Motorola Motoactv :: Radio Will Not Work With Bluetooth Jaybirds
Aug 3, 2012
Jaybirds work very well with my Motoactv compared to the problems with Motorolas SF600. Playing mp3 I have no problems, but I recently tried the radio function with my bluetooth Jaybirds and it tells me to connect headphones to work?
I just applied the latest update and after scanning through the radio stations and 28 were identified yet they are not saved, it just goes back to an empty re-scan screen. I cannot set favorite radio stations, clicking on the star above the radio station does nothing.
I am having problems with the combination of radio apps (e.g. TuneIn, CBC Radio, NPR), and a Bluetooth speaker (Blackweb SoundPebble). The apps work fine and will play through the Nexus 5 speakers or headphones when no Bluetooth speaker is connected. However, when I connect a Bluetooth speaker, the apps do not work - they don't get past the title screen. The Bluetooth speaker works OK with locally stored files e.g. music saved to the device.
Can't get this to work. I tune into a "favourite" station, tap the red star but when go back up and into Favourites nothing is showing. Software 4.57.76
This is my second Atrix. It is failing to turn on its' Bluetooth radio. I go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > Bluetooth (and Bluetooth Settings) and try to turn Bluetooth on. It indicates that it's turning on Bluetooth and then it fails, returning to the "Turn on bluetooth" message. I've rebooted, done a battery pull, tried to turn it on from Airplane mode...everything short of a factory reset (because I really really really don't want to set this thing up from scratch again!).
ICS update has changed something for the bad on my Droid Bionic!! I can't get music to stream to car radio using the radio controls (2012 Sorento). I had no problems with Gingerbread.......it worked just fine. I tried FDR and got a slight improvement in that the music would stream but I would have to start it with the phone. Tried re-pairing phone and car which didn't work. I have experienced the music stream stopping after 1song or several songs.
I'm interested in getting the S10 bluetooth headphones and wanted to see how good they are. I will mainly use for running, but will also use when I ride my bike by myself.- Is it really sweatproof?- How does it fit under a bike helmet?
Is MOTOACTV compatible with any bluetooth headset? My boyfriend bought me a "Stereo Bluetooth Headset" by AudiosynQ I set the device in pairing mode and navigated to the "Add Headset" section under wireless settings but the device kept saying it was unable to find the headset. Do I need to have MOTOACTV paired with my phone (Iphone) somehow first or pair the headset with my phone first and then MOTOACTV?
I thought my battery life issues had been resolved. But i jsut recently got a set of bluetooth ( Jabra SPORT Bluetooth Stereo Headset ) headphones and noticed that battery life is back down to nothing ( 3.5 hrs ish).
I'm wondering does anyone have a rough estimate of the battery drain that blutooth has on the ACTV ? should i jsut give up and go back to wired for cycling :(
how to squeeze more juice in blutetooth mode . I'm already in marathon mode , with short screen timeout. I don't anve and ANT+ stuff going on..
Polar has just released a low energy Bluetooth HR transmitter. That unit will talk to a Motorola Droid Razr. I'm thinking the droid and moto are the same technology and it will work with the moto, can anyone confirm this? I'd love to phase out the current straps for a more reliable bluetooth. The guys using bluetooth on their phone have none of the HR spikes, drops, we do. It is much more seemless and reliable. The Moto is the only wrist device that supports bluetooth, but so far they've not been able to get it to work, so I'm wondering what the latest scoop is.
just finished my run on the .73 version for the first time. The device battery definitely lasts a little bit longer -- still dies close to 3 hours. Won't last all the way through my marathon training. That said, a couple of other things also happened. I added the Garmin foot pod to the devices linked to the MOTOACTV. I also have the Jaybird Freedom 3 as a bluetooth headset connected. Two things happened:
1. Approx 1.25mi into the run, i went to look down at the watch and it stopped tracking. I didn't hear anything in my ear -- no "workout stopped/paused" nothing. I heard it "workout started" when I began.
2. With the Garmin foot pod my avg. pace was higher -- than using the MOTOACTV without a pod (just the gps) -- is that normal?
3. About mid-way through the run, my music stopped -- i looked down at the MOTOACTV and noticed the bluetooth icon was gone (i.e., disconnected). I'm not sure why, i checked my headset and it was still on.
I have a set of Jaybird JF3 Freedom BT headphones (fantastic running headphones BTW!) - both the Motoactv manual and the device itself tell me that when the Motoactv and my BT headset are in range of each other and powered on, they will auto-connect. Of the 30+ times I've used them, this only happened once. Every other time I have to go into Settings - Wireless - BT Headsets-JF3 Freedom and hit the "Reconnect" button - then they reconnect right away. One random time, they auto-connected. I didn't do anything different than I normally do.
I cannot connect may Polar WearLink+ Bluetooth heart rate monitor to motoactv any suggestions? When it scans for the device it comes up none found. however the Polar WearLink+ Bluetooth connects to my phone just fine.
I've been watching this product (and these forums) since the MA came out. Now that I'm cleared to run again, I'm really ready to make a purchase. I am so completley on the fence between this and a Garmin. I realize people are more apt to post the negative over the positive so help me make a comparative list:PRO MANo separate IPOD!will track other activitiesbluetooth headphonesMatt's responsiveness on these forumsCon MA (concerns, eally)battery lifeonline portal issues (as seen on these forums)"water damage" issue - rated as ipx7?!GPS reliabilityPRO GARMIN 410more stable?familiar with garmconnect (I have an etrex for trail use)A true running GPSI've tried the Garmin but I have not tried the MA - I'd LOVE to though.
I just purchased the MA device and noticed that while I was out on my first run with it, the workout ended after I paused it. Not sure if I just inadvertently hit 'end workout', but was wondering if the device has a default to end the workout if you have it in 'pause' mode for too long. I only had it paused for maybe 60 seconds while I was waiting to cross a street, then when I hit the button to resume, it said work was already complete.
Anyone know if there is a way to change the settings so it doesn't auto end (if that's indeed what it did)?
I just got a MOTOACTV last month, use it as a fit trainer and never use the music function. Few days ago I want try listen some music but it can not play! No reaction at all! Also FM radio, show "No Signal". I try reset factory and change the headphone but still have this problem.
So this is a little bit of a fail, you can not use the moto actv to stream music from phone over bluetooth to it. Which means no Pandora, Slacker, Spootify.
I like the running Pace Zone Feature! It worked for me on the day I did a fit test. I ran 6 miles after the fit test and was able to take a glance at my watch and see the zone I was in. Very cool. I went to the website and tweaked my zones and saved a new template.I can't get the pace zones function to work since then. I'm sure it is operator error.
Would really like to see workouts tracked that go outside the "canned" activities. Example. I'd really like to track my heart rate and fitness songs through a strength or interval workout.Currently I do not see a way of having the device tarack that information as a "workout" are there any ways to work around the canned workouts to do this?
I go out for a few runs and I noticed that me heart rate read very low and erratic (25 bpm then 60 bpm) this only happens when I use my Bluetooth headphones with the chest strip HRM. I have tried it with the stock headphones whith great results.
Is there a way to connect to a bluetooth device that requires a code to be entered? I am trying to connect to my Microsoft Sync radio so I can stream music. The MA detects the Sync but when I click on it it just says connection fails. The Sync requires that you enter a code so I assume this is the reason for the connection failure.
First, I'm unable to save a zone template. If I edit the Carmichael zones and hit save, it tells me that's it has saved the template. But alas, it's nowhere to be found. Also, after I hit save the zone resets back to the default (which is incorrect as it has the first two zones overlapping significantly). Take a look at the attachment. I'm no heart rate expert by any means, but are "Recovery" and "Foundation" supposed to overlap as much as they do (why are both of their lower number 87?)? Just looking at this now I realize how little sense it makes. Why does the "Foundation" zone go all the way into "Steady State" I tried changing this and it just reverts back to the original everytime. I'm sure you'll guess my next gripe... yep, my zones are incorrect on my MotoACTV as well.
I've been a MotoACTV user for just over two weeks now and woke to find that my shake to wake function and calorimeter/pedometer aren't working. My device is not paired with any phone and because it's new, it's got the most recent s/w already installed. I checked the Wake Device field on the watch and it was set. Am I missing something or is there an exsiting problem for these symptoms? The MotoACTV s/w version MA 1.7.12 N8.
Bluetooh Headset will work for Motorola Cliq MB 200? I am planning to buy a Motorola S10-HD Bluetooth Stereo Headphones to connect to my Motorola Cliq MB 200.. I am not sure whether it is going to work or not.
I have a few problems with the Atrix 2 and curious if others see these things.First...I really like this phone. I like the size, the weight, the speed, the apps, etc. was annoying enough that I decided to use my bluetooth headset. The sound improved immeasurably by doing that. But, I noticed that while at work, listening to music, that I couldn't turn on wifi while I had bluetooth engaged. The music would haltingly play, like a skipping disk, until, finally, after about 30 seconds it stops altogether. As soon as I turned off wifi, the bluetooth playing would reengage where it left off and play perfectly.I also notice that with the plugged in mic or with my bluetooth headphones connected, if a call comes in while I'm listening to something, about 1/2 the time, the phone wouldn't ring or vibrate.
- What happened: Wifi and bluetooth does not turn on and off as expected, in addition, the system as a whole is extremely slow and consuming a lot of battery.
- What you think the correct behavior Should Be: on and off wifi and bluetooth normally.
When I try to enable wifi for example, he is trying but can not [URL]. The bluetooth, the same. When I enter and leave the airplane mode, without attempting to enable the wifi, the device works normally, without delays or excessive consumption of battery, just try to activate the wifi to stay as shown in the video.
I've tried:
- Enter and exit the aircraft; - Caches to clear the Open Recovery; - Change a few lines of / etc / wifi / tiwlan.ini; - Fix errors with the FXR WiFi fix and rescue (http://goo.gl/glw2c); - Remove the battery and wait about 1 hour; - Rm -rf/data/misc/wifi and reboot for clearing wifi settings.
None of it worked. Attached bugreport and Screenshots
None of my Bluetooth Motorola Headphones work anymore after iOS 5.1 upgrade. They constantly skip and dropout to a point of being totally useless... They were all working great and now they barely work at all.
I have found it almost impossible to get a wired headset to work on my bionic when in my car (which has built in bluetooth, and which is bonded to the phone just fine). The only way I can make the wired headset take precedence over the bluetooth, and/or the phone's speaker phone, is to:
1. Make a call in the car (any mode). 2. Plug in headset. 3. Click on the phone's speaker icon (headset works for 1/2 second before sound reverts to bionic's speakerphone). 4. Unplug and plug the headset into the bionic, often 2 or 3 times.
Obviously this sucks and would cause a terrible accident if one were driving and doing all these procedures. I have read every documentation on the phone to no avail. I have called Motorola twice, to no avail (and was hung up on by the tech), and called Verizon tech, who also hung up on me.
