View 12 RepliesSuddenly, I noticed my time was off by 1 hour. I didn't touch any of the time settings that I knew of....I went into the setting screen for the clock and where it used to say Eastern Time zone now says daylight savings time. Page further into the time settings, I got to the time set page which showed the correct time was set.I backed back out to the clock screen only to see it still showing 1 hour off... I shut the watch off and restarted it... After doing so, the time was now correct..

I've found in the Market many apps named like "Anti-mosquito", which claim to be able to keep mosquitos away: indeed, they achieve this by playing high-pitched sounds which are annoying to mosquitos and - yes! - they work.
Of course, this can be done by just playing repeatedly high pitched sounds, which, depending on the kind of mosquito you want to get rid off, may be in the range from 14 to 25 KHz.
Since I don't know whether playing so highly pitched sounds for a long time could damage the phone, I've asked the Italian support. They looked confused, indeed.
At first, they asked which app was I asking about and said that, anyway, all apps from the Market "are developed and managed directly by Google" (sic).
Then, when I pointed out that, put aside the fact that apps in the Market are not being developed by Google, I wasn't talking about apps and software but of particular sounds and hardware, they escalated the question to their technical department.
I was asked again which app I wanted information about (!!) and then, after telling again that I meant nothing more than playing a 14-25 KHz-pitched mp3 for a long time, they answered that no, that may not harm the phone but they couldn't be 100% sure.
I've asked them about the audio playback hardware, about who produced it and whether those latter could answer. The final answer, that they suppose is enough to close my ticket, is that "nobody could say for sure that playing high-pitched tones for a long time wouldn't damage the phone".
This is a nonsense to me, since hardware must have technical specs. Does Motorola International have got a better answer?
I own a French Retail A953 Milestone 2 and I'm looking forward to android 2.3 update. So, after followed the thread [URL]and it's on ! Internet videos in the native app and other non-flash streaming media seem to work perfectly.i'm using the stock browser with flash player 10.2.157.51 (the latest one available in the android market), and i've tried several different videos linked from m.flash.com
View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated my Milestone which is UAE version to Froyo yesterday after a long delay, was really excited all evening until i discovered two problems with my wifi.The Device does not connect to the corporate network as my office uses 802.1x EAP and there is no place to enter proxy where as my friends using samsung galaxy s (Froyo 2.2) connect to the network and browse using the wifi advanced settings to enter the proxy in their device.

But after some minute It restart with a blank screen then reboot to OS and MSU says update failed. My last resort is to flash it via RSDLITE but when im trying to get into bootloader it shows blank screen then reboot to OS. I cant enter to my bootloader.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHave a brand new install of Windows 7 64bit and a 6 month old Milestone 2 which has always succesfully connected to PC/Mac in USB mass storage mode, but when trying to connect to new Windows & PC the PC tries to install MTP drivers that fail.Solution is to select the failed device in device manager and manually install the driver selecting the device as a USB mass storage device and not the default MTP device.

I send an email from my phone and it shows the time as 1 hour behind but shows up in my inbox on my computer as the correct time. When I check the connection info, that is correct. So I'm guessing it's an issue with my phone's clock? I have it set to local time and automatic time update is turned on as well. I use mail for exchange to sync my calendar with google calendar and the times there are correct there too. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and also have reset the data. It was working correctly prior to my most recent hard reset (obv N97). Can anyone point me to any setting that I may be overlooking?

View 6 Replies View RelatedSony Erickson X Peria X2. Just bought an X Peria X2 for $650 CD N, Yesterday having a few small problems questions. Question 1: How do I change the time from 24 hour clock to a 12 hour clock? I've gone into Settings -> System Settings -> Regional Settings and changed it from HH:mm:SS to H:mm:SS and turned the phone off then on. Tried other way around and it stays a 24 hour clock. The time style example doesn't change between the two options, it stays 24 hour clock.
Question 2: How do I access the Memory card on my computer. I installed Windows Mobile Center on Windows 7. I can access the Phones Memory but not the memory card itself where all the pictures and stuff are.
Question 3: The time of sending and receiving texts is different for me. I'll send a text at 13:33 and she replays 10 seconds later but the phone says she replied at 9:33, when it should be 13:33 as well as it was sent and received at the same time. This happens with everyone I text. Not a big deal but annoying as I wont know the correct time they text ed me back.
Question 4: Everything seems to kinda run a little slow when opening things etc.... I have checked task manager and nothing else is running data is off everything, but still pretty slow. I watched a video saying that It will receive an update this month but when I go to Sony website they only have the X1 on there not the X2 for some stupid reason.
After spending 2 hours on the forums and 2 hrs on motorola website, downloading the motorola software update and finding that the updater says that your phone is up to date with 2.1 (where as the motorola site says 2.2 is now available) and browsing thru unending discussions, I was unable to update my Motorola milestone to Android 2.2. I last week sent my phone to the service center to ask them to update it to 2.2, they returned the phone saying it is up to date.I am sick of removing applications and always worrying about the remaining ROM availability. If the official version is not available in Dubai can someone tell me of a shop where I can get it updated, as I dont really understand the concept of rooting and stuff like that.
I've had a nokia 5800 for about 6 or 7 months now. when I got the phone I turned on the automatic time update and it kept time really well. Then it got to about november last year and suddenly it jumped ahead 1 hour. Now every morning I have to turn on auto update (since the phone wont keep time without it), let the time update, change the time back one hour and tell it I havn't changed time zones. I live in Perth Western Australia and we dont use daylight savings so I dont know what is going on with it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Atrix keeps rebooting several times an hour. ATT gave me a replacement and the replacement started doing the same thing as soon as I started using it. I called ATT and they said there was no use in another replacement until Motorola fixed the issue because the third replacement would do the same thing. They said they have replaced countless Atrix at that store alone.
The battery has been replaced. I did a factory reset. There is plenty of RAM, it has nothing to do with any apps, there is NOTHING on the replacement phone and the original phone did it after the factory reset. It has nothing to do with wifi or 4G use. I have never unsafely disconnected the phone from my computer. The restarts are random.
Ever since I got my defy I was very impressed with the battery life. After the group update I found it shortened slightly compared to with eclair but still good This weekend its suddenly started discharging at a crazy rate! I've twice tried hard reseting the handset but it continues to discharge quickly!I run very few applications. The major 3 being whatapp. Facebook and twitter.

Trying out Milestone in home. Keeps disconnecting from wifi have to keep checking it and reconnecting. Btw, is there an app that gives a wifi symbol at the top of the screen? Wifi works perfectly with my laptop.

Screen shows some lines n then when i press the screen lock button the screen goes black and the shortcut screen still glows.Phone recieves the call and if i press the volume button it correctly vibrates and beeps. I have tried formatting, flashing from the service centre everything. The people here in service centre are dumb. They say that the fone have problem in flex, but My phone used to work fine when I had 2.1.
