MSU stops at about 15% updating device software on my motorola Milestone 2. I am from Romania, with Orange provider, but the MSU sees it as UK and updates my phone. The bootloader 70.13 appears on the screen when it starts updating, but why the error? Is it anyway possible to upgrade my phone?
View 2 RepliesHave a brand new install of Windows 7 64bit and a 6 month old Milestone 2 which has always succesfully connected to PC/Mac in USB mass storage mode, but when trying to connect to new Windows & PC the PC tries to install MTP drivers that fail.Solution is to select the failed device in device manager and manually install the driver selecting the device as a USB mass storage device and not the default MTP device.

Screen shows some lines n then when i press the screen lock button the screen goes black and the shortcut screen still glows.Phone recieves the call and if i press the volume button it correctly vibrates and beeps. I have tried formatting, flashing from the service centre everything. The people here in service centre are dumb. They say that the fone have problem in flex, but My phone used to work fine when I had 2.1.

Contact? Calendar? Applications installed? Photos? Is there any way to backup everything to update it without losting anything?
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor about a week now, there is an icon in the notification bar that my system is getting updates. An orange circle is on top of the icon and the number in that circle has climbed to 50. I only have about a dozen apps installed. When I pull down the notifications list and select this update list, the title is "Ongoing" and the apps are TweetDeck(Twitter, Facebook),... If I touch that line, it may go to the market or more often bounces back to the ome screen. How do I cancel what it is doing and stop it from continually trying to update apps. I have gone through all the settings and still no luck. God, what a stupid, bug filled OS.

View 3 Replies View Relatedis there anything i can do to improve flash video playback? after the 2.2 update i was excited to be able to use flash on my phone, but video playback on it seems so bad that it's unwatchable.it's like a slideshow at best, and at worse i'm only getting one frame every thirty seconds or so. oddly enough the sound never skips or stutters at all.i've tried it over wifi and 3g. Internet videos in the native app and other non-flash streaming media seem to work perfectly.i'm using the stock browser with flash player 10.2.157.51 (the latest one available in the android market), and i've tried several different videos linked from m.flash.com
View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated my Milestone which is UAE version to Froyo yesterday after a long delay, was really excited all evening until i discovered two problems with my wifi.The Device does not connect to the corporate network as my office uses 802.1x EAP and there is no place to enter proxy where as my friends using samsung galaxy s (Froyo 2.2) connect to the network and browse using the wifi advanced settings to enter the proxy in their device.

But after some minute It restart with a blank screen then reboot to OS and MSU says update failed. My last resort is to flash it via RSDLITE but when im trying to get into bootloader it shows blank screen then reboot to OS. I cant enter to my bootloader.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter spending 2 hours on the forums and 2 hrs on motorola website, downloading the motorola software update and finding that the updater says that your phone is up to date with 2.1 (where as the motorola site says 2.2 is now available) and browsing thru unending discussions, I was unable to update my Motorola milestone to Android 2.2. I last week sent my phone to the service center to ask them to update it to 2.2, they returned the phone saying it is up to date.I am sick of removing applications and always worrying about the remaining ROM availability. A few days ago I decided to update my device (9900) software to 7.1. And it has been a disaster since I received the update thru the Update Software Section on my phone but since then is has only gotten to 3% of the backup. I have restarted the phone several times, and pulled the battery several times and well and left the phone for hours hoping it would get itself together, to only occasionally fine (app error code:603) and yes at this present moment it is still stuck at 3% back up, this is 3rd day.

Probably a way to fix this that is annoying and sometimes scary to know that ur phone might dies when you less expect it. I finished installing ICS 3 hours ago. The problem was that my battery died during the time it was updating media database. Now, the battery will not charge. It says at 5%. If I am using my phone at all (i.e. just making folders) it heats up and dies/turns off. I've tried 2 different batteries and 2 different chargers with the same results. Also- 3 hours later and I still have no contacts and many apps no longer work (google voice).

It seems to be a micro usb port issue in my case at least. I can prop the cord just so and get a charging indication but it never seems to charge in actuality, rarely going above 30%.

But now also problem remains it hangs some time, the new upgrade has Task Manager, but it keeps showing CPU: 100% alert. I wonder if only my maps and browser is open, why does it show the sign? Now also while I am typing this from mobile, it is giving same alert with only browser running. Isn't it made for multi-tasking? And also (problem not of topic) my market's page doesn't upgrade itself. It keeps running on old format.

Trying out Milestone in home. Keeps disconnecting from wifi have to keep checking it and reconnecting. Btw, is there an app that gives a wifi symbol at the top of the screen? Wifi works perfectly with my laptop.
