View 3 Replies View RelatedPlease note a couple of minor bugs.1) Date displayn the options of the MotoACTV device you can set the date display format to the ISO unambiguous yyyy/mm/dd format, which is what I prefer. On the motoactv web app Under Display Preferences/Data Format, there is only dd/MM/yyyy and MM/dd/yyyy. Please provide the more sane unabiguous yyyy/mm/dd format so this can be consistent.) Display Units My Display Units are set to Metric. However on the MotoACTV web app when I select Workouts/Latest Workout/Workout Stats, the distance and pacing are recorded in km, but the elevation shows in ft. I am not sure at this point if it is the 'ft' label is wrong, or the actual numeric display and/or conversion is wrong, but you guys I'm sure can figure this out. You can verify this here:
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the settings you can select what you want to display. I know that the distance in miles is displayed in the upper right corner all the time but it is so small and I don't wear my glasses when I'm running so I can never read what it says.
Is there a way to select the distance in miles as one of the four metric settings you can select to have displayed on the workout screen? If so can you tell me what it is called because when I select the "Distance" settings that isn't it. And I have no idea what "Distance - Stage" is but I tried that and it didn't show the distance I ran as one of the four settings in the center of the screen either.
Right now I have the pace selected and when you tap on it it fills practically the whole screen so I can read that without my glasses. But I want to be able to read how many miles I have run.
I have been trying to download gold courses for 2 days now and can't figure it out.My device keeps saying "Downloading" and nothing is happening.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI did a walk today and after a while, I was amused to first hear over the headphones that it was the longest distance I had done, then a bit later the longest duration and finally the most calories. At the end, I noticed one minor error. It said I had done my longest distance of 4.02 kilometers but my units were miles and I had in fact done 4.02 miles. This was correct in the normal summary field.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday looking into my portal, which I admit having been doing for a while other that for downloading the cvs. file to use with training peaks, thought, "new update for the device...probably new stuff for the portal", and guess what...yep, the motoactv team finally added steps and step rate (cadence) as a metric. Finally I thought, but is broken. The portal's able to show the amounts of steps taken but on the step rate it shows zero, and by zero I meant, no data whatsoever. I've been waiting for this to be added for to long.
View 3 Replies View Relatedhow to change the Motoactv device to show miles instead of km? I cannot figure it out and I've searched online and through the manual. I have figured out how to do it on the Motoactv website where you can schedule workouts and view your information.... but I just cannot get the units changed on the device. I've gone through the device and tried the settings menu, but it didn't seem to be in there either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used my watch this weekend to play a round of golf. The round took about 4:15 to play and when I was done my battery went from 100% to 10%. My watch is on "marathon" mode and I left the screen on the whole time. This barely seems like enough to get through a full round of golf, is this the battery time everyone else is seeing?
2 weeks ago I ran a marathon which took me a little under 4 hours and I'm pretty sure my battery was at 50 or 60% when done. I also left the screen on the whole time. The only thing that has changed between then and now is that I upgraded to the latest version of the software.
As a test I set a goal to walk 200 miles. Since then I have logged 2 rounds of golf (10 miles) but the miles do not count towards my walking goal. But they do count towards my second goal of working out 3 times a week. How do i fix this since golf is my primary walking sport. I want credit for the miles to show in my goal.

Is there a way for me to see the distance from the last shot without locking in the position with the "start" button? This is a feature I would use all of the time with my other GPS unit to know how far away I was so I would know approximatly where to start looking for my ball if it wasn't sitting out in the open. Also very useful for letting your playing partners know how far their drives went.
Problem: When I attempt to do a course update or add new course it will run for hours (circle keeps spinning) and drain the battery. I reboot the device and it shows the last update was done that day (no time statement to confirm last attempt successful) but I'm not sure if it completed properly. The mulitple segment course update works great (hence my attempt to update my courses) at Flanders Valley, NJ.Has the update feature been fixed so changes to skydroid can be updated to the MotoActv?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my Golf Edition a few days ago. Ran into some issues but eventually resolved it myself (as I ended up in a circle trying to reach someone that could support me from Motorola but without any luck). Just want to share my experience so that if someone ran into the same issue, they probably can try it.I live in Ontario, Canada. My Motoactv came with US maps and I needed to download Canadian course packs.I have my device connected by USB. I followed the instruction on screen to download the Canadian Ontario packs. It gave it a five seconds trial and gave me an error of "Insufficient Memory, remove some music". I have no music stored and i had over 12 Gb of space left. I reset eveything to factory condition and still didn't work.
I went to a Wi-Fi hotspot at my golf club, got it connected and retried again over Wi-Fi. It didn't work and gave me the same incorrect error message.Getting quite frustrated, I was trying one last time at home before makting the decision to return it, placing the device close to my Wi-Fi router at home. This time it works very well, and downloaded everything. So, it looks like that the "Insufficient Memory" message could mean that the connection between the device and the server is not strong or fast enough and have nothing to do with memory. The work around is to retry in a place when the Wi-Fi connection is very strong and fast.
using SW v. 6.6 Setup->Workout->Golf->Clubs Profile..Distance ranges are limited, the upper limit should be increased, 20 yards per club. I need about 10-15. Can this be done in an upcoming firmware update?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy MotoActv shows the correct elevation on the unit during a workout but when that information is sync'd the elevation is corrupted and shows about 10,000' too high. And, the "elevation" metric does not show up on the chart even though I've selected it. Speed, distance, calories burned, etc. all show up - but not elevation. On my last workout the maximum elevation shows 15,123' and the low elevation shows 13,382'.I live in Moab, Utah at an elevation of about 4,600'. I did about 600' of climbing on the workout. We don't even have any peaks around here that are over 15,000
