Motorola Electrify :: Add A Ringtone From An App?
Jul 1, 2012I've downloaded a couple of different Ringtone apps, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to actually get the ringtones I want onto my phone. All I can find on this is to go through the Music app, but that doesn't see any of the ringtones from the apps. Are there certain ringtone apps that work only with the Electrify? The apps themselves don't appear to have a way to download. All I've been able to do is listen to the sound. I had a Samsung Galaxy before this and it was so easy for me to get ringtones. I'm really stumped with the Electrify.

Oct 29, 2011Had my eletrify for two weeks and everything was working great. Synced the Music Player with my iTunes thru MML and was all working fine. Yesterday I was playing music thru the library etc. No problems. Today - When I go to "Music" - it errors out and says "Sorry! Application Music (in process com.motorola.music) is not responding. I have tried rebooting, closing the app, re-syncing to iTunes with MML, etc. But no luck. I can go directly to my SD Card file and play a particular song and the music player works. However I no longer have a library or the ability to use playlists etc.

Oct 6, 2011My music player only works some of the time and other times it gives me an error message. Also when I set ringtones from any music on my phone(ones I bluetoothed, ones downloaded from apps on the market, and also ones I copy and pasted from my computer) they will only work sometimes. Other times they seem to reset themselves and go back to a default ringtones or say unknown ringtone and will not work at all. The only ringtones that work all the time are the ringtones that came on the phone. My friend is having the same problem and the tech at US Cellular said he has had couple people come in with the same problem but they can't seem to find a solution. Also when the ringtones/music player is not working the videos in the "Help Center" on my phone will not work either. There seems to be some kind of glitch. I just want to be sure that there isn't some kind of setting wrong or something before I take this phone back and get something else because I would love to keep this phone, but it's not looking very promising.

Jan 22, 2012Iam a Uscc agent and I have a customer with the electrify and their phone is dying within a couple of hours and only sending a couple of text messages and making one phone call I have given a battery swap and checked the phone for any bad apps but there were no additional applications installed and settings do not seem out of place and compared it to mine that I have abd everything matches and mine lasts me an entire day of heavy use. I am just wondering if there is anything else that could be draining the battery or a way to fix it?

Nov 17, 2011Testing the multi touch functionality of my phone, to my dismay, shows acknowledgement of two points of contact. Needless to say, the piano app that I use.( for jotting down quick ideas, I am a music director at my church and a songwriter) is nearly unusable because piano often uses more than two fingers. I know that the hacking community has been able to enable up to 8 points if multitouch. Is this going to be enabled for this phone? I would hate to get rid of it since I love everything else about it, and have no problems at all with any functionality. ( aside from that whole pesky multitouch thing).

Jun 8, 2011I have a song from my music library set as my ringtone and as far as just using it when it turns on it works fine. But if at any point I go to play other music in my music library, it turns into a generic alert tone, until I power my phone off and back on. I figure if I could stop the music in my library instead of just pause it that would work, but I see no way to do that.
