Facebook was working fine. Now when it tries to refresh the screen just keeps flashing on the home screen. I have tried the battery pull, turning off and on. When I uninstalled and reinstalled it worked for about a day but is now doing the same thing again.

While the calendar was opened, I hit the refresh button and now all of my events have disappeared! Everything-past,present,future gone. "Refresh" doesn't mean "delete" so I'm not sure what happened here but I had TONS of info in that calendar. How to recover the events?

All pins okay in the phone and battery is sound yet phone will unpredictably lose power.Support recommended a Factory Data Reset to "refresh the power system inside the phone" and I'm uncertain about doing this even though all of my apps are backed up on the SD card.

I can see my own profile ı can see the messages but I can't see or refresh the home page (news feed). I returned my phone to the factory settings and reset all data. I installed the Facebook app from the Market, and now when I go to accounts, and click Add, I see 2 facebook icons (one produces the annoying Motorola terms & conditions screen and I suspect is tied into Blur somehow), the other is clearly the Facebook account that goes with the Facebook app, but when I click that one, nothing happens. Can I add a facebook account without agreeing to Motorola's T&C (and possible getting bogged down in their social networking apps)?

It seems to have immediately synced with my Facebook, which is cool and all, but I don't have the ability to merge my existing contact with a person's number to their facebook profile contact. Furthermore, when I attempt to manually add the number to the Facebook contact, I don't appear to have the ability to execute such a function. That is not the case with my Droid 3.
1) I've added a Facebook Account
2) There was no pre-installed facebook app so I downloaded and installed the Facebook App from the Market.
No pictures in my contacts although my facebook contacts did appear (in text form). I did wait a day to see if they'd come down. Next, I removed the app and the account. This time around I switched the order...
1) I installed the Facebook app from the market
2) I went to add and account. There was a small facebook icon and a large one. The large one looked "new" so I tapped it. The screen when blank for a second and then back to the account icons.
3) I chose the smaller facebook icon and was prompted for my login.
Facebook is listed as an account, but still no pictures in my contacts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently did a factory reset on my device and now when I log into facebook thru the account settings I am able to log in but my contacts don't show in my contact lists anymore and when I go into social networks I don't have any feed showing up like I did prior to the reset. I can post a status update with no problems. I logged into facebook and checked settings and still have droid in my allow applications to access my info. Is anybody else having this issue after a master reset? Is this issue maybe on facebooks side? Like I stated I've done many master resets on my droid x and droid x2 and never had the issue syncing fb back up.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI had random issues with the fb app when on GB also, but now it wont start at all, or, it starts, then goes black and never recovers. finally about 10 - 15 minutes later I get a pop up message that the app has stopped responding and do I want to report it. Of course I report it every time.
I tried uninstalling the app completely but could not do it. I could only uninstall the upgrades made to it previously, so I tried that and then reinstalled the upgrades, but to no avail.
I did not realize that fb is a permanent app. I thought I could uninstall it completely, but I cannot. Has anyone else run into this with fb?
yes I did have other issues with ics and I have cache cleared and started uninstalling app's where possible. I have NOT tried a factory reset yet, but that may very well be next.
i cant seem to sync my fb contacts.i entered my fb email/pass into the accounts appit said it was ok, but no contacts show up in my contacts nor do any show up in my gallery app. i tried re-entering the info, removing the acct, adding it again, rebooting my phone etc. now, it looks like there is a tiny bit of progress.. i can see "me" but that's it. in the contacts app, if i only select to display fb contacts, it just shows me and not body else. in the gallery app, if i hit menu and then hit "friends" again, it only shows me. why is this not pulling in any contacts/friends?

View 6 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if there is a way to sync contacts from FB to the phone the old way where you could choose to only sync those people that were already in your contacts list rather than sync every one of the 600 FB friends someone might have? My husband has groups on FB so he accepts a lot of people that have a certain car but groups them together. However he doesn't want to scroll through them all to make a phone call and doesn't like the idea of having to delete thm from his FB either. Nor does he like not having pictures for his contacts.

When I choose "View Profile", it opens a mobile Facebook webpage in a browser window and opens my news feed, but not his/her profile.
I have tried with both the stock browser and Dolfin HD as my default browser. I've added my FB account to google and also have the (mostly useless, IMHO) Facebook app. I've deleted and readded my Facebook Account as well. My contacts show their FB profile pic, and I can poke and write on his/her wall. Behavior is the same from within the social networking app.
Is my expectation that his/her profile open when I click "view profile" wrong?
Facebook Calender sync with Bionic?Is there a way to do this? My Samsung Charge (POS!) did this, and was wondering if there was something I needed to change in the Bionic to do this..I'd also like to add that this phone fricking Rocks. I had the Samsung Charge for 3 weeks and I think I got a minor ulcer from it - muted calls, reseting, freezeing on reset. The screen was beautiful, bout all I have to say nice about the phone.I will say - it chews up the battery, but that's ok. I expected that from the begining. I'm just really impressed with it. Only problem or complaint I have is the blue tooth dialing.. It's locked up and reset the phone three times.. it's very differnt from the way it worked on my droid. Seems to be a diffrent program all together.

I see all of them in the facebook for android app. Twitter, with its simple design, is the mostly the only thing I see updates from in Social Networking.I dug into the software on the phone and found the probable cause.The App Social Networking uses a process called com.motorola.blur.friendfeed.After tracing the path to the resource files for this process, I find this process uses 2 resource files, both located in /system/app/ called FriendFeed.odex and FriendFeed.apk. These files and the other files related them (friendfeed.xml file that crossreferences process com.motorola.blur.friendfeed to friendfeed.jar) all have a date/timestamp of 3-8 16:25 - basically, about when the Droid 4 first came out.
