View 1 Replies View RelatedI successfully transferred my pictures and video, but the music sync was from my pc to my phone. Now I have a bunch of music/podcasts on my phone I dont want, but not the mp3's on my phone that I want on my pc. I read you can move music to sd card, but not sure how to do that, as they are all located on my phones internal memory.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid 4 through Verizon running Graham Cracker. I recently had a 4g Sandisk Nicro SD card installed and it worked fine. I turned off my phone, removed the 4gb card and installed a 32gb Sandisk Micro SD card. The installation seemed to have gone successfully. When I turned on my phone it asked me if I wanted to move my media to the SDcard and it moved all those files. When I went to move my apps and I select a movable app, the only choice I have is "move to media area" I do not have a chice to move to SD card. I have restarted the phone looked at and moved data around on teh SD card from the phone and when connected to a pc and that all works fine.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have not noticed the SD problem. But, it that is also not working, it may be something that I can take back to Verizon for a new phone, and just keep taking it back because none of them are going to work.
I did as you suggested and checked my phone using the Astro File app. It is as you said, the SD card is different than the SD ext. I moved Dropbox mannually to the SD ext, and it promptly disappeared from my list of installed apps. There is nothing on my SD ext except for some music files that I put there manually while hooked up to the computer. So, all of the Apps2SD are really not going to the SD card at all. You are right, apps should install automaticall on the SD if they are capable, or at least as you where they want you to install them.
So, is there a way to actually move an app to the SD ext card?
When using the application managerI get a choice of moving. an application to the media area or the phone. is the media
View 13 Replies View RelatedSince the GB update I have noticed that apps the do not install to the SD card by default fail the first time when you manually tell it to install the SD card. If you immediately try it again it will move successfully..I have already cleared the cache and factory reset to work around other odd app crash/stability issues but this items seems to persist. I have noticed the issue with/without SD card encryption enabled.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy wife replaced her Droid 2 with a Droid Razr M last week. When I activated the phone for her I discovered there is no toggle option to move any Apps from internal storage to the SD Card. This is usually found by going to Settings-Manage Apps-Download-App Info as a toggle "Move to SD Card/Move to Internal Storage". I went to Motorola's chat and exhausted their knowledge base and was then directed to a phone support number. After talking with a level 1 and level 2 help persons, they synched into my wife's phone and then compared a Razr M on their end. They finally admitted that the move option does not appear in the Razr M version of ICS. This is a critical omission considering the limited size of the Razr M internal storage.I was told by the level 2 that there might be Apps available to fix the problem. I tried App2SD but found it directed me back to the missing toggle. Is this true of all Razr M phones or is it a bug in the software of only a few? In either case, is there a service patch available to correct it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had a 2GB media card and got a new, 8GB one and was wondering if there's any way to move everything I had stored on the first media card to the new one. Like would it work if I first moved it to the device memory and then switched media cards and moved it onto that one? And if so, how would I do that?

View 1 Replies View RelatedA configuration snafu sent pictures to a folder in Device Memory. (Device Memory/Home/User/Pictures) All my previous pictures went to memory card. (Media Card/Blackberry/pictures) I am not able to move the pictures from the Device Memory folder to either the memory Card or to my PC. Normal "Move" and PC downbload procudes don't work (I can't get to the Device Memory folders via my PC, and the Blackberry won't let me move from the Device memory to the Media Card.) These pictures will be lost if I can't move them. I don't want to email them. How do I move the pictures in Device Memory/Home/User/Pictures to either the Media Card or to my PC.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have about 8 gigs worth of music on a 16 gig class 6 SD card in my D3. Every so often some music files will disappear and LOST.DIR will then have numeric files in its folder. I do not know why this is happening, but I am not the first who seems to be having this issue.
I thought I was doing something wrong that was causing the SD card to unmount incorrectly but my D3 has not been USB connected all morning and I have lost 140 files, and correspondingly LOST.DIR now has 140 numeric files.
My Bionic is connected to my Exchange Server @ my Firm. My Firm requires Device/Storage Encryption, which the Bionic supports just fine. Now that our phones/SD cards are encrypted when the phone is connected to a PC and the SD card mounted the pics are no longer readable because they are encrypted. Windows is unable to read them, if I email that pic from my phone to my gmail I can open it just fine. If I try to open it direct from the SD its a NO GO. I already ruled out that its my PC I tried 5 other including my personal PC at home...NO GO! So how to I access the pictures direct off the SD?

Not sure what is going on here. why I can't access the music on my SD card that was fine on my Droid4? Seems odd that my music folder is empty (when I browse to it using files/astro.)
View 8 Replies View RelatedOn day two of owning my X2 I got a error when it tried to read the external SD card. I called Verizon and they had me format it on my laptop. I did this and then reloaded my 4 gig of music back to it. Yesterday evening it did it again and now Verizon is sending me a new card. In the mean time I am using a 1 gig card that I had left over from my Storm. The first thing I noticed is when I transfered the music from my laptop to the 1 gig sd card via a card reader the transfer rate was near 6 meg. When I transfered my music to the card that is bad the transfer rate never got about 2.5 meg. I now notice after listening to music for the last 4 hours at work it never skipped at all. I had very frequent skipping with the original card. Another thing I noticed is the phone doesn't lag at all when I am listening to music.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm back with yet another problem with this phone. So disappointing. Anyway, here's the problem, few days ago my GF lost all her pictures and music from her SD card. Internal storage is untouched.
I never owned Android phone, but did some research and seems like this problem usually occurs after OS update. She didnt update her phone. Never connects to PC, and did nothing unusual. When she inserts this SD card to HTC Desire X (her old phone) it says SD is damaged, and but shows nothing on G3.When she connects G3 to PC the SD doesnt show up there too.
On my previous phone I could use the app "Super Tool Box 10+" to move applications to the SD card; however, when I select that option on this phone, the button "move to SD" is not present...
