bit more . . . then BAM . . . locks up again. Last night she finally said, "Guess it's a no go on the Angry Birds" Have I done something wrong or doing something wrong or is this phone not even capable of running an app as simple as "Angry Birds"??? how to speed this thing up?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAll my contacts with direct connect #'s are converted to phone #'s. I exported my contacts to a vcf file and imported with the Admiral. Some #'s appear as "notes" with the # properly displayed with asterisks as separators. It's about time the people writing the software are forced to use it, not just release it and wait. Manually editing the #'s is not an option, so I'm supposed to go to a Sprint store and wait on line? C'mon. Also EVERY contact with a phone # also has a duplicate entry for a DC #? --Removed-- Now when I'm driving and have to call someone I have to scroll through 6 entries for each name and hope I press the right one?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI followed all the steps given on Sony Ericsson site of updating android 2.1 from 1.6 on my phone Xperia 10. It went through all the steps successfully and end up successfully stating that update completed. But after that when i check the version in my phone, it is still 1.6
Is 2.1 update not working properly? Is there any way to get to 2.1?
I bought a new xperia ray and updated it to the latest update(android 4.0.4 build number 4.1.B.0.431) within the same day and I didn't have much experience with GB. But after the update it randomly restarts several times during the day even I left phone without any activity. But I want to highlight I used Sony PC Companion to update the firmware and during the update process I left the sim card within it and several times it failed the update with no exact error code but it said update failed kind a thing. But I think I finally figured out the reason for that pc companion related problem because my OS was windows 8 consumer preview. So I tried the update using windows 7 and it went properly.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis week something very odd has been happening on my phone. When I open Textra to send a text, it asks me if I want to make it my default app for messages. For some reason, my default messaging app keeps changing to Titanium backup. Why is that even an option? If I change it back to Textra, the change only lasts about a day.

1. I bought with my previous smartphone Titanium BackUp Pro to backup and manage my Android Phone. Do i have to forget this with my Xperia Ray ?
2. I never use Twitter app, Facebook app, fun to download app, video unlimited app that are automatically loaded on boot. When i go to manage apps menu, i only can "force stop" for those apps. So how can i uninstall or unload them on boot? without be able to root my phone ? adb is a solution ?

View 7 Replies View Related(Disclaimer: what follows is purely speculative, but based upon years of experience with embedded software development)Convenient, isn't it, that the phones Motorola has eternally condemned to 2.3.5 are EXACTLY the same phones that got their bootloaders permalocked by Motorola a couple of months ago? could be cynical and speculate that Motorola deliberately locked them down to be mean and evil, but there's a far more obvious explanation: Motorola screwed up the 2.3.5 bootloader they pushed to the Atrix, Electrify, and Photon bigtime, and painted themselves into a corner with a bug that makes some/many/most/all Photons with the 2.3.5 bootloader unable to ever be (safely?) reflashed again without JTAG assistance.
Bootloaders are temperamental beasts. By now, it's not a *huge* secret how to write a robust bootloader that makes it almost impossible to truly brick a phone in a way that can't be progressively repaired through an immutable fallback bootloader (even if it's beyond the skill of typical end users). Unfortunately, as Motorola is probably learning the hard way right about now, it's next to impossible to write a robustly locked-down bootloader with "foolproof" security that fails-deny AND simultaneously leave yourself a "plan B" just in case that bootloader ends up with some bug that leaves it unable to apply future updates.
My guess is that Motorola had precisely that nightmare scenario happen -- lots of phones that are now locked down harder than even Motorola intended, and can no longer be reflashed. Motorola have either NO 'plan B' (and are now in a position of having to hack their own bootloader, without doing it in a way that would reveal its secrets to everyone at XDA with a decompiler), or they have a 'plan B' whose use would reveal a backdoor that everyone ELSE could use to circumvent the protected bootloader's security, too.If they did something *really* stupid, like use the same encryption key for all of their phones (say, by wrapping it into a security chip that got mass-produced and used for several generations of phones), it might even make it possible to use the same technique on Motorola's OTHER phones as well.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy phone got the update a few days ago. The battery died that night and when I went to charge it it wouldn't turn back on. I left it on the charger to see if that would help. Now it rarely turns on and if it does it will spontaneously freeze and shut down. Sometimes it will turn on and freeze on the M screen. I haven't downloaded any new apps and have taken the battery out numerous times. I just got the phone a few weeks ago from my insurance. It's running on 2.2.3.
