I've had this Photon Q lte for 3 weeks, and the battery is ridiculous. I have to charge it at least twice a day, even when I'm not using it for anything. Wifi is always off because I don't need it, but sometimes my battery analysis lists wifi as having used almost 25% of the power! I can't find anywhere else to turn it off. I'm having serious regrets about being stuck with this thing for 2 years!

I've had my BB Curve for about a year and a half now. Last night, I went to charge my BB after the battery had drained to find on the screen a drained battery icon with a red cross/line through it. I had reloaded the set up on my phone and it still does not work and it seems that the white loading bar under the icon still loads after it has appeared and stops at around 75%.Will a new battery fix this?As I have said, I have reloaded and wiped everything on my phone and I have also tried the 'take out the battery while it's charged, put it back in method', nothing happened.

I attached a picture showing my current phone, the iPhone 5, and as you can see, I don't use my phone very often - and when I do, it's mostly for gaming.
My current battery lasts for more than 2 days (although I just used it for 2 hours) and I'd like to know if the Moto X can handle that much. I have heard that the Moto X battery can't stand for a full day - even if you use it very little, is that true?
I have had my phone for a week without any problem. Today my battery lost more than 50% of its total charge in two hours when I was not using my phone. I checked battery usage and it said "Media". What media is this so that I can stop it?

I can connect and can browse internet but after a week can still connect to wifi but the problem is a can't connect to the internet I can't open even google and it says "Browser unable to connect to website". And it also happening at home sometimes i can connect to wifi and can brows to internet but most of the time I cant browse to internet and at my work until now I cant open internet via wifi even the connection is 100%. And when I check to connection manager "status connection (inactive). I also do restore factory settings but I have same problem, I didn't change any setting in my nokia x7.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy blackberry 9300 used to last me 2 days with low usage and 1 day with heavy usage. that's the way it has been for about a year and a half and i would always charge it all night anyway regardless of how much i use it. about a month ago, i was watching a video on Internet using the 3g network and suddenly it beeped and said "battery drained, shutting down handheld." there was no battery low warnings or anything, the battery said it was half full at the point. i didn't think much of it, i did a battery pull to get it to turn on again and it was fine for the rest of the day.it kept doing the same thing though, everytime i would watch videos or listen to any type of music. i would literally take it off the charger after a full night of charging and then watch a video on the wifi, 2 minutes into the video or after only one song it would tell my the battery is drained and shuts the phone down even though i apparantly have full battery. the only way to get it to turn on again is if i did a battery pull.well then i thought, ok then, so it only does this with videos and music. it never used, but it does now. but as time progressed, even when i didn't touch vidoes or music and am doing normal non-battery taxing things like texting and phoning people it would do the same. many times i've been in the middle of a call and it would turn off and leave me stranded.sometimes when i reset it, it goes back to normal and it stays on for a while after and sometimes it just turns straight back off again.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have my device set for Wi-Fi to stay on only when plugged in (Settings > WiFi > Advanced > Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep). (see pic #1) The goal being when the device is not in use the WiFi turns off to conserve battery and when I wake up the unit it automatically turns WiFi back on, scans for networks and auto connects to my preferred WiFi networks.Everything works great until the unit sleeps. When I wake it up WiFi never connects. WiFi is set to ON when you look under Settings but when you select the WiFi menu all it says is "Searching for WiFi networks" (see pic #2). Please don't tell me that there aren't any WiFi networks within range because I'm sitting 3 feet from mine now. I also gave it a good 10 minutes to scan, and even pushed the SCAN button.
The only way I can get WiFi to actually work is to turn off the WiFi then turn it back on. Only then will it actually scan for and connect to WiFi networks (see pic #3). Everything will work as intended until the unit goes back to sleep.It's not the end of the world but it is frustrating given it's a new phone. I can make it work by cycling the WiFi off & on or by changing the settings for WiFi to always stay on (even when sleeping).I already did a factory reset and did not install any other apps, not even system app updates found in the Play/Market.

It only works on wifi, but when connected through 3G UMTS, it says that there is not internet connection, and I'm pretty sure that there is internet connection available. Actually all other applications (Gtalk, Gmail, Browser, etc) are working fine with the 3G data, this is only happening with WhatsApp.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought the Motorola Photon 4G in the U.S. but I live in Brazil. In the first 10 days of use it worked perfectly, had battery life of 36 hours with moderate use. After you update it to last OTA, I do not know if it was coincidence, the battery does not last more than 4 hours without any use. Already reset to factory rom, I used several methods to calibrate and the battery remains the same. The screen and battery get very hot when using the photon. I bought new batteries and charger and nothing changed. The interesting is that even disconnected the battery completely discharges within hours. I use the minimum screen brightness, WiFi, GPS, bluetooth and data are off. Right now I have only the factory-installed app, and yet the battery only lasts about 4 hours. The Photon is not sold in Brazil, therefore, have no guarantee nor an authorized service center for Motorola Photon. From what I see must be a hardware problem, does anyone know what might be happening?

the last few days my battery has not even come close to getting me through the day. No new apps. I look at my battery usage and find that Phone Idle is the largest user of my battery. While researching this I find tons of folks who are like "that's normal", but it is almost always even with cell standby. My usage is as follows right now (and this is what it's been like for the past 3 days): phone idle: 37%. Display: 23%, Voice calls: 15%, android OS 10%, Cell standby: 8%. Those are not the numbers anyone else I've spoken to that is running android is seeing. They are seeing phone idle running even or just below cell standby. I'm off battery for 8 hours and down to 25%. I won't make it home before I have to plug in the phone, and for the last 6 months my battery has been making it all day.

View 2 Replies View Relatedonly had the phone a few days but the above message has appeared twice and then the phone just shuts down.Now if the battery indicator was really low when this happen then no problems but the two times it has happened the battery indicator has been showing on or just below 50%!That's a huge drain on the battery, 50% to zero.I have ordered a new battery to see if this makes any diference but am concerned that if you are out and about a battery can die that quick!I do have a few things switched on that run in the background, social media, BBM, WiFi etc which I know causes the battery to run out quicker but I would not expect a big spike and total battery drain?This happened when using facebook on one occasion while out an about and the first time using sky sports soccer centre app connected to my wifi.These are the only times since having the phone that the battery has been on or just below 50%. I do not think it is App related. And then I put it into Charge in half an hour the battery gets fully charged. I don't understand how it possible. I am really fed up with this newly installed Android OS 4.0 ICS. When I try to turn the phone on it just keeps booting to the htc splash then turning black, before repeating the process. I've tried recovery and factory reset from the bootloader but those did absolutely nothing.
Btw I've never rooted my phone or anything like that. It's 100% stock from when I got it.
