Motorola Droid Razr :: Sync XT910 With Outlook / Lotus Notes
Dec 4, 2011
I just bought a new RAZR XT910 and I'm starting to get a really uneasy feeling that I'm not going to be able to sync it with my Outlook calendaring and scheduling like I used to do with my old Nokia E63.
I was working under the assumption that there would be hundreds of apps on the new Android phones that would be able to do simple things like this? so far I haven't really found anything?
I found Motorola PC Suite 5.1 but I haven't downloaded and tried it yet ... has anyone used this software or can anyone advise some other application that will sync Calendering, scheduling, contacts etc with Outlook and with Lotus Notes?
I need to sync outlook for work , but I'd also like to sync with Lotus Notes at home if possible (far superior to Outlook)
By the way, synchronising with google or having a gmail account is NOT an option, I do not trust these people and besides, I don't need another email account, I already have one at work and one at home.
The Verizon Sales assistant assured me that I'd be able to Sync my Outlook with my Droid Razr as easily as I synced it with my old Blackberry Tour. Now, after several days' worth of set-up, google searches, forum searches and FAQ's, I'm come to the conclusion that Motorola did NOT build this function into the Droid Razr, and I have to pay a hefty fee for a decent 3rd-party app to do what my Blackberry did for free. Have I missed something?
Recently my phone keep rebooting itself about every 2~3 hours. And some time, the power up button unable to wake up the phone display, so need press few times until it responce
I'm using Lotus notes on my work pc and i installed recently the Nokia OVI Suite. For I can see, this program can not synchronize with Lotus Notes, it is truth ?
I working with the latest PC Suite 7.1.60.0 ( Windows 7 x64 ) and try to Sync my Lotus Notes Calender nsf database from the Notes Server with the Nokia E52 Cellphone. At the settings I could choose my nsf database an save it. Now I would sync the Notes calender with the PC Suite. Sync is starting and I got the question about the password from the notes nsf and go ahead. Now I got the message, a pop up from PC sync " notes/company/de!!mail/person.nsf, file is missing ". I try it w/wo password access to the notes database. But both not possible.
I haven't found a proper answer to this so posting here. Hopefully I will get a quick answer from some of the experts here.
BB Desktop Manager version: 5.0.1.37
Device: Curve 8900 4.6.1
Lotus notes version: 8.0.2
I use BIS with tmobile and have my gmail emails delivered to my device.I am doing a lotus notes one-way calendar sync with my BB calendar. I am able to do this successfully. But the alarm & free/busy thing does not sync.Even though I have alarm set in my notes which works perfectly and I see the notification 15 mins before the meeting on my PC. They don't show up in BB calendar. In BB Desktop Manager-> map fields, the notes 'notify me' is mapped to 'device alarm flag' but when I open the details of an entry that BDM is going to make in the accept/reject screen these fields are empty. I am using the default field mapping in the desktop manager.
All reminder works for the entries that I create directly in BB. The device calendar reminder is set properly. No issues there. What should I change in the desktop manager so that I get a reminder in my BB for the lotus notes entry?
I have a Nokia E72 with nevest software and Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.1. I have syncrinized my contacts with Notes and then I have assigned some contacts to the phones speed dial. This assignment is removed every time i syncronize with Notes
I was doing a bit of texting on my RAZR, when the screen hung, i waited for 5 minutes before doing a Power button + Volume Down key, which rebooted the phone.
Now the Phone wont power on. The battery is fully charged & i have tried the vol down + Power button combo.
Previously I used a ROKR E6e, I bought that thinking it would be compatible with the S9 or S10 headphones but I couldnt use it for Play via Bluetooth. Now I just wanna know whether my RAZR is compatible with S10 HD or any other stereo Bluetooth device?
You have upgraded your android software upgrade page with the following information for Asia/Pacific, MOTOROLA RAZR ICS (Android 4.0.4) rollouts began in July 2012. Upgrade to Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) planned for select countries and carriers, Can you be specific about which countries you will cover ?
The ICS update was pushed to my xt910 today. Froze during the install when it said starting apps. Had to hold all three buttons and reset it. Was laggy when i turned it on. Now my music or my gallery wont open. Just opens the background of the app and then freezes. Phone also wont make a sound when it rings it just vibrate. When i try to set a ringtone it just freeze my device. My files works strangely enough but you cant open anything.
However, recently, when I switched on my phone, it switched to Webtop mode, even though it wasn't connected to my dock nor to any HDMI cable. This happens every time I switch my phone on, and has been happening for a week now. The only workaround I've been able to find is to go to the Display menu, check and uncheck the "Enable HDMI cable detection". It works perfectly fine after that.
when I tried to save new contact on my XT910, it's not showing in Contact and then I realise (maybe it's a misbelief) that new contact will appear in my contact list only when I do sync with GoogleContact. How can I change this way, because I want to save new contacts straight to my phone memory without any Sync's.
Whenever i press the search button while i am in apps screen in my razt xt910, it gives me "Sorry! The application Home-screen (process com.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. try again". It than takes me to the home screen after a sizeable pause.
Is there a way to sync Outlook Notes with the iPhone? There is a new app called Outlook Notes which claims to do it but I was wondering if anyone has tried it.
I was surprised to find that the Droid Razr HD does not have a Tasks To Do or Notes app that corresponds to the Microsoft Outlook. I'm looking for reliable Apps for the phone that will sync with Outlook on my PC. I do not want to leave my private information in a cloud where some 14-year-old hacker can get at it. I want to sync with a cord just as I am doing now between Outlook and Droid pre-installed apps. I do that now with "AndroidSync" but there's nothing to sync those other two catgories with yet. Any advice on apps that do those chores and sync directly to the PC?
Following some changes to my Outlook configuration, which included changing the mail profile in use, I am now unable to sync Outlook Notes to my Nokia phone. After running a sync operation, the Ovi GUI shows the sync sucessfully completing but the updates to the notes are not made. Checking the sync application log (PC Suite profile) on the phone (UK Voda E71) via Bluetooth, it does not show any attempt to sync with the phone; The log is not even updated. My hunch is that I need to correct the Outlook folder location that Ovi finds the notes in. Can anybody advise how I might do that?
I have a new Razr Maxx and my email and calendar are syncing with my office Outlook account, but I can't get the contacts to sync. They were loaded originally (at the Verizon Wireless store) off of my old phone, but they will not sync.
The E90 (Firmware upgraded today) does not sync completely with Outlook 2007. I'm missing new agenda-entries and ALL notes.(Notes-sync as well as agn-sync are set to manual and of course I have triggered both syncs several times after updating software)
And I'm also missing a possibility to access the notes on the mobile device - the old E90-Software permitted that, but I'm not seeing how to do that with Ovi?
Since the new software update for my E71 (500.21.009) I have a new application called IBM Lotus Notes Traveler. Because I don't need/use it I want to remove it but every time I do it just installs itself and shows me the welcome wizard of that program. I removed it using the app manager. So does anybody know how to remove this or is it 'impossible'?
I bought the Nokia E72 to have a good phone for business and work. Since 1 week my Lotus Notes calendar could not be synchronized any more. PC Suite issues a lot of warnings (item xyz cannot be inserted on the phone's calendar) but these messages are not useful. So I de-installed PC Suite and installed the Ovi Suite, but what is this? I cannot see how to synchronize my Lotus Notes calendar?! The menu items says that Microsoft Outlook is supposed to be installed, but sorry, this is not my company's organizer system. So please tell me how to synchronize my company's calendar with my E72 via the OVI suite because this is a crucial feature.
