Things are comatose around here now but I have a problem; my TN700 doesn't stop navigating when I reach a destination; it keeps giving directions. It won't accept a manual cancellation command either. Haven't tried to reset because I don't want to have to re-enter everything. Haven't logged onto the Motonav Tool page in years.
i just purchased a motonav tn765 today. i plugged it in to charge and it seems to indicate that it is charging (the power led turns yellow). after 2 hours of charging (yellow light) i removed the cord and the led turned red. activating the power switch does nothing. reseting the unit does nothing. i purchased this device at a local walmart as a clearance item. they don't have any more in stock and usually clearance items are not returnable. i called support and their only suggestion was to return it to the store. does anyone here have any ideas of how to get this device to turn on?
As I said in another post, I just bough a MotoNav N565T. My GPS had died and I found this one on clearance for an absurdly low price.I like manuals. I'm one of three guys in the country that actually read the manual for anything. However, the manual for this device sucks. Half of it is dedicated to using the phone. Are there any good instructions for this device available or am I expected to just blunder my way around until I figure everythign out?
I will set it in the cradle and it will begin the power up process and turns off several times before the status bar completes its update. At times, I am able to get it turned and it will work as intended but after a while it says that the battery is critically low and I need to plug the device in. I have it in the cradle, and the car charger utility plug is plugged in and is displaying a green light indicating power. The MotoNav is acting as if it is not receiving power from the cigarette lighter/utility port. When I undock the MotoNav from the cradle I no longer get the message...that the device is in pedestrian mode and on battery power, do you wish to turn off the device?...the MotoNav just immediately turns off.
I've experienced my TN765 shutting itself down because of lower battery power, even when it's plugged in via USB to a car charger.I realise that the battery will only charge if the device is turned off, that is fine, but it seems that it loses battery power even if it's powered. It's a very slow loss of charge, but on a long trip it can lose it all and shut down unexpectedly. And it isn't the charger working loose because the 'external power' icon is always displayed. It's a Motorola cigarette lighter plug charger. Is that normal and does it do this with the official mount or just on the USB?
I broke the mount to my 765t and wondered if anyone had/knew of a place to get a replacemnt. I have looked at several 'universal' replacements but none work quite aswell as the original.
I'm running out of memory on my Moto Milestone/Droid. From what I can tell, the app that is taking up the most internal space is MotoNav at 17.73 MB (= 17.49 MB of data and 248 KB of app). My trial period has already expired though it appears I can still use it now (I'm assuming with its existing maps).I've read it's hard to remove MotoNav from the phone because it's a system app. That's fine but what happens if I just want to delete all the data from this app? Is that ok? Are there any long term ramifications to do that? What happens if say, I chose to buy an activation key for it at a later date? Will I be able to redownload all that data (the maps, etc) again?
My Blackberry finds the Roadster, but I get "connection failed" from my Blackberry. It was connected yesterday and I made one call on it.Why not working now? I have tried turning on/off and following p 14 of the Quick Start Guide--nothing is working.
I just got the TN765. it doesn't recognize my voice ever. i have done professional narration, so the quality is not a problem. is there a learning to it?
how to sort the "Favorites" folder alphabetically? I'm not sure what the default sorting rules are. They don't seem to be organized by date of entry, or by frequency of use.
I got this unit as gift little while ago and just opened it. plugged it in and was receiving traffic and charging. i plugged in couple days later and now not charging and no traffic. the little green light is on at the cig plug and there is power to the end of barrel plug via test light. I looked over the cradle and pins all looks fine. i cleaned them just in case. so it would seem to be a cradle/dock issue. I cant find any issues with the unit and it charges fine on usb. i dont have a spare cradel to test it.
how to fix my brand new MOTONAV TN765? I downloaded the "latest" map update, which seemed to run without problem. Unplugged the USB cable (as directed) and let it start to unpack the images. It locked up a couple of seconds into the "update process." I have tried to power off and back on- still locked up at same place. I have tried to re-plug in the USB- still locked up. Tried inserting a SIM chip, no luck. Tried the small reset button on the bottom of the device- no change.
I have successfully paired my beloved Rouge with my brand new Motonav but cannot get the Sync function to work. It acts like it is getting the info from my phone (hourglass) but nothing happens..no progress bar and no error message. After hourglass goes away, it returns to same screen ith Sync button displayed.
After successfully installing OS update from Toolbox and reconnecting the device, the computer says "USB device not recognized',Tried reset and master reset to no avail. I cannot do anything unless the computer talks to it!
As luck would have it the power cord on my TN765T has now failed - discovered just a couple hours before leaving on a 3 day trip. It has developed a bad connection in the male plug end to the cradle and I get intermittent power depending on how I bend the stress relief portion. All fixable, but I will have to destroy the integrity of the original plug - for all the good that did me. This cord has not been abused (or used that much) so I am surprised and disappointed it "broke".
I've tried to use the Roadster's FM mode, but find its audio quality in FM mode to be very bad. I can barely understand peoples voices as the audio sounds muffled. I can try to make it better by reducing the BASS on my FM radio to minimum, and maximizing the TREBLE.I'm almost ready to open up the Roadster and see if I can figure out a hack for the hardware to fix this.
The voice navigation and re-routing only work on occasion. When i miss a turn, which is often because the turn by turn voice is silent, it just tells me i am off route.
It's been a good month that i have not been getting traffic alerts from my GPS, when I drive in the highway around Boston, MA. It usually tells me if there are road constructions, traffic congestions, recalculates directions, etc.On my GPS everything is turned ON under Traffic. I even tried Master Reset to see if that works, but nothing .
When I synced my iPhone 3 to my Motonav, it seemed to take a very long time at the Administrator screen and I don't have that many contacts. I also don't see a progress indicator on the Nav so I tapped OK and synced again. All my contacts were synced, but now they're in the Nav twice. How do I delete the duplicates? Or wipe them all out and start fresh?
just recieved this tn765 and have used it on one of my routes really good piece of tech. Juat a little background I make a lot of stops on my inspection route (30+).Have been using MS Streets trips and trips 2009 so maps are not an issue for me and have been able to update to q4 2009 just had to update the unit first. Also have been able to use google send to unit and put that address into favorites and route it so maybe updated my maps one by one as needed. Is this feature free forever or only 3 months? Have not been able to make the start and end of my route the same and this does affect how the unit actually routes my stops.Does anyone know how to do this I have tried home as start point or just current location and does not route me back home on planned trip or route.
I've had my TN765T for a few days and have really liked it up until this morning. It would appear as though my TN765T's screen has lost it's mind. It was fine before work, however after work, it looks like this.one knows a fix for this...I sent a support ticket in, but the reply I got was "Regarding your concern, we provide support for Motorola Mobile Devices only." Guess it was my fault to think My Motorola GPS was a Motorola Mobile device...
"Voice commands in English not available in your location" is what I get when I try to input an address using my voice. I'm in Canada, but I don't speak French. PLEASE don't tell me I have to have it in 'French' mode for it to work in Canada! I have it set for 'English, US'.
I went thru the set up. I immediately noticed a difference in performance, when I turned it on it showed my location to be almost a mile (by road) from my actual location, probably a 1/2 mile as the crow flies. I turned it back on a couple of different times in the next few hours but it never did find the street I live on. The battery was low so I hoped that a good charging would get it to function better. The next day was some better, at least it found my street but still placed me 140 yards away. No panic yet, Friday will be the true test. Friday morning I loading in my addresses and found the optimization key thanks to my experience with the Garmin 1450. Bingo, route optimized! Looking forward to the trip now. However, the trip was a huge disappointment. This 765 did recognize waypoint correctly but the unit kept going to the blue screen with moto's advertisement . I would have to start the trip all over again and delete the waypoint I was at, it would add that back to the route.I'd guess it happened at least 20 times durng the around 3 1/2 hours I used it. Most of time I would be at a waypoint (but not always) and I'd get back to the car and it would be playing it's happy tune. I'm glad it sounded happy cause sure wasn't. The other 765 I had did not behave in this manner.
I bought a S6 (G920F) two months ago and it came with 5.1.1 android installed. I want to root it but without tripping KNOX because I have two year warranty. I know that pingpong root does this but on 5.0.2. Can I flash the official build for 5.0.2 via Odin and don't get KNOX tripped.
So I'm trying to stick with the $15 a month data plan if I can, but I really want to try out the GPS functions on my new iPhone 4. For those of you that pay a lot of attention to data usage--how much data does GPS eat up if you're using something like the MapQuest GPS app?
