I have looked in other arias but still do not see how to get programs to use the ext sd card. The biggest on for me is Tape Machine. I need to be able to save my recordings to the ext sd card as some of my recordings go almost 2 hrs in wav so that they are easy to play anyware.On a different note this phones is great. The signal reception for data and wifi is unreal it beats any phone I have ever owned.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have looked everywhere and don't see this question. I installed a 32gb sd card. I formatted it via the phone. In settings/storage it shows the 29.66gb total space, 24.36gb available space. However when I go to either APS2SD or manage apps via settings it shows 8.91gb total and 7.11gb available. Why is it only showing 8gb total and not 29.66?

Rarely locked up, maybe rebooted on its own once, ever.Today, I am simply listening to music, and the phone keeps stopping out of the blue and reboots. Happening on local music (played w/Meridian app), Rhapsody, and Pandora. Pandora was the only app I'd installed since the update, and thought maybe it'd caused problems, so it's been uninstalled.Re-seated SD card, pulled batt. a few times, still randomly rebooting.

I check my google calendar which is syncing fine and see all of my past appointements, however they are gone from the phone. I've tranferred the files to both Mac and PC and neither have worked. View 2 Replies View RelatedIam a Uscc agent and I have a customer with the electrify and their phone is dying within a couple of hours and only sending a couple of text messages and making one phone call I have given a battery swap and checked the phone for any bad apps but there were no additional applications installed and settings do not seem out of place and compared it to mine that I have abd everything matches and mine lasts me an entire day of heavy use. I am just wondering if there is anything else that could be draining the battery or a way to fix it?

Needless to say, the piano app that I use.( for jotting down quick ideas, I am a music director at my church and a songwriter) is nearly unusable because piano often uses more than two fingers. I know that the hacking community has been able to enable up to 8 points if multitouch. Is this going to be enabled for this phone? I would hate to get rid of it since I love everything else about it, and have no problems at all with any functionality. ( aside from that whole pesky multitouch thing).

When a cord is plugged into the Electrify 2, you can choose how the connection is handled (File transfer versus media transfer versus camera/photo transfer). Is there a way to disconnect the connection in the software prior to removing the cable?

You can prevent them from running easily.In the Xoom I see some programs doing the same thing. Like Maps. I have no need for the Maps app to be running normally. I doubt if I would ever use it. I have GPS for the vehicles and mostly go to known locations now anyway.I don't want to remove the app particularly. You never know when you might decide it would be good to run it

When I connect the phone to my PC (Windows 7 x64), I get a computer pop-up that says "Drivers are being installed." This installation always fails. When I open Windows Media Player and hit the "Sync" tab, no device is listed.
According to the Motorola website, Motorola Media Link "allows you to easily transfer, sync, manage, back up and share your phone's content." Sure. The link to the program itself redirects to MotoCast USB, a separate (and apparently new) program which wirelessly syncs my music with my phone. The webpage says it does not physically sync my music. This program does not run when I click on its icon. When I found the .exe file in MS Explorer, I got a BSoD.
I just want a simple way to connect my phone to my computer to transfer my music. I would also appreciate it if Motorola was consistent on its own website about exactly what programs are available for users and what they do.
Figured out how to get programs/ringtones into my received folder.
how to install/load them as I see no option under options. Simply clicking on them doesn't do it.
So more odd behavior from this possibly defective xoom i got yesterday. After a night of charging, i woke up to find my home screen filled with widgets that I didnt put there.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've downloaded a couple of different Ringtone apps, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to actually get the ringtones I want onto my phone. All I can find on this is to go through the Music app, but that doesn't see any of the ringtones from the apps. Are there certain ringtone apps that work only with the Electrify? The apps themselves don't appear to have a way to download. All I've been able to do is listen to the sound. I had a Samsung Galaxy before this and it was so easy for me to get ringtones. I'm really stumped with the Electrify.
