I made several checks to update to 2.3.6 (Check for update on the phone and via MotoCast) and it tells my RAZR is up to date.I checked on your site and I saw this upgrade is available for software version SPU9 or SPU11 and user in France, Italy, Spain, and the UK.My system version is a 651.73.30 NonEFIGS, SW version SPU-11-M1-2.Will my RAZR be updated to 2.3.6 ? If not, is there a reason?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did the system update on my Razr Maxx today & when it restarted, it said that my SIM card was recently removed & that I needed to verify my Motoblur password. Well, I didn't know what that was so my phone was totally locked. I got home & looked it up & it wanted me to put in my Motocast password. I did that & then it told me that it looked like my carrier was Verizon & that it did not support Motoblur. What the heck. So I had to do a full system reset.
View 10 Replies View RelatedIn the three weeks since using my device the motorola contacts software has been losing name to number associations such that following a new contact entry the name associated to the number RANDOMLY breaks meaning I am losing names from my contacts but the number string remains in my call log. This has happened to approximately 20% of new entries. The same process has been followed each time. The number/name can be re-inputted subsequently and the problem does not repeat. No pattern is followed it just happens- its not time dependent either... I'm baffled and losing contacts?

I have 2 MAXXs in the family. On #1, I went into System updates and updated to 181. I keep trying to do this on #2 and keep getting the following: "Check for update is not available at this time. Try again later." This happened on #2 before, but powering off reset it. This time I have tried powering off and on several times, but still cannot get the System update to work. The settings (wifi, etc.) are the same on #1 and #2. Any ideas to get the System update to work?

View 9 Replies View RelatedStarting yesterday I have seen the above message 3 times. The only thing I have changed on the phone was to enable Motocast yesterday. Also, I replaced the 16GB SD card with a 32GB SD card, early last week. I've only had the phone for about a month. I have been able to power the phone off and reboot and get the phone functioning again. Last night it took 2 reboots before the phone became functional again. What can I look for to determine whats causing the error?

It used to be handy for dialing extension numbers, authorization codes etc. but they seem to be ignored after the update. There is also no apparent way to edit a phone number with any character other than the ones on the dialpad.

I got a message to upgrade to ICS today. I sarted that on Wifi at home only to find out it had lost connection at 37%. It had an orang triangle with an exclaimation mark in it. Then i made sure it was connected to wifi. but still no change in status. i rebooted the phone and since then not download happening. I tried system update option. it gives the following message"An update is currently being downloaded.You will be notified when the download is complete.

Where it would once keep up with my swipes, pokes, and keystrokes, it now seems sluggish at times. Exceptionally slow when hitting enter from the google search widget. That is, the time from when I hit search until the time a webpage is loaded is much slower than before with both Chrome and Browser.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had random issues with the fb app when on GB also, but now it wont start at all, or, it starts, then goes black and never recovers. finally about 10 - 15 minutes later I get a pop up message that the app has stopped responding and do I want to report it. Of course I report it every time.
I tried uninstalling the app completely but could not do it. I could only uninstall the upgrades made to it previously, so I tried that and then reinstalled the upgrades, but to no avail.
I did not realize that fb is a permanent app. I thought I could uninstall it completely, but I cannot. Has anyone else run into this with fb?
yes I did have other issues with ics and I have cache cleared and started uninstalling app's where possible. I have NOT tried a factory reset yet, but that may very well be next.
Ever since the ICS upgrade my camera and video has been problematic. I upgraded to ICS as part of the advance feedback network group and reported this then, but it's still unstable.
Whenever I take pictures or video, if I do anything shortly (such as viewing the photo or exiting the camera) after it locks up the phone, and the phone reboots. I have done a factory reset, wiped the cache partition, my phone is not rooted, and the problem still persists. Is anyone else seeing this problem or have recommendations on a fix? This has made taking photos and video a rare task when I'd prefer to do it regularly, but I don't enjoy the phone restarting and losing the picture or video I took.
