View 2 RepliesI've noticed that I am getting a LOT of drops from 3G to 1X since being on this new software. I hesitated but went ahead and did a wipe/reset and that hasn't helped. I thought maybe it was the area I am in (Las Vegas) but my wife's HTC device is NOT doing it.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMoto Droid Ver 2.2.2. Starting yesterday, I am getting frequent, ramndom re-boots. I say random because they occur if it is the dock, on a table, idle or not idle, middle of a call, etc. I have not down loaded anything from the market in at least a week. It has never done this in the 18 months I have had it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had the DroidX since last August. I am a frequent listener to streaming audio, especially while out and about (driving around the local area, in the grocery store, etc.). Most of what I listen to is from twit.am (either via the TwitDroid app or sometimes StreamFurious Pro), but I also use several radio-oriented apps (such as iHeartRadio or uneIn Radio).
I've never been able to keep a stream going for more than 10 minutes without it dropping. I always thought it was due to sketchy 3G coverage here in the Hudson Valley but had no way of testing that theory until today, when I remembered that the Google CR48 that I am testing has built-in Verizon 3G. So, to test the DroidX hardware defect theory, I took the CR48 in the car with me today on 50 mile round trip from Hyde Park to Fishkill and back. I listened to twit.am the whole way and did not experience a single dropout!
Case closed, it seems to me.
Any thoughts on whether this issue is confined to the DroidX (e.g. are there other Moto android phones that don't have the issue)? What about other vendors like HTC or Samsung, do they suffer similar problems? I'm considering whether to stay with Moto when I am eligible for an upgrade this coming June. At this point I am inclined to jump ship because of this issue.
t how to delete frequently called numbers? I had an app on GB that worked well. It is not supported in ICS.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOne the page that allows you to "Add a social network or media account" I have two icons for Facebook. I guess one was there, and then when I downloaded the FB app it created another one. I'm not using the social network feature, but I don't want two FB icons in there. I've uninstalled the FB app and then there is just one icon in there, but when I reinstall FB another icon appears. Is that just the way it has to be? I guess I can live with it if I have to.

View 14 Replies View Related[I wish to phrase this so as not to run afoul of the Forum Rules, so please understand that I have no desire to beat my chest or derail the forum with unsupported topics -- I just want an answer]I previously ran a custom ROM on my Droid 2, but for the sake of security and stability I opted to switch back to official Motorola version of Android, which I did carefully and successfully. In the process, I also accepted the OTA update which took my Droid 2 to system version 4.5.621, aka "621".It runs just fine, but yet I'm thoroughly unhappy. According to all the major hacking sites (Rootzwiki, Droidforums, XDA), version 621 cannot be rooted or reverted to a previous OS (due to some kind of 'signature code group'). I've purchased root-only software that I can apparently never run again, plus now I'm missing simple but addictive features like having a music pause button on my lock screen. Having official software has turned out to NOT be worth the tradeoff in features for me, and Motorola gave no warning that the update was locking me in for good.
How do I dump the entire Motorola OS 4.5.621? I'm 100% willing to forego a warranty (which has probably expired anyway), never bother tech support again (this is my first time), and leave this forum forever to go on my merry way with a generic/hacked Android system.

View 15 Replies View RelatedSince I got my baby back ladt week, I've had some reocurring problems. While in the browser, I find it closes without warning or message, often. Sometimes it even reboots.
Also, i've had several reboots when touching anything in Settings. I've factory reset a couple of times, and will again shortly.
I am experiencing frequent system hangs and following reboots, as many as 4 reboots during the after work surfing sessions.
I have not been able to find a pattern, in the beginning I thought that it was connected to the browser, so I installed firefox, but the problem persists.
I have seen the problem on different networks.
I don't use it, and have deleted It from my home screen. But my logs are full of it:
12-15 12:04:43.426 I/QuickContactService( 3360): refreshWidgets called

Eight widget id values each time, looks like about nine times an hour, 24/7. Is there a way to stop this waste? Or at least keep it from pushing useful stuff out of the log buffers?
How do I remove an Amazon ad from my Turbo main screen? Tried removing but still on and annoying....
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there not a way to remove the horizontal Google search bar from all, or even some of my screens? All the other widgets and items on our main screens can be long pressed and removed, but this one just opens no matter how I press it.
It is odd because there is an option to add it as it is showing with the other widgets in the widget menu, but no way to remove it. I just find it an annoyance that you can't move it or delete it. I had the same search bar on my S3 and could delete it.
I have a droid Maxx turbo and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the white Google search bar strip at the top of every screen the home screen and any other screen you slide over to because I like to use pictures from my wallpaper and the white bar gets in the way of some of the pictures I put up...

View 1 Replies View Relatedthere is a small insert that removes from the dock in case you have a case on the D3. if you remove that and just snip off the far left side (top of M opposite side of headphone jack) it works great. when you clamp it down there is a slight wiggle since its smaller than D3 but not enough to bother anything and nothing if your not touching it.if you have one of these from the D3 and you try and place the M in it you will see immediately the little corner i am talking about when you try to put the M in the dock.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI hate to ask this, but I did not find an answer while searching through the forum. Is there a way to turn off or remove the Status Bar / Notification Bar battery icon. View 7 Replies View RelatedI assigned pics to a bunch of my contacts and was pleased to see they synced over to my Exchange account. All of my Android phones I've had since then (G1, Droid, G2, Sidekick 4) pulled those pictures down from Exchange once I set up my contact sync and showed them in Contacts, when I'd get an incoming call from that person, in the text messaging app, etc.
But, the Droid3 doesn't. I'm guessing this is because it looks like it uses a custom app for Exchange, but still, I'd like to see it fixed/added. FWIW, contact pics from my Google+ contacts do show up.
So the new Gallery app, when you click on share to, it opens just about every program you could possibly share with..
Is there a way to remove some of the apps from the list, or at least change the sort to mostly used or favorites..

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, two days ago, I retrieved my Triumph from my coat pocket and was greeted by a black crash screen with green font listing my phone's information (hardware/software version and model numbers, RF band id, productID, MEID number, ESN number, BT Address, WiFi Mac, and Battery ADC). I have no idea exactly what caused the crash. The phone would not respond to a power down, so I had to remove the battery. After subsequent attempts to reinsert the battery and power up (with varying amounts of time between power ups from two minutes to an hour), I arrive at the same error screen each time, after the big "M" splash loading screen. I've had this phone for about a week, and am still pretty unfamiliar with Motorola phones or the Android OS.
